Hey everyone! Welcome to my new story! It's loosely
based on a certain movie I watched and if you know
by the end of this story what it is then bravo to
you! Only Meriellen5 know but don't asked her, she
WON'T tell. It's one of my favorite because it's
basically one of the movies that really cracked me
up and made me cry in just a hour! Okay anyways to
Meriellen5 and Midnight2050, I bow to you both in
gratitude and give you both my love! To Venus, much
props to you and thank you for all the encouragement!

Here is my disclaimer: I don't own Sailormoon.

PG-13

Fate exists but it can only take you so far,
Because once you're there
It's up to you to make it happen.
		- Can't Hardly Wait

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart;
It was not my lips you kissed,
But my soul...
            - Judy Garland

All our young lives we search for someone to love.
Someone who makes us complete.
We choose partners and change partners.
We dance to a song of heartbreak
And hope all of the while,
That somewhere, somehow,
There is someone perfect
who might be searching for us.

The Joy (Prologue)

At twenty-four Mamoru Chiba found himself very content. He had a
great job, a nice place in the middle of Tokyo and not to mention
a VERY beautiful girlfriend. Her name was Usagi Tsukino, the light
of life, the apple of his eye and the sweetest person he had ever
met. They had first been introduced when she was a mere fourteen
and they had been introduced by not a person but a piece of paper.
Actually a test on which she had scored a 30 on and it seemed that
fate had put it together when the test landed smack dab on his head.

It was clear to him that he was in love with her the moment her
turquoise eyes met his. From there they fought but an attraction
had grown between them and when they first kissed...WHOA....there
was heat. Now they were living together in his apartment looking
over the city. He worked as an intern doctor in Tokyo General
Hospital and she was working as teacher in a small preschool.
Pulling up in front of the school and in his little cherry red
sportcar he hopped out in a joyous mood. It had been a long time
since he was ever this happy. When he was younger, a car accident
rendered him with no parents and no memories of the life he had.
He had forgotten his childhood and become a grownup way too soon.
It had been Usagi who had brought his childhood back with her
innocence and beautiful vitality. Walking into the school, he
stopped at a door and looked into the window.

There she was.

Usagi stood only inches away as she sat in a chair with a group of
children gathered on the floor singing a song. She was apparently
doing a song which required a lot of hand movements and most of the
kids couldn't get it. Jokingly he followed them in the window, when
their eyes met Usagi's face melted into a smile and she pointed at
him. The kids turned to see the handsome young man playing along with
them and burst into a fit of giggles. How sweet his Usagi looked. Her
hair in her usual "Odangos" and her eyes lit with enchantment. Her
movements were lithe and fair. Dismissing the children to their
parents she ran out the door and into his arms.

"Mamo-chan", She said as she hugged him. "I've missed you!" There
was something different about her. He couldn't put his foot on it...

"So where would you like me to take you?", He asked her as they sat
down in the car. For about a month now whenever he came to the school
Usagi was always starving and it would be the weirdest things. Pizza
with jellybeans and gummi worms in her mash potatoes. "What are you up
for now?"

"Tortilla chips with orange juice to dunk them in", She replied and
her face went serious. "Mamo-chan you like kids right?" Now someone
would think Mamoru was an idiot if he didn't know what was going on
but you can't blame a guy for being blind to things like this.

"Sure I like them", He replied as they drove away from the school.
Now WHY would she ask a question like that? Her face brightened into
a smile.

"Well...okay! Cause you see...well I think I'm pregnant", She said
looking down.

"WHAT?!", Mamoru suddenly yelled. "W-W-What are you talking about?
How did that happen?!"

"Oh my god Mamo-chan! You're a doctor for goodness sakes, if you
didn't know this I'd wonder how you got into medical school!", She
said to him. How could he be such a idiot and at this moment. This
important moment. Apparently he was stupid enough to not watch the
road. "MAMO-CHAN! WATCH OUT!" *CRASH* Yes they had just ran into a
stoplight. "Mamo-chan YOU IDIOT!" Now she was gonna yell at him for
messing the car up. "YOU COULD HAVE HURT THE BABY!" Oh yes that too.

"HOW COULD TELL ME YOU WERE PREGNANT WHILE I WAS DRIVING?!", He yelled
angrily at her as they got out of the car. A policeman had come to
take their information down but now watched with amusement.

"How could you be stupid enough to run the car into a STOPLIGHT?!",
She responded and suddenly burst into tears. Sitting on the sidewalk
she put her face in her hands. "Gomen Mamo-chan" He immediately felt
ashamed for yelling at her. How he hated to see her sad. Sitting next
to her he wrapped his arms around her.

"Sorry? For what?", He asked and she looked up at him with her teary
blue eyes.

"For ruining your life", She responded. With that response he held
her tighter.

"How could you ever say that?", He told her lovingly. "You have been
the bain of my existence and everything I've ever become is because
of you. So don't you EVER say that you've ruined my life" Their eyes
met and she kissed the side of his hand. "I love you Usagi Tsukino"

"I love you Mamoru Chiba", She responded and there lips met in a
passionate kiss. As they seperated he kissed her forehead.

"Usako, weren't we using something to prevent this kind of thing from
happening?", He asked her wearily.

"Well those things are never a 100% you know", She informed him as
they got up from the sidewalk.

"They should write that on the box somewhere", He said and put an arm
around her.

"They DO write that on the box Mamo-chan", She told him and laughed.

"Excuse me but we need your insurance company and telephone number",
The policeman who had been watching said. After getting the appropriate
information and congratulating the new parents the two decided to walk
back home after the car had been towed away.

"So Usako, you're SURE you're pregnant?", He asked her when suddenly
Usagi pushed him out of the way and ran to the nearest garbage to
throw up. She looked up at him, her face still pale.

"Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure", Usagi responded and walked over to him.
"Well at least we haven't told my father yet" He could just imagine
Kenji now...

Ah yes. The joy of fatherhood.
