3 x 3 Eyes
(Sazan Eyes)

High school student by day, transvestite waitress by night (it's just a job), Yakumo already had enough in his life. When he accidentally hits a girl with his motorcycle on his way to work, he had no idea that he was about to go on overload. In an unfortunate incident, Pai's (the girl) "pet" kills Yakumo. In order to keep him from "crossing over," Pai takes his soul as her won, making him "one of the Void," the soulless ones who protect the Sanjiyan and never die until those who possess their soul dies. The Sanjiyan are a three-eyed race known for their longevity. Yakumo's father had been searching them in hopes of studying them, only to find that there is only one survivor: Pai. But Pai wants to be human and the Professor promised to help fulfill her wish with the help of the Ningen Nozo (the "Statue of Humanity"). Unfortunately, he dies before they can even get away from the mountains. But before he dies, he asks Pai to carry a letter to the son he abandoned long ago, asking him to carry on the mission. Now an immortal and an undead shouldn't have too much difficulty completing their taks since the Statue is in the hands of his father's associates. Problem is, Pai's not the only one who wants the Statue. Another faction from the "dark side" wants it, too. And so their search takes them through China and Japan as the statue always manages to slip from their grasp.

What do I think? This show is actually pretty interesting.. It comes with a lot of dark tones and graphic content within its style, so at most, viewers consider it a mediocre anime.

Number of episodes I've seen: 3 of 3 [Season 1], 3 of 3 [Season 2]
