The Glory Day review

This highly anticipated cd was somewhat of a disappointment to me. I
expected something similar to her first album--great r&b songs, but it
wasn't even close. This mini-album has a few gospel, Christmasy songs, and
the rest (with exception of the two "Key of Love" versions) were just
average songs. Misia fans should just wait until her next album (or not). :)

  1. Key of Love~Ai no Yukue--I liked this song. This song
reminds me of a Swing Out Sister-type of song. My only complaint
is I felt it should've ended earlier cause towards the ending, it
seemed to drag on and on.

  2. The Glory Day--A gospel song. It was not bad, but it
was too damn long (8 minutes).

  3. Melody--This song reminds me of a slower version "Never Gonna
Cry", but the difference is this song bored me. At least the verses
       sounded good.

  4. Into the Light--This song is similar to "Never Gonna Cry
(remix)" but it's not as good. Misia screams instead of sings during
the chorus. I only liked the verses.

  5. Into the Light (GOMI'S BEAUTY & BEAST MIX)--
Slightly better than the original cause it's interesting. There's a
guy preaching throughout the entire song that kept referring to
Misia as an angel (later as a diva) & asked her to tell us all about
"the light". The preacher guy is kind of annoying, but I listened to
the whole thing (10:32 minutes) to hear what he was gonna say next.
As for Misia's singing during the chorus parts, it was slightly
better cause the music covered up the screaming parts.

  6. The Glory Day (The Special Day Mix)--I liked this
version better than the original not only because it's shorter, but
because of the music & the beat. It's a good r&b song.

  7. Key of Love~Ai no Yukue~(Acoustic Crab Soul Mix)--
Although this song is only a few seconds shorter than the original,
I liked it better cause the great music made the time pass by faster.
The acoustic guitar was a nice addition to this song. I think that
this is probably the only song from this album (besides the original)
that I'd listen to over & over again.
