This 6" X 9" book has 104 semi-gloss colored pages, and basically is a verbal account of Ash as he works his way through the blue/red gameboy world of Pokemon.  The book has many screenshots from the game, as well as illustrations of Pokemon.  The illustrations are similar to the ones found on the trading cards.
 
 

This is the first book of a series of Pokemon stories based on the cartoon/anime aired in the United States.  This 90 page paperback (RL:3) covers the following stories in it (titles are from the TV show):  Pokemon, I Choose You;  Pokemon Emergency;   Electric Shock Showdown  (Lt. Surge & Raichu);  Goodbye Pikachu.  The book is illustrated with many black & white images from the show, and also has the Pokemon Theme Song  lyrics included.
