Merne is a member of the Demon Council. He has psychic skills given to him by his sire, but he relies on his bow and arrows to protect him. He's strong willed and protects those he holds close. Merne admires Undume because they share a commonality: they are both Xanadus. From this admiration he has formed a secret love for her, but because she loves Rassyu he won't let his feelings out. Due to his young abandonment, Merne is serious about his relationship with others and holds those trustworthy and truthful close. The bonds he builds with his team are unbreakable, but they may be his downfall and greatest weakness.

The Demon Council told him that they found him, abandoned, near one of their gates in the human realm, and since then he was raised by them. When he was 10 he was made into a Xanadu by his mentor and caretaker, and studied under him until his early death. At the age of 16 his mentor went to battle and never came back. The Demon Council told Merne an Angel killed him, but Merne doubts their words. He'll never let them know, though. Merne replaced his master in the council, becoming a Knight. Because of his blind left eye (with him since birth) his psychic strength is above par. The Demon Council thus placed Merne under the head Seer as an apprentice.
