Appearance: He's quite a nice-looking cat, though his eyes aren't really very feline. In human form, he's also attractive. Note that the cat version sounds much older than he really is. Edgar is a large tiger-like cat. He's six feet tall, sky blue with a white underside. Naturally, his shape shifting powers allow him to assume virtually any form. Edgar is a blue-furred, tiger-like creature with a striped blue mane the runs along the back of his head and neck. He has a long tail tipped with a glowing tuft of fur, thick paws and a lean build. His body is marked all over with whip-marks. He's also been through tons of fighting, both against human-like critters and non-humans. About the only place on his body that isn't scarred to hell is his face and head. In Human appearance, Edgar Bellmont is almost 6 feet tall and rail-thin, with a creased face, ice-green eyes and dark brown hair that gets increasingly gray over the course of the years. He speaks quietly, with a cultured accent. While he was a King and Sheffield's bartender, Edgar played up the role of the scholar, wearing round spectacles and dressing in nice tweed suits (with elbow patches) and vests. After this he became much more prone to dress casually. Edgar is a handsome man in his late fifties. He has long blond hair tied back into a ponytail. He usually wears the ornate, elaborate ceremonial armor of his kingdom to battle.

Smarts: Very bright for a sixty-year-old (or so, in human terms), and acts as the brains of the UGoI-ESF when Rahan isn't around. Does seem to have a problem with memory gaps, which leads to embarrassing moments every so often.

Cooking: No idea. Probably can run a microwave.

Fighting Skills: Okay. Often provides a needed distraction so others can get their act together, but rarely plays frontline warrior. Edgar was Hannah's weapons trainer, and is especially skilled in the art of Fencing. With a sword in hand, Edgar can slay monsters with the best of them. Unfortunately, swords are a lot harder to conceal than stakes, and barehanded, Edgar isn't that much tougher than Kyla.

Special Abilities: Edgar is best used as the team's general occult scholar, able to translate several obscure languages and possessed of both extensive training and a vast library of reference materials on monsters, Angel/Demon lore, and useful spells. Initially, Edgar (unlike Kyla) doesn't have any innate magical abilities, but his occult knowledge is such that he can often find just the spell he needs for a given purpose by consulting his books, and can cast it with a fair chance of success. Likewise, most of the spells are ancient formulae that require extra time, expendable foci and other ritual requirements in addition to the spellcasting itself. (Edgarus would be built along similar lines as Edgar but would be much more malicious in his use of magic.) In any event, Edgar never used magic as much as Kyla -- either because he just wasn't as powerful as Kyla, or because, unlike Kyla, he'd learned the virtue of restraint.

One other trait of Edgar that has often been helpful to the UGoI-ESF is his extensive number of contacts, mostly in the academic community back home in his kingdom, but also including some strange characters from his past. None of these are high, since Edgar could never rely on his connections that often -- yet it was often surprising to discover which ones he had. Edgar is a highly skilled inventor and weaponsmith. His main strength is the variety of useful yet unusual weapons he carries with him. Edgar uses an unusual weapon consisting of a pair of sharpened metal blades attached to the back of his neck. He attacks by leaping at the opponent and flipping forwards, raking them with the blades as he does. He can also summon his internal strength, generating a field around him long enough to rush straight through his enemy. As with Joesph, Edgar can shape shift into virtually anything. The major difference, however, is that Edgar can stay shifted for an indefinite about of time.

Economics: Cats don't make much money, even show cats. You're going to have to be the official wage earner.
