(10-96) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters.

There is an emperor named Light in the south; and there is an emperor named Darkness in the north; and there is an emperor named Void in the middle. Light and Darkness often meet in Void's place. Void treated them kindly. Light and Darkness wanted to return the kindness of Void, and said: "Every man has seven apertures (eyes, ear, mouth, and nose) for sight, sound, food, and air; only Void does not have any.
