Akachan to Boku Like any other 10-year-old, Takuya should be out playing with his friends, getting into mischief, and enjoying a carefree childhood. Instead, his days are consumed attending to his baby brother Minoru's needs, since their mother had died in a car crash and their father worked many hours and far away to support their livelihood. But as a 10-year-old, can he really handle all this reponsibility? He's still young after all, and yet he's forced to grow up and play "father" in no time at all..
What do I think? *sigh* We all wish Takuya and Minoru still had their mother. Takuya seems to still be very attached to her.. As is obvious, this is a more family-oriented story. Nope, no magic or mecha or love triangles. Just plain ordinary life. The artwork is cute and the tone is light. Of course, the substance of the movie being what it is (just life), I have no way of knowing where this is all headed. I know for a fact that there are 18 tankubons in total, and 18 tankubons about plain life is a lot..
