In the 'almost real life' style of her 'NERV-UNA' pieces, this latest offering by the prolific and talented Ms Bartram centres on a pair of anime studio employees who spend most of their time goofing off, getting drunk, lusting after a colleague, washing the company toilets and being terrorized by their director's children and their smart-ass manager. And these two salarymen (hence the title) of Micronax just happen to go by the names of Rokubungi Gendo and Fuyutsuki Kozo.

And then they come up with an anime series in which they can sneer at their superior, have another one killed, lord over the children and have their way with the ladies. Probably one of the best explanations of the entire underlying rationale of NGE. This amusing premise, together with the brisk pace, concise language and continuous gags, make this fic very entertaining indeed.

In fact, 'Two Salarymen' was so successful that, in response to demand, Ms Bartram is planning a sequel to explain some of the aspects of NGE not touched upon in this fic. Highly recommended.
