I first started reading fanfics on... okay, okay! The first fanfics I ever read were Sailor Moon fanfics. At first I thought they were kinda silly, but there are actually some pretty good ones. I'm just going to link you over to their pages. One of these days, I'll try making some of my other fav stories, whose authors don't have a page, available on my page. Anywayz, I started reading Ranma fanfic about half a year ago (mid-1998), and I've found that many have actually excelled over Sailor Moon FanFic. And I never even saw the show until half a year's worth of FanFic! Sailor Moon stories tend to be romantic, although some are adventurous. The adventure ones tend to be epic adventures, which have hooked me to searching for good long stories. Ranma ½ stories tend to be more on adventure, and my favorite ones are epic stories. ^_^ Anywayz, I'll hand you over to the authors!

Crystal Heart - Crystal writes the best "What If?" stories. They're really, really good. Masquerade, Guarding Heart, For Love or Money, Eternally Yours, etc...

Chris Davies
Chris Davies writes some of the best fanfic out there. He has fics for about 8 or so different anime series. Then he mushes them all together in the BIGGEST crossover anywhere: Together Again combines about 20 or so different anime series in an adventure. Of course, with that many anime series, 3 or 4 take the spotlight. Davies was actually the author that got me really interested in Ranma fics. Eric den Biesen
Guardians of the Star links the Sailor Moon Universe to another, which have their own Sailor Scouts and introduces the scouts to the Dragonkin and elves who were allies of the Silver Millenium. Tales of the Moon Kingdom is a series of side stories.

The Eternal Lost Lurker
Suiseiki is a story which tells of events immediately before, during, and following the royal wedding. They rise to the throne once their vows were given, and the Crystal Palace appears out of nowhere. The people of Japan are asking, "What's going on?" As for other stories, I don't know why Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon Plus was discontinued... It was off to a good start...

Lady M. Harris
Her best story, I think, is Midnight Morning Glory... little warning: her stories are pretty explicit. However, unlike some of the other "explicit" writers out there, her stories actually have substantial plot.

Douglas Helm
Douglas Helm's Tales of Younger Senshi are really good. Set in Crystal Tokyo, the Younger Senshi go through trials to finally prove themselves. Some of their trials, though, have led to an alteration in the timeline. These alterations are not shrugged off... He actually works with them... quite well, if I might say. So far, there's a series for Youngers Jupiter, Venus, and Earth.

Jendra
Universal... Serena gets out of action after conflict with the scouts. Darien goes to the US. All are shocked when Serena seems to have a boyfriend, not knowing he's really twin Travis.

This is actually my story... Now and Forever, though now that I think about it, it might be misnamed. Oh, well. I tried my hand at it. Tell me what yah think!

Angus MacSpon
Allen Gainsford, aka Angus MacSpon, writes Sailor Moon and Ranma ½ fic. My favorite: Sailor Moon 4200: It's the year 4200 and happily ever after didn't last as long as it should. Crystal Tokyo has fallen, and now word of the Sailor Senshi re-appearing in Tokyo comes. How do the people react?

Donny's Anime Fanfic Archive - Donny Cheng
Of Cheng's stories, my favorite is his current on-going fic, Another Time, Same Place. Ranma wishes for everybody's happiness. His wish costs him 20 years, however. He reappears 20 years later with Happosai. Everybody's married, has kids, etc. Ranma finds his prowess is naught but child's play. Now he's engaged to a few predecessors. Oh, well. The situations are the same, albeit he's weaker and he's way behind his friends.

Ranma ½ - Waters Under Earth - Alan Harnum
Let me just say, that this is the longest *mini* series I've ever read. And it is EXCELLENT! Great fanfic. And so, without watching a single Ranma episode, it's become one of my favorites. ^_^ A great disaster is coming. Cologne "spirits" Ranma away... publicly. The Joketsuzoku and the Phoenix Clan become centers of chaos.

Todd Hill
Todd Hill wrote Careful Destiny. Ranma wishes that he's never had the curse and gets transported to an alternate universe where he has a sister and a bad reputation.

KaraOhKi
KaraOhKi has good Ranma-Akane fics, mainly Breaking Free and A Change of Scene. In Breaking Free, Ranma and Akane try to have a relationship to their own liking, not necessarily to their fathers'. A Change of Scene is exactly that. Ranma and Akane go to college... Guess who follows.

The Jade Gates - Joseph Kohles
Things don't always go the way they're supposed to. The series starts off with Ranma and Akane going through a very tumultuous time... um, make that for the whole series. Reading the first part is ESSENTIAL. Mark that.

Modern Dynasty - Jim Lazar
Modern Dynasty. A writer meets the Tendo Matriarch (Akane) to get from her the story that brings the Tendo's to power.

The Shadow Chronicles - Mark McKinnon
Mark McKinnon's Ranma 1/2 FanFic page. Disaster comes when a Ranma from an alternate universe arrives, bringing with him a great dark. The story just starts off from there. It's the first of, so far, four continuous plots.

Hearts of Ice - Krista Perry
If you have never read Krista Perry's Hearts of Ice, you must be a very sad soul indeed. Full of romance, action, adventure, mythology, and pretty much whatever else you can think of.

A Lesson in Love is a Ranma-Akane love story. It's planned and told pretty well... Although I think Ranma and Akane are a bit harsh with Ukyou and Ryouga in the story.

Trans-Pacific Fanfiction
Alan Harnum's Waters Under Earth has moved to this page. He's probably their best writer. *s* Just an opinion, of course. Other fics on this page are also of high quality. One example being Mike Loader's Bliss, where Ranma is "Akane." Kunou is "Ukyou." They are stranded on a destructive island without their memories. Try imagining Lord of the Flies.

J.Austin and Bridget Wilde
This couple writes some damn good stories... I suggest reading um... all of them? How does that sound? I've only gone through a third, and they're pretty good! And they have real okonomiyaki recipes, too.
