Alice Sakaguchi is a high school student who has just moved to Tokyo. She has a special ability to speak with plants and animals. Jinpachi and Issei are the ones who tell Alice about their dreams of living on the Moon. Shortly afterwards she has her first "Moon Dream". Her neighbor, Rin Kobayashi, has a crush on her which is due to their relationship on the moon.  But Rin is now nine years younger than Alice, and she initially has no romantic feelings for him, which is understandable since he's an elementary school student.  Alice triggers Rin's first "Moon Dream" when she accidentally knocks him off of his balcony. She feels very guilty and agrees to be Rin's "fiancee", after the accident. She also had romantic feelings for Jinpachi and Haruhiko (because of his similar appearance to Shion).

Mokuren has the ability to speak with plants, and has a deep afinity for the Earth. This results in Alice's abilities when she is reborn on Earth.  She loves Shion and would like to go to the Earth, except her mission keeps her from doing so.    When she sings, plants  grow, thus her love for plants in her present incarnation.
