Makimachi
Misao is the self proclaimed leader of the Oni group. She's very
feisty and her undying reverence and admiration for Aoshi-sama is
unbelievable! Although her childish antics could be irritating at
times, her skill and her determination is something to be beheld.
Shinomori
Aoshi is the TRUE (hehe) okashira (leader) of the Oni group. He
is very strong and skilled in kempo and in the kodachi. The
things that make me remember him is his unusually long western
coat (did Meiji Japan have that style of coat??) and his
difficulty in stretching his smiling muscles. But beneath all
these, you have to admit he is droolable.
Seijuro Hiko is Kenshin's sensei or teacher. Yes, this guy taught Kenshin all the moves (known as Hitten Mitsurugi Ryuu) he knows. He fondly (?) calls Kenshin his baka-deshi (stupid pupil) and like Aoshi, he is fond of wearing this unusually large and long drape....er...coat.
Everbody
calls him Okina but sometimes Misao calls him Grandpa. He was
once the leader of the Oni group and though he is old, he is
still strong and alert. He took care of Misao when she was only a
little girl and treats her like his own daughter. He also runs
the Aoiya, the Oni-gang's eatery/headquarters.
