Dream & Chinese Medicine

(6-96) I did not become a vegetarian because of the altruistic motive of saving the animals or following the Buddhist's teaching of not to kill. It was coincidental, that I became one.

I am the kind of person who can remember lots of dreams after waking up. A persistent dream of eating and throwing up occurs almost daily for the past few months. It was unpleasant and disturbing. It was by accident that I noticed on the meatless days, I was free of dreams of eating. I stopped eating meat, and guess what, my stubborn heart burn was gone, and the eczema I had for years on the bottom of my foot started to heal.

Days after this happened, it was to my surprise to find out that in the ancient time Chinese doctors already used dreams as one of their diagnostic tools. It makes sense. I can believe that our bodies know what's wrong before our intellect. Our intellect nowadays is simply too busy with 20th century, hi-tech information.
