Please Save My Earth

Who knew that an eight-year-old kid could cause a high school student so much trouble? Alice has just moved into her new home and already life is hell because of the eight-year-old next door, Rin. He bullies her, yet tells his mom that he'd love her for his baby-sitter. The one time she retaliates, though, comes up with devastating results. Rin falls down from the 3rd floor apartment to be hospitalized, where he is awakened to a personality lying under the surface. His past self, Shion, who worked on the moon ages ago as surfaced to meet his friends, avenge wrongs committed, and return to his lover, Mokuren, on Earth. And not very far away, five other people are having "Moon dreams," as the second meeting will soon come to pass.

What do I think? It's a nice story about resolution. The characters have been developed thoroughly, though I've got a few gripes with some of them. For example, one of the main characters spends most of his screen time crying or trying to harm himself in some way, and it doesn't look as if he's learning anything from his experiences. The story often jumps back from present to past, but the pace is alright. There's still many things that remain a mystery, however, as in the complete purpose for reviewing Shion's past. A little bit more insight is included in the Movie, as it is Alice's summary of the events, as well as a glimpse of the future. The Movie, by the way, seems to me an attempt to tie in the OAV ending with that of the manga, which is just fine for me. :)

Number of episodes I've seen: 6 of 6, Movie, Music Videos
