Welcome to the next ch. For those of you who think this isn’t a good
fic cause I’m repeating a lot of the Doom Tree Series, here’s a totally
made up chapter for you, that isn’t a rewrite of any Doom Tree series
episode. Hope you enjoy it.

Sailor Scouts R - Ch. 8: A Day at the Beach
Later that night, Mina got to the temple, shortly after Mrs.
Winston left the hospital, and got a call from Ray, to meet the Scouts
at the temple. Following Serena’s tradition, Mina was the last to
show up, “Ok, Ray, what’s this meeting about?”
“First off, Mina your late. Second, I got a call from Mrs.
Tsukino earlier. She and the rest of Serena’s family are going to the
beach early tomorrow, and we’ve been invited to come along.”
Everybody got smiles on their faces, indicating they had no problem
with this, so Ray called the Tsukino house back and told Serena’s mom
they’d be there. “With the personal business aside. Did anyone get
anything new on our alien enemies responsible for all these cardiens?”
Amy spoke up, “I don’t have anything, but I got some
unpleasant news.” As soon as she had everyone’s attention, she looked
at Mina, “I’ve been doing some scans on Mina’s use of Sailor Moon’s
tiara over the past few battles, and I’m getting odd readings from it.”
Mina got a little worried, “What kind of odd readings?”
“I’m not sure yet Mina,” Amy explained, “You’d have to use it
again for me to get a more accurate reading,” After everyone else
added what they could to the meeting, which was not enough to take any
action against the aliens, the Scouts each went to their separate
homes.
The next morning, all of Serena’s friends arrived at the
Tsukino house just as they were loading the last of the beach chairs
into the van. Mrs. Tsukino noticed them first, “Oh, hello girls.
Ready to go?” The Scouts nodded their heads as they climbed in the
back seats. Amy, and Ray took the middle row seats, with Sammy in
between, and Lita and Mina took the very back seats. As soon as
everyone was buckled up, Mr. Tsukino drove out of the drive way and
started toward Tokyo Beach..
In Allen and Ann’s apartment, Our two favorite aliens were
hatching up there latest plan. Ann made the suggestion first, “If you
ask me the best way to get energy from these humans is to drain them
while they’re lazy. That way we get the most energy out of them, when
they don’t use it.”
“I tend to agree, Ann,” Allen said as he took out his stack of
cards, “Now all we need is the appropriate cardien.” Ann picked a
cardien and Allen played his flute. The card showed the picture of a
cardien made purely of sand, “Cardien Beach Head I summon you.” The
cardien came out and was ready to do Allen’s bidding, “Beach Head, go
to Tokyo Beach when it turns afternoon, and steel everyone’s energy.
As much of it as you can?”
The cardien said, “No problem, just let me at them..” With
that, the Cardien left.
Everybody was having a good time. Amy, was sitting under an
umbrella, Mina, Ray and Lita were in the water with Sammy, and Mr.,
and Mrs. Tsukino were sitting under umbrellas as well. Mrs. Tsukino
has been thinking about each of her daughters friends all day. She
noticed how close they all seemed, as if they were all sisters or
something like that. She was so far into her thoughts she almost
didn’t see the Cardien’s attack in time to get out of its way. The
Scouts noticed the cardien and grouped up with the Tsukinos, and tried
to make a run for it. People began screaming and running as the
cardien said the same thing every other cardien tends to say, “Give me
your energy.”
After draining several victims, the cardien turned toward the
Tsukinos and the Scouts. They all noticed this and began to run. The
Scouts were unable to transform in front of the Tsukinos until they
could find a way to hide. Unfortunately, the cardien had other plans.
It chased them back to the parking lot and into an alley way.
The cardien had them all cornered with no way out, and Mina
realized this. Much to the protest of the Tsukinos, Serena’s friends
got in front of them as Mina declared, “You want them? You got to go
through us first.”
“If you insist,” the cardien said as it began to stalk toward
them, thinking it had the upper hand.
“Girls, get back,” Mrs. Tsukino demanded with a tone of
urgency.
Mina, however, was thinking of a different course of action.
One she hoped she never had to command the rest of the Scouts to. She
turned to her teammates, and commanded, “SAILOR SCOUTS TRANSFORM
YOURSELVES!!” The Tsukinos didn’t know what Mina was babbling about
until all four shouted into the air.
“MERCURY POWER TRANSFORM”
“MARS POWER TRANSFORM”
“JUPITER POWER TRANSFORM”
“VENUS POWER TRANSFORM”
“SCOUT POWER!!!!!!”
To the shock of the Tsukinos, after a light show of water,
fire, lightning, and energy, instead of Serena’s friends stood the
Sailor Scouts ready to do battle. Sailor Mercury was the first to
speak up, “Heads up hair ball, or your going to get wet. I’m Sailor
Mercury, and on behalf of Mercury, I’ll punish you.”
Mars was next, “Your majorly toasted blonde. Sailor Mars is
my name, fire is my game. On behalf of Mars, I’ll punish you.”
“You want trouble pal your looking at it. Shooting lightning
is my game, I’m Sailor Jupiter, and I’ll punish you.”
“I was formerly known as Sailor V in London, but now I go by
my full name. The V is or victory, I’m Sailor Venus, and your going
out with the tide pal.” Sailor Mars was the first to attack.
“MARS FIRE IGNITE”
The cardien dodged her attack easily, before Jupiter and Mina
joined in.
“VENUS CRESCENT BEAM......”
“JUPITER THUNDER......”
“SHOWER”
“CRASH.”
The multiple crescent beams, each with a bit of Jupiter’s
lightning attack, charged at the cardien, but it dodged them all.
Mina had an idea, “Sailor Mars, trying using your prayer strips to
stop this thing.” But before Mars could reply, the cardien started
throwing sand by the ton at each Scout. They all took some hits but
managed to dodge the biggest portion of each attack. Mars got up and
attacked.
“I CALL APON THE POWER OF MARS........ FIREBALLS CHARGE”
Unfortunately, Ray’s attack missed also. Mercury tried her
attack.
“MERCURY ICE BUBBLES FREEZE”
Everything was coated in ice.......... except the cardien.
Mercury took out her computer and visor and began scanning the cardien,
”Guys, this cardien has sharp eye sight. That’s why it’s able to
dodge our attacks before it gets hit.”
Venus began to curse, “Got any idea’s how to fight this,
Mercury?”
“Just one. MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST,” Sailor Mercury’s fog
covered the area, making it impossible for the cardien to see where
the attacks would come from, and Mars attacked again.
“I CALL APON THE POWER OF MARS........ FIREBALLS CHARGE”
Sailor Mars’s prayer strip hit the cardien this time, and was
now immobile, “Sailor Venus, NOW!!!!” Mina took out the Moon tiara.
“MOON TIARA MAGIC”
The cardien screamed before it turned into a burnt out playing
card just as the fog disappeared. Once the cardien was gone, the
Scouts had to attend to one last problem...... The Tsukinos, who saw
the whole fight, start to finish. Mrs. Tsukino was the first to come
out of her shock, “You girls are the Sailor Scouts?” The Scouts
detransformed and nodded their heads. Ellen was just about over her
shock as her brain began to do the math. All the nights She saw
Serena climb out her window, Was always sleepy, and coming home late
for dinner on a few occasions. Ellen then asked, “Serena was a Scout
too, wasn’t she?”
The girls again nodded their heads again, “Despite that, we
are just as clueless as you are about what happened to Serena though,
or to be more accurate, Sailor Moon. All we can tell you is our last
moments with her. We were the last to see her alive.”
Mina spoke up, “I think we should continue this discussion
somewhere more private.” Everyone agreed and went to pack up the
stuff for the trip back to the Tsukino house.
Allen pounded a fist into the wall, “Beach Head failed. How
did the Scouts respond so fast to this cardien? It appeared miles
from the Juban district.”
“I don’t know Allen, but we definitely need to come up with a
better plan,” Ann said as the two began to make a new plan for saving
the Doom Tree.
The drive back to the Tsukino house was an eventful drive.
Sammy kept muttering about his sister being Sailor Moon, obviously
still in shock. Ken, was doing some babbling also, to say the least,
and Ellen listened intently to Mina contact someone named Artemis to
meet at the Tsukino house, and to have Luna ready for an explanation,
.
To say the Tsukinos were shocked at finding out that Artemis
was Mina’s cat, and that he and Luna could talk would be an
understatement. Once everyone got settled in the living room, Luna
began her tale, “Mrs. Tsukino....”
“Luna, please, call me Ellen,” Mrs. Tsukino felt more
comfortable with formalities out of the way.
“All right, Ellen. As I was about to say, The Sailor Scouts
date back a thousand years, to a kingdom that existed on the Moon.”
Luna went into details about the Silver Millennium, how it ended and
how she and Artemis found the Scouts. Each of the scouts added their
pieces of the story during the fight with Beryl and the Negaverse, and
then started going into detail about the final fight about almost 3
months ago. When they were done, Ellen still had one question left,
“So, what ever happened to Serena?”
Luna decided to try to answer that question, “Ellen, when I
reactivated the Scouts’, I also probed their minds for details on the
final fight, and I think it would be better if I showed you.” Luna
got up onto the coffee table and turned so she was facing away from
the Tsukinos. Luna took one look at the Scouts and said, “Just so you
girls now, I’m not a film projector, so don’t ask me to do this so you
can watch movies.” With that, Luna resumed her stance, and a beam of
light projected out of her crescent moon. It stopped half way across
the room, and looked like a big screen TV screen. The images on it
began to show Serena’s last stand with Beryl.

An Earthquake began as a huge black cacoon burst out of the
ice. It opened to reveal a large and laughing Beryl as another voice
said, “Better enjoy that laugh Beryl.” Queen Beryl turned to see
Sailor Moon approaching her as she continued, “It’s the last one
you’ll ever have. You’ll never rule this universe as long as I live.”
Beryl looked at Sailor Moon and said, “We better get this over
with then.”
“Lets do it,” Sailor Moon said as she stopped walking.
Beryl began to collect energy in her hands and said, “You
don’t know what your dealing with. Good bye Sailor Moon.
RRRRAAAAAHHHHHH.” With that, Beryl sent her power at Sailor Moon. It
impacted with the area she was standing in and a tall ice sculpture
appeared in her place.
Just as Beryl believed Sailor Moon was dead, the top of the
Sculptor opened to look like an ice flower and Beryl say Princess
Serena as she said, “I will defeat you Beryl in the name of the Moon.”
The princess was holding the Crescent Moon Wand, with the Imperium
Silver Crystal on it.
Beryl just snorted, “You? Pitiful little Princess Serena?”
With that, Serena lifted the wand saying, “I hear you Luna.
I’m not afraid anymore.”
“YOU SHOULD BE, RRRRAAAHHHHHHH,” with that, Beryl sent another
energy attack.
Princess Serena began her attack also, “COSMIC MOON POWER.
FIGHT THIS EVIL” Both attacks hit each other. Princess Serena began
to loose the battle as Beryl’s attack got closer and closer to the
Moon Princess, “I will not let you win this one you witch. My friends
are counting on me.” Just then the spirits of the Sailor Scouts
appeared, demanding to let them help her put Beryl away, “I do need
all of you. Please help me.” With that each Scout put one hand on
the wand. Once they were in place, they all chanted.
“MERCURY POWER”
“MARS POWER”
“JUPITER POWER”
“VENUS POWER”
“COSMIC MOON POWER IGNITE,” Serena shouted as each scout and
herself poured every ounce of power they could into the attack.
Soon the attack began collecting energy from even Queen Beryl’s
attack, “What is this?” The energy collected into a pink ball and
Princess Serena let it loose. It grew in size, and by the time it
reached Beryl, it was as big as she was, before it started turning her
into a lot of moon dust. Beryl had enough time to shout,
“NNNNNNOOOOOOOOO.” as soon as Beryl was destroyed, the image went
black.

Luna terminated the beam. There wasn’t an eye in the room that
wasn’t shedding tears for the loss of their friend/daughter/sister.
Amy managed to regain some control, “And that’s pretty much all we
know. We don’t even know how we came back to life cause we died hours
before that final battle.” It was many hours later, and many tears
sheaded, before the Scouts left that night. Before they left, they
gave each of the Tsukinos a hug, and told them that if anything new
came up about Serena, anything at all, they’d contact them.
That night, Mina went to Amy’s house to spend the night. Well,
that’s what she told her parents, but Amy had news to share with her.
As soon as Mina got there she asked, “Ok, Amy. What did you want?”
“I found out more about the odd readings I was getting. It’s
bad,” Amy Declared.
“How bad,” Mina asked.
“OK, let me try to explain this. Your Venus powers aren’t
what’s powering the Tiara enough to dust the cardiens. Your powers
activate it, yes, but the rest of the power comes from.......... the
best way to describe it is a battery that’s in the Tiara. It currently
has a charge in it left over from when Serena was using it. Remember
when she powered it when one of the Doom and Gloom girls got you?”
Mina shivered at that. She didn’t like the feeling she got
when she fired her crescent beam at point blank range, “ Yes what of
it?”
“Well that’s when Serena put the charge, so to speak, in the
Tiara. This charge is being drained each time you use it. Once the
charge is used up, you won’t be able to have enough power to do
serious damage to a cardien with it. I estimate you’ll be able to use
it anywhere from 5 to 15 more times before the charge is gone. That’s
the best estimate I can give you.”
Mina was in a panic, “We’re in trouble.”
Amy nodded, “Unless we beat these aliens with their cardiens,
and soon, yes.” With the business out of the way, the two tried to
hit the sack and get some sleep. Luckily it was a Friday night, cause
neither of them got much sleep that night.
