FATE: CHAOS by LilAsia (lilasia@juno.com) Fate. She knew what it was. Predestination. Inevitability. A power unharnessed. She knew this was going to happen. She had known for a thousand years. <CUT> The light impacted someTHING, and spread against the darkness. Thinning out into infinity before it could no longer be seen by human eyes. The white wash settled once again into blackness with the pinpricks of starlight rebelliously refusing to yield their posts. Witnesses to the struggle. IT laughed heartily. Had they been within the atmosphere of a planet, the sound would have been as a booming noise, the sound waves bouncing against each other because of the pressure. As it was, without atmosphere, the waves rippled into infinity. Sound echoed faintly as they bounced against the distant rocks and dust floating in space. ITs amusement was unappreciated, despised. IT was amused at the little being that dared to defy him. So small, really. Not even the size of a planet. There had been one much like this one eons ago, who had tried to put him away. She had succeeded, but only for a mere ten thousand years. This one was as nothing. The other had claimed the power of her galaxy. This one claimed only the power of a dead satellite. IT was amused.
