Woman: "KYAAA! Iya---!! Somebody! Somebody help me---!!" Seems that a girl is about to be raped by some guys. Everyone looks but just walks on.

"Hey hey, let me get a shot at her too." He's pulling at her legs.

Woman: "I...! Iya--!"

The man feels something tap the back of his head. [It's a shoe by the way.]

Man: "N?" He hears the sound of somebody being beaten. He turns. "N?"

Boy: "...Se." He kicks at the man's face. The man's buddy is lying unconscious on the ground. [se doesn't really have a meaning in case you’re wondering.]

Man: "!!"

A boy knocks the man to the ground, then turns to the woman: "Are you all right?"

The woman nods.

Text: This sort of scene is not unusual in this city.

Boy: {...Nobody stopped to help...}

Text: Nobody cares about others. The city where people's personalities can change suddenly as day becomes night. This is Tokyo -- crazy paradise.

Four guys are kicked out of their apartment. All they have with them are the clothes they're wearing (school uniforms) and, 2 frame photos and 2 urns containing ashes.

"Umm~~~..."

"If we're kicked out of here..."

"We have nowhere to go---..."

Landlady: "That's not my problem. We can't keep people who don't pay. Hurry up and leave." She waves her hand as if shooing them away. She slams the door.

Four boys: "Old hag!"

"Shi~~~t!!"

Boy 1: "It's suddenly like we're garbage since our parents died." {She was so nice until yesterday---}

Boy 2: "And that old hag sold our parents' momentos---"

Boy 3: "That can't be helped. We can't pay a rent by ourselves... In this cold world everyone's trying hard to survive."

Boy 2: "A~~~a... If our parents weren't cops---"

Boy 3: "Sho, that's a forbidden phrase. Our parents did their best to give us a great life!" He is introduced as Kozuki Takuma, age 16. [Last name is first.]

Boy 3: "I know that......" He's introduced as Kozuki Shohei, age 13.

Boy 4: "...We should have been nicer to them..." He's introduced as Kozuki Toshiyuki, age 13.

Boy 1: "...Dad... Mom..." He's introduced as Kozuki Tsukasa, age 14. "...I’m hungry~~~!!" {Why'd you have to die---}

One of his brothers: "Tsukasa!"

They're sitting on the curb discussing what to do.

One of them: "...But seriously, if we don't do something, we’re going to starve to death."

Toshiyuki: "We don't have any generous relatives. I wonder if there's some rich person somewhere that would take us in---"

Shohei: "Does that mean we have to become a member of the yakuza or something~~~..." [Yakuza are like Japanese gangsters/Mafia/syndicate type of people.]

Takuma karate chops his brother on the head.

Shohei: "O~~~w!"

Takuma: "BAKA! Who's fault do you think it is that our parents died!! It's 'cause they got between some rivaling yakuza groups!!"

Tsukasa, his stomach growling: "...That's right. We're like this know because of the letter ya......" [Yakuza is spelled in 3 letters ya-ku-za.]

Shohei: "Wa---!! I'm sorry! I'm sorry oniichan--!!!" [oniichan = big brother, can also refer to older males, even if they're not related to you.] Sound effects of Shohei being spanked.

Takuma: "And you're gonna sell your soul to our parents' enemy---!!?"

Toshiyuki: "...Tsukasa...?" {What are you thinking about?}

Takuma has Shohei turned over his knee and is spanking his younger brother.

Tsukasa's stomach is growling. "Okay, I'm gonna sell my soul to the yakuza!"

Tsukasa's brothers: "Huh!!?"

At a large house. A sign outside of the house labels it as Kuryugumi. [Which literally means the group of nine dragons.]

Inside the meeting room, several men are gathered.

"---...So."

"Since the assassination of the former head, we have been keeping an eye on all possible syndicates but it doesn't appear that any of them are going to make a move of some sort.”

"To be able to kill a man with so many bodyguards means that the killer is not a amateur. Wouldn't it be Hizakigumi? They've been after the position for being number one in the Kanto area."

A guy with light coloured hair pounds on the desk. [Well he looks young for a man.]

The kumiin all start: "!!"

The guy: "---So you haven't found anything yet. What have you been doing until now? It's not a time to be playing!!"

A man approaches the guy: "---Sandaime... There's a friend waiting for you in the guest room---..." [Sandaime = third generation]

The guy with light coloured hair: {Who's this?} "...A friend...?"

It's Tsukasa.

Tsukasa: "It's me."

The guy: "Send him home."

Tsukasa: "A~~~ How awful Ryuji-kun!!!" [Seems the guy's name is Ryuji. -kun is usually tacked on to a boy's name.] "Don't be so cold and listen to my story---. We were friends from grade 1 through 8 and we've even sat next to each other all through then---"

Ryuji: "...Friend...? Are there such friends that have sat next to each other from grades 1 through 8 that haven't once spoken to each other......"

Tsukasa, sighing: "...Because you’re so gloomy." Several photos are shown with Tsukasa and Ryuji coincidentally in the same shots. Ryuji is always seen gloomy and depressed while Tsukasa is always smiling.

Ryuji: "...Anyway... I don't have any ears that can listen to the words of the gokudo's worst enemy the police!!" [gokudo = wicked, scoundrel, gangsters etc] "Hurry up and get out of here!"

Tsukasa: "But I'm not a cop's kid anymore. They died, Dad and Mom... ...leaving me this one ring...... They were off duty... and they went out... but they went back to the place where 4 days ago your father was killed, and they were following the suspect and......"

Ryuji: "!! Did you see the criminal!? Did you hear about it!!?"

Tsukasa: "Aah... I could tell you about it... but before that......" Tsukasa suddenly looks cute with huge tears in his eyes. "I'm hungry."

Ryuji: "......"

Tsukasa and brothers get a huge meal.

Tsukasa: "Sorry to press my family upon you like this."

Ryuji, with a body guard standing behind him: "I don't care but you better talk once you're finished eating."

Tsukasa, all full, patting his stomach: "I'm full. ...So about the talk..."

Ryuji: "!"

Tsukasa: "...I'll talk about it tomorrow--- so have a meal ready for then too." {Later, thanks for the meal.}

Ryuji, pissed: "WAIT A MINUTE!!"

Somewhere in a cell [it kind of looks like a prison.]

Tsukasa is locked up in a room alone and is lying face down .

Tsukasa: "Ow~~~... I meant to eat then take off, but I think I ate too much and my movements were slowed~~~" {...To be honest I haven't heard anything from Mom or Dad...... Except that it's the same one that got Ryuji's father.} "It's something I wanted to know myself." {...I wonder where they (brothers) were taken~... But if I lie now...I'll probably be killed... ...He looked so desperate---... though he's never shown any expression at school...... ---I wonder if he cried at his father's death---... How...?} Tears come to Tsukasa’s eyes. "A." {I'm not pitying him, I'm just teary today! This is why my brothers say I'm not manly inside!! ---That's right. Don't pity the yakuza Even if he's not involved in Mom and Dad's deaths, I don't want to pity him...! No matter what happens---...}

Next morning Takuma, Toshiyuki and Shohei are to be executed unless Tsukasa tells Ryuji who the killer is.

Takuma, Shohei and Toshiyuki are to be killed in that order. They're standing (bound) against a wall and a huge knife is coming at their necks. "Tsukasa~~~~~~"

Tsukasa, with tears in his eyes: "Ogre! Devil! Cold hearted villain! Monster---!!"

Ryuji: "Shut up!! If you want to leave here with their necks intact then tell me who killed my father!"

Tsukasa glances up to the left: "---..."

Ryuji notices this: "You looked up to the left with just your eyes... It's your habit when you lied since you were a gaki". [gaki = kid/brat especially a troublesome one]

Bros: {Wow, for 8 years of not getting along...}

Tsukasa starts.

Ryuji: "Don't tell me..."

Tsukasa: "N! No! Um! Um a picture! That's right! I saw the picture once!!"

Ryuji: "Make a montage!!"

Brothers: "Aah~~~ It’s the end!!!"

Tsukasa, panicking: "......! ......!"

Tsukasa: "Umm...like this...?"

Ryuji: "That the face of my driver who was dismissed 5 years ago."

Tsukasa: "I mean something like this..."

Ryuji: "That's my left hand man (bodyguard) who was dismissed last year!"

Tsukasa: "No, more like this..."

Ryuji: "That's the girl I broke up with just yesterday!!"

Bros: {You guys really don't get along? How could you know so much about each other...}

Ryuji: "...You~~~!! Are you mocking me...?" His fist is shaking. Tsukasa is shaking his head violently. "Cut their heads off!!!"

Tsukasa: "Ya--!! Ya--! Ya--! Ya--!! Ya--!!!" Tsukasa starts begging and pleading. "I'll recognize him if I see him!!"

Ryuji looks at Tsukasa.

Ryuji: "---..."

Tsukasa: "Please~~~"

Ryuji: "---You’ll really recognize him if you see him---" Tsukasa nods. "Fine. Then from tomorrow, you're to be my bodyguard. If he killed father, he'll come after me next."

His men protest.

A kumiin with dark hair and glasses: "Sandaime, a mere kid from the streets?"

Ryuji: "Shut up!!"

Kumiin: "Hai!" [hai = yes/affirmative]

Ryuji: "I know his skills!!"

Tsukasa: "......"

Ryuji tells Tsukasa that his brothers are to be held as hostages until the killer is found.

In the hallway.

A kumiin: "---Have you been moved by emotions...... Even you Sandaime when someone cries on you like that so desperately..."

Ryuji: "...It's not that. It's just a deal..." {---It's not that but... ...just...} He remembers his father's death, and how all the kumiin looked to him now for orders and guidance. {When I see him, I do things that are not like me and it doesn't feel right...!} [Sorry, that's the best translation I can do... (T-T)]

A man with a bandage on his left cheek: "...Bodyguard? You're going to let an amateur street kid like this act as Sandaime's bodyguard?"

Tsukasa is introduced to the man and bows: "......"

The man, snickering: "Humph! Sandaime is being careless. Isn't he worried about his life?"

The kumiin with the glasses: "This way."

Tsukasa: "...What's with him? What an unpleasant guy!" Tsukasa gives man the finger behind his back.

The kumiin with the glasses: "Hey quit it! He's the leader of the head clan in Kuryugumi. An important man called Odawara!"

Tsukasa: {I don't care if he's some important guy but I don't like guys with eyes like that!! That's right! They're just like the eyes of the landlady who changed suddenly like that!!}

The kumiin with the glasses: "Use this room for today." He leaves.

Tsukasa digs out the ring from his pocket: "---..." {...I... don't really know the killer of Ryuji's father but... there's a chance that he'll come after Ryuji as well. All I have to do is protect Ryuji and catch him!! I don't want to help the yakuza but this is for my family! Mom... please watch over me..." He prays with the ring clenched in his hands.

Next day at school, everyone is shocked to see Ryuji and Tsukasa together.

"Uoo~~~~!!?"

"Hey hey what’s going on with those 2? The people who were as different as the plus and minus ends of a magnet are coming to school together---!?"

"...Th... there must be something up? How abnormal~~~..."

Today's gym class is swimming. Tsukasa turns green.

Ryuji, staring at Tsukasa: "Now that I think about it, you're usually sick for swimming and you're always last to change...I wonder why..."

Tsukasa start sweating. {What unpleasant eyes~~~... What's wrong with skipping swimming? I don't like being half naked in front of others. ...Also... I drowned 3 years and almost died I've hated water ever since.} Tsukasa has cleaning duty of the pool. Suddenly there was a flash of light. Thinking it was sniper, Tsukasa dives, taking Ryuji down. "Waaaaa!!"

Ryuji's two main bodyguards [the guy with the glasses and another older man without glasses: "S... Sandaime! Wh..." They fall into the empty pool and Ryuji cracks his head.

Ryuji: "What the hell do you think you’re doing!!?"

Tsukasa: "I just saved you!!"

Ryuji: "What!?"

Tsukasa: "There was something that flashed over there!!"

Ryuji, in a questioning manner: "Something that flashed.....?"

But it was only a robot postman. Ryuji chases after Tsukasa with the pool scrubber while Tsukasa tries to swim away in the little water there is in the pool.

One of Tsukasa's classmates: "Are you playing? Tsukasa~~~"

Tsukasa: {...I'm tired~~~... Is everyone gone yet...?} Tsukasa checks around the shower room. It’s empty. "Good, good. Nobody's here... right?" Surprise! Tsukasa is female! [Tsukasa is a unisexual name, as are many Japanese names. Before you guys ask, the word that Tsukasa and Ryuji are using for "he" and "her" is the same word in Japanese so in a conversation you can’t tell if someone's talking about a guy or a girl unless you know specifically who they're talking about. Makes things very complicated at times... (-_-')]

Tsukasa: {Considering I've been wearing a protector, they've sure been growing [referring to her breasts]. ---I've been raised as a boy at Mom's wish. This was because then and even now, the violent crimes committed against women are the next most common after murders. Mom used to see too many women dead at crime scenes and she used to say to me that...}

Tsukasa's mother: "You're going to grow up to be strong... Don't lose to boys---..."

Tsukasa: {I didn't... really mind going out with my brothers and fighting and all so it didn't really bother me but---...}

Tsukasa hears noises outside her shower stall. "...?" She peeks around the door.

The next class is finished and guys pour into the shower room.

Outside the shower room.

The kumiin without the glasses: "Sandaime, Tsukasa-san seems to be late."

Ryuji: "---..." He's smoking. He puts out his cigarette.

Tsukasa freaks out (there's no lock on the shower stalls): {What should I do? What should I do!!? Don't anyone come here!! Don't anyone open this!! If you do---...} She clenches a fist. {I'll knock you out with one blow!!!} The door opens but Tsukasa misses.

It's Ryuji. "...You haven't thrown away your feminine side yet. You can't take a man down covering your body like that." He gives her her clothes.

Tsukasa is suspicious -- {...Huh? ...Wait... Wait a minute, what do you mean by that? Does that, does that mean that you...} Tsukasa glances at Ryuji.

Ryuji: "...What are you so cautious about?"

Tsukasa: {Of course I'm cautious!! How come you know---!!!?}

Ryuji, whispering to her in her face: "I don't know what you're thinking but don't worry. Even if there was a shortage of girls in this world, I'm not desperate enough to lay a finger on someone like you."

Tsukasa, ticked: "....... ...... ......Oh yeah, that's right. You only go after the dumb ones with the big breasts. You pervert." {I know. All the girls up until now were like that.} "Ryuji you stud."

Ryuji: "What!!!? You---!!!"

Tsukasa starts running with Ryuji in pursuit.

Students: "What? Shirogami-san is running! I've never seen that!!!!" ["san" on the end of someone's name is a sign of respect]

Tsukasa: "Ryuji you aho---" [aho = stupid] {Ryuji you boke!} [boke = dummy]

Ryuji’s bodyguards: "...S... Sandaime...!"

Ryuji: {You're still saying things---!}

Tsukasa, cracking her knuckles: "I've been wanting to punch you out!" {You yakuza gaki---...}

Ryuji, also cracking his knuckles: "That's what I've been meaning to say!!" {You police gaki---...}

Tsukasa and Ryuji get into a fist fight with gathers a huge audience.

"Uwa--! Tsukasa and Shirogami-san are fighting---! Everyone come watch---!"

Somewhere in a dark room. A conversation between 2 people.

"It's been five days since Nidaime of Kuryugumi has died. Start the next plan soon." [Nidaime = 2nd generation, referring to Ryuji's father. Ryuji is Sandaime = 3rd generation]

"...Ha. But because of the former head's death, the guard is tough..."

"...Don’t worry about that. There's no reason to kill him there. We have to choose a place worthy of him for his death."

"What should we do about the new bodyguard Kozuki Tsukasa?"

"Don't worry about him. The one you’re to go after is Kuryugumi's Sandaime. I'll be waiting to hear how things are going."

The subordinate bows.

In the school infirmary, one of Ryuji's chief bodyguards (the one with the glasses) tends to Tsukasa's cuts and scrapes. His name is Shibuya, but Tsukasa calls him Bun-san.

Tsukasa: "Ow~~~"

Bun-san: "Tolerate it. You're a guy."

Tsukasa: "I'm going to call the school doctor." {Bun-san, you suck~}

Bun-san: "I'm almost done. But you're pretty good ...to be able to go that far (in a fight) with Sandaime."

Tsukasa: "...It's just a fight."

Bun-san: "Sandaime is skilled in karate, kendo, judo, aikido and using a gun."

Tsukasa: {...I thought it was just karate... Does such a guy really need a bodyguard?}

Bun-san: "...Well.. Someday he's to head the largest syndicate in the Kanto area, so he's been trained since he was a kid... He has to be a man that the kumiin respect so he already has the habit of not showing his emotions before others..."

Tsukasa: "..." She sighs in relief. "Is that right..." She starts suddenly. {Bastard!! Why do I have to be relieved about that!!}

In the washroom. Ryuji sees his bodyguard's face in the mirror.

Ryuji:"...Hey... ---what's so funny..." The older bodyguard is smiling.

Ryuji, turning: "Kamojima---" {Shit~~~ That's not a girl~~~}

Kamojima (the bodyguard) doubles over laughing: "S-Sorry. I can't...! ...But isn't this the first time that you've had your face marked like this?"

Ryuji: "~~~..."

Kamojima: "Seeing you two like that makes it look like you're long time friends.

Ryuji: "..." {Friends!!?} He starts. {You've got to be kidding!! Who's friends!! With a police gaki!}

Later, after school is let out.

Tsukasa: "Hey! Ryuji!! Let's go home!"

Her words freak out her classmates as well as Ryuji.

Tsukasa: "Isn't it safer that you hurry up and go home and sit still?"

Ryuji: "...... Do you know that the most important thing before being my guard is you finding the killer of my father?" {That's why I'm walking around like this.}

Tsukasa: "Th! That's right! My job is to find him!!" {...What's with me... Why did I say that? That's strange. I thought I hated the yakuza. ...That's right. I thought I just had to protect this guy but that was for Takuma, Toshiyuki and Shohei... It wasn't for this guy......} They're walking towards the car.

Tsukasa: "Huh? Kamo-san, did we come with 2 cars...?"

Kamo-san (seems to be Tsukasa's nickname for Kamojima): "...No...... ...Sandaime."

Ryuji: "...Aah."

Tsukasa: "?"

Kamo-san: "Please escape."

Tsukasa: "Waaaa!"

They're suddenly fired at.

Ryuji: "Baka hurry up and come!" [baka = aho = stupid]

Tsukasa: "I can't break a fall!!" {I'm not like you-!} "Aren't they the guys---!!" They start running.

Ryuji: "It's not them!"

Tsukasa: "They're after you aren't they?"

Ryuji: "Father was shot through the heart in one shot! Father wouldn't be hit with those reconstructed guns!"

Tsukasa and Ryuji: "!!!" Suddenly some men appear before them with guns.

Man: "I have Shirogami Ryuji!!"

The man is surprised as Tsukasa goes one way while Ryuji goes another. Tsukasa whips out a chain from somewhere and hits a few of the men in the head, breaking their shades. Meanwhile, Ryuji approaches the man that tried to shoot at him and knocks him to the ground.

Ryuji: "How much longer are you going to play!!"

Tsukasa, choking a man with her chain: "E~~~~ That's it alrea~~~dy? Aaa! I'm coming. I'm coming---!! Ryu-chan Wait for me---!!!" [-chan is usually tacked onto a girl's name but there are always exceptions. It can be attached to a guy's name to look cute...]

They end up at the pier.

Tsukasa: "A! We're cornered!"

Ryuji: "Jump in!"

Tsukasa: "E?"

Ryuji: "Jump in!"

Tsukasa: "But I can't swim!"

Ryuji: "I know that!!"

Tsukasa: {...Huh?}

He shoves her in.

Tsukasa: "Wa---!! Dad--- Mom, Taku, Sho, Toshi...!" {Seems like she has nicknames for her brothers too.]

Tsukasa attempts to swim. {I...It's no use! I'm sinking~~!! ...Can't... breathe... ...A... It's like back then 3 years ago when I slipped on the river bank and was washed down the river and I lost consciousness. ...And then......? ...I wonder who saved me then------...} She recalls waking up then and wondering who had stripped her of her protector. She loses consciousness.

Tsukasa comes to seeing a close up of Ryuji's face. She screams. She yells again when she realizes that he'd taken off her shirt and protector to revive her. She slaps him across the face a couple of times.

Ryuji: "Don't look at me with those eyes. I was just reviving you!!! (Mouth to mouth) You moron! You haven't improved at all since then--- I was about to drown again because of you!!" He passes Tsukasa her protector. "Hurry and put your protector on!" [The protector she wears holds her breasts back, so that she looks flat chested.]

Tsukasa: {...Since then... Then that time Ryuji...? Ryuji...Why? I thought Ryuji hated me because I was a police gaki. ...That's why he knows I'm a girl... Maybe he did mouth to mouth then too...}

Back at Ryuji's place.

Kamo-san and Bun-san: "Sandaime! Sandaime!"

Ryuji: "Aah... Were you guys hurt?"

Kamo-san: "We're all right."

Ryuji: "...Is that right. ...So... did you find out anything about them?"

Kamo-san: "Unfortunately we couldn't catch them..." {Seemed like they just wanted to scare us and run off...}

Ryuji: {...Now that I think about it, for those numbers there were few that actually fired shots...}

Tsukasa looks up at Ryuji: "...Isn't Hizakigumi... a rival to you...?"

Ryuji starts.

Tsukasa: "I've heard from Dad... That they're a pretty big syndicate. ...What are the possibilities that they killed your father...?" {Something about the kumicho liking shiny/sparkly things and having enough money to be able to import gold and jewels......} [kumicho = leader of a kumi; kumi = group]

Kamo-san: "There's no chance of that. Odawara and his executives said it wasn't Hizakigumi..."

Tsukasa: {Oh, the one with the wicked looking eyes.} "So if there's people who saw, then why don't you have them make a montage?"

Kamo-san: "But it was dark and they didn't remember their faces..."

Tsukasa: "---If they don't remember then how can they say it's not Hizakigumi!!?"

Kamo-san and Ryuji look at each other: "......"

"Sandaime." It's Odawara. "I heard that you were attacked and I was worried. Thank goodness you're all right..."

Tsukasa: {A... Him...}

Odawara: "Sandaime, I have a request to make."

Tsukasa glares at Odawara: "---I don't like him."

Ryuji, after Odawara leaves: "...You're still saying that?" He sighs.

Tsukasa: "There's something strange about him! You may not know it but he has really cruel looking eyes!"

Ryuji: "The gokudo all have eyes like that."

Tsukasa: "That's why I don't like how he suddenly looks like a good person in front of you only!"

Ryuji: "Among the gokudo betrayal deserves death."

Tsukasa, stopping in front of Ryuji: "But he's the one saying it wasn't Hizakigumi who shot your father and he's the one who was there when your father died!! There's something strange! That's suspicious!!" {It's like he's protecting Hizakigumi!!}

Ryuji looks a bit surprised: {---...Why...} "...I won't doubt my kumiin without evidence."

Tsukasa gets mad: "!! ...Fine......" {...Of course... He wants to believe in his group rather than me---!!} "I'll find proof!!" Tsukasa turns to leave.

Ryuji, kinda blushing: "---..." {---...Why. Why do you look at me with eyes like that---...}

Later that night: "...Tsukasa-san, I brought the stuff you requested but..."

Tsukasa: "Thank you Kamo-san."

Kamo-san: "...But... What are you going to do with this stuff...?"

Tsukasa: "...A bit of spying..."

Kamo-san: "...Ha...?"

Tsukasa starts dressing with the stuff Kamo-san brought: {If I do something like this, is it considered cross dressing...? Man, I hate women's clothing. It's so inconvenient and drafty...}

[For the visually impaired, she's wearing a tight tank top, a short skirt with a slit in the front, a jacket/shawl like thing, boots, a long straight haired wig, earrings, a huge choker, an armlet and makeup. She's also wearing her mother's ring.]

Kamo-san: "Sandaime, I've just received a phone call from Odawara saying that he was ready and is coming to pick you up..."

Ryuji: "...Where's Tsukasa......?"

Kamo-san: "Seems that she had some sudden business to attend to..."

Ryuji: "What!? Urgent business!? Of what!!!"

Kamo-san: "I don't know... I have no clue..." {I never know what she's up to...}

Ryuji: {Sudden business!? I'm going with Odawara right now!! And just earlier you were accusing Odawara as being suspicious with those eyes!!} He recalls Tsukasa just moments earlier when she tried to convince him that the man hiding something. {What's she going to do if something...} He starts.

Kamo-san: "I didn't tell her you were leaving with the head (Odawara)... was that wrong...? ...Sandaime...?"

Ryuji: {...No way... What was I... I thought I said that I wasn't going to question my kumiins------!}

Outside of Odawaragumi, at the main doors.

Tsukasa appears in her outfit plus shades. [Isn't it kinda dark to be wearing shades? It is night time...]

Tsukasa: "---..."

Odawara: "...Who are you? What are you doing here?"

Tsukasa: "...What do you mean what? Hey ...when are you going to finish the job?"

Odawara starts. "!!"

One of Odawara's kumiin: "What!? Who the hell are you!!?" He grabs Tsukasa's right arm.

Tsukasa retaliates with a kick, sending the man to the ground.

She pulls out a gun. "...If you take too long that will become a problem for us. We want to make ties with a larger foreign syndicates." [BTW, Tsukasa is actually using 'female' language for a change]

Odawara looks Tsukasa over, noting the jewellery and the gun. "Are you Hizaki's woman...? Just like the kumicho it seems that you like sparkling things..."

Tsukasa starts as she catches sight of people she recognized. A few men with bandaged heads glance at her as they walk by. They're the same guys she beat with her chain!

Odawara: "Sandaime is to be finished at the remains of the Red Cross building. I've just contacted Hizakigumi with that information."

Tsukasa: {AA!! Those guys------!!!}

Sound effects of someone running.

Tsukasa: {N... No way---...!!! Can that be!!!? That the whole Odawaragumi is betraying...!!!?}

A couple of kumiins catch sight of Tsukasa as she races down the hall.

"Hey! Who are you!!?"

Tsukasa shuts them up, flinging the accessories she was wearing at them.

Seems that she's back at Kuryugumi.

Tsukasa: {I shouldn't have left Ryuji's side---!!!} "Kamo-sa-----n!!!"

Kamo-san, not recognizing her at all: "...Who are you...?"

Tsukasa: "It's me! Me! Tsukasa!"

Kamo-san: "He!?"

Tsukasa: "Ryuji's in trouble! If we don't go save him he'll be killed!!"

Kamo-san: "...There's nothing to worry about. Kashira Odawara is with him and there are double the number of bodyguards........." [kashira = head; leader; boss]

Tsukasa: "I'm sa---ying that that Odawara is dangerous------!!!"

Odawara is seated next to Ryuji in the car.

Odawara: "---Sorry to ask you this sudden request but the president our client wished to meet with you and so..."

Ryuji: "------..."

Back at Kuryugumi.

Tsukasa is desperately trying to convince the Kuryugumi kumiin that Odawara is the dangerous one.

Tsukasa: "It's true!! Why won't you believe me!!?"

The other kumiin start to murmur among themselves.

"Because---..."

"That kashira Odawara is betraying..."

Tsukasa: "~~~~~~ ~~~~~~!! Aa---!! Fine!! I won't ask for your help!! Bakayaro------!" She slams her left hand on some table.

Everyone is surprised when sound emanates from the ring Tsukasa is wearing.

Tsukasa: "!?"

"BANG!"

"Kashira...!"

"You guys wound yourselves and make it look like we had a brawl with some kumi."

Tsukasa: {...A recording... ring...?}

"For Sandaime should we stage it in front of kumicho Hizaki......?"

"We have to ruin Kuryugumi to gain the trust of Hizakigumi. We have to show our loyalty."

"CLINK"

"Who's there!!?"

"There's someone there!! Kill them!!!"

Tsukasa: {...Then... Mom and Dad were also------...}

Kamo-san: "...!"

The kumiin listen intently to the recorded message.

"BANG! BANG!!"

The ring falls silent.

Tsukasa: {---Killed by them------...!!}

Back in Ryuji's car.

Ryuji: "------... ...Hey... Odawara..."

Odawara: "Hai."

Ryuji: "If father was suddenly shot by someone who up until now he trusted as an ally, even he would be wounded in the heart don't you think------..."

Tsukasa's previous words echo in his mind.

"---If they don't remember then how can they say it's not Hizakigumi!!? That's strange! That's suspicious!!"

Ryuji: {...That's right isn't it... Tsukasa---... ...Though you said so right from the beginning------...}

Odawara doesn't answer. "...Please... The client is waiting." He lets Ryuji out of the car.

Ryuji is standing alone in front of a large group of people.

Kumicho Hizaki has a woman draped on his left arm. The bald headed guy looks cold. "Though you are young you show that you are Kuryugumi's kumicho to be able to come here and not be moved at all."

Odawara is standing to Ryuji's left while one of his kumiin strips Ryuji of his gun.

Hizaki: "Don't take it personally. It is the destiny of Hizakigumi to become the head gokudo of the Tokyo region."

Ryuji, to Odawara: "...You guys... Are you prepared to take the consequences of breaking the oath of the gokudo...?"

Odawara takes out his gun and points it to Ryuji's head. "It doesn't sound like the words of someone who's about to be killed."

Hizaki: "Say hi to Nidaime for me------..."

Odawara: "Good bye Sandaime. Soon Kozuki Tsukasa will be there to see you."

Ryuji's eyes flash. He backfists Odawara in the face.

Odawara's kumiin: "!"

Odawara: "! AaaAA!!"

Hizaki: "!? F! Fire---!!"

"Kill him!!"

"Surround him---!!!"

The members of Hizakigumi draw out their guns.

From some distance a thunderous noise approaches.

Everyone turns in surprise.

"...!?"

"...Wh...?"

"!!?"

A cloud of dust and what seems like a million headlights are approaching at breakneck speed.

One person is seen riding a motorcycle.

Hizakigumi's kumiin just stare in shock.

"...C..."

"...Could it be......"

Ryuji even stares with his mouth slightly open: {...Could it be.........?}

Tsukasa: "Ryu------!!!" The one on the bike is Tsukasa.

Ryuji: {What------...!?}

Tsukasa: "Here we go!" She's carrying a machine gun. [Since when did she know how to use one?] She fires into the crowd towards everyone's feet. They all scatter.

Odawara: "WHA!!?" {A...! That woman------!!!}

Tsukasa: "OODAWARAAAAAA---!!!"

Odawara: "A...!"

Tsukasa suddenly jumps off the bike, letting it run over Odawara.

Tsukasa lands gracefully as Ryuji stares in wonder.

Ryuji: "---...Tsu...?"

Hizaki: "...Ku!" He starts shooting wildly. "You! You! You!"

Ryuji: "..."

Tsukasa: "..."

Bullets zing by but nobody is hit.

Text pointing to Hizaki: He sucks.

One of Hizakigumi's kumiin: "Enough! There's too many of them! Let's get out of here!!" {Come on your gun technique sucks!} He starts tugging on a rope.

Hizaki, who's being hauled away by a rope around his neck. "The throne to the number one position of the Kanto region---! No----!!!"

The members of Kuryugumi surround Ryuji.

"Sandaime---!"

"Sandaime!"

"Sandaime! Are you all right!?"

"What shall we do about Odawaragumi!!?"

"Sandaime! Your judgement!"

"Sandaime!"

Ryuji is staring down at Tsukasa.

Tsukasa: "..."

"...Sandaime...?" {It seems like the 2 of them are in their own world?}

Ryuji, blushing and covering his face: {She... She looks good...}

Tsukasa is looking down and toying with the wig: {I guess I look weird~~ It's like I'm a cross dresser---... How embarrassing...} She looks down.

Narration by Tsukasa: {---Kuryugumi's clan, Odawaragumi was ordered to disband. However, Odawaragumi's head, Odawara Tokisato is forbidden to leave Kuryugumi--- This means that Mom, Dad,}

Ryuji: "I won't be so kind to kill you--- Since you killed Tsukasa's parents as well. I'll make you live a life so hard that you'll wish you were dead. I'm looking forward to this. So hurry up and be discharged." He laughs an evil laugh.

Ryuji is standing with his arms crossed beside Odawara's hospital bed.

Tsukasa is at his side. {You call that a laugh.........}

Odawara is cowering in the hospital bed crying in fear. He's also wrapped up in bandages so he looks like a mummy.

Tsukasa: {This means that Odawara will make up for what he did for the rest of his life------... according to Ryuji------...}

Outside the hospital.

Tsukasa: "---You know, you really show no expression on your face..."

Ryuji: "......"

Tsukasa: "I mean I know you're not supposed to but..."

Ryuji "...I've been watching you since we were little---..."

Tsukasa: "He?"

Ryuji: "You expression changed all the time and you always attracted friends like flypaper attracts flies."

Tsukasa, a little ticked off: {Well if you're going to say that then,} "...I was watching you since we were gakis too."

Ryuji starts.

Tsukasa: "You were always poking at your lunch by yourself and you always had this dark look on your face. The lonely face you had made me wonder if you had ever experienced something fun in your life... I meant to talk to you often but... because of my parents... I couldn't------..."

Ryuji: "------..." {...I've always yearned------...}

Tsukasa: "...Ryuji..."

Ryuji: {for the longest time---...}

Tsukasa: "When you're with me, they say that you actually look your age------..."

Ryuji: {to smile like you------...} "...Hmm..." {---That's why I couldn't leave you alone that time 3 years ago------...} He recalls looking down from a bridge and seeing Tsukasa struggling to stay afloat.

Back at Ryuji's place.

Her brothers are trying to look cute.

Tsukasa is holding a bill for 800 000 yen. [Think of 1 yen as roughly 1 cent]

Tsukasa: "W! What the hell is this!!? OOOOO!?"

Her bros shrink in size as she yells.

Ryuji, expressionless as usual: "That the amount the ate and drank at my resort while you were fighting for your life."

Tsukasa, banging the floor with her hands, sending her shrunken brothers flying through the air: "You bastards---! Where the heck did you stash all of this in one day---! And while you were saying that it was yakuza food---!"

Ryuji: "I'll have you pay back this money."

Tsukasa: "W!?" {You heartless!} "Where do you think I'm going to get this kind of money!? You know I'm totally broke------!!?" {Ogre! Devil! You heartless monster---!} She shows tears.

Ryuji: "...If you have none then pay with your body."

Kamo-san, Tsukasa and her bros look surprised.

Tsukasa: "Okay fine! I'll take the job as bodyguard---!!"

Bros: {Oh, that's what he meant.}

Ryuji: {Oh. That's how she took it.}

Kamo-san: {...Oh I get it. Sandaime just wants to have her around...}
