Children of Evangelion

Shinji Ikari is a troubled 14-year-old boy. He is the third child and pilots unit 01.(the purple Eva) He decides to pilot the Eva because he wants to prove that he is useful to his father. Gendou Ikari, Shinji's father, abandoned him when he was very young. His mother also died when he was young. Shinji feels that no one likes him and that he is all alone in the world.

Rei Ayanami is a weird 14-year-old girl. She is the first child (isn't she special?) and pilots unit 00. She is very quite and very serious. She has a crush on Shinji's father, also known as her creator. All-in-all, she is a cool character but also very freaky....

Asuka Langely Sohryu is the type witha really big ego. She pilots unit 02 (the red one). Asuka likes getting attention from everyone. She also likes to compete with Rei and Shinji. Asuka is half German and half Japanese. She is also known to be the most popular girl at school, and she really likes that a lot. Oh yeah~ she has a crush on Kaji...

Kaworu Nagisa is the fifth child and pilots unit 02 after something happens to Asuka. He becomes really close to Shinji. (too close I think) They become the best of friends and Shinji trusts him a lot. He is a sensitive character and looks kind of like Rei. One thing is that they both have red eyes... anyways, he ends up to be someone bad. Even though it doesn't seem like it. He ends up being in only one episode (24) which is a bad thing.
