Sailor Amazonia

Name: Dura Materyo
Alias: Sailor Amazonia
Birthdate: May 27
Astrological Sign: Gemini
Age: 16
Strengths: Raw physical strength and conditioning, great empathy with others, generosity, honesty and resourceful thinking in the clutch.
Weaknesses: Self-conscious about size, gets highly emotional and easily stressed.
Goals: Find a way to stop growing, find a boyfriend somehow and one day marry and start a family.
Fears: That her mass will cripple or kill someone else.

Personality: Emotions run up and down constantly, and she's not good at hiding them. But once one gets to know her, she's quite nice and friendly. She's quite ready to express her affection to those whom she feels warmly to. Gets irritated with people who belittle others, especially over their size.

Normal Appearance: Over 7 feet tall, 235 lbs. Black, straight ribcage-length hair, brown eyes, coffee cream-colored skin. Amply buxom hourglass-curved body that isn't really fat, just very large. Likes to wear off-white button-down blouse, forest green hiking shorts, and hiking boots with white socks.
Senshi Appearance: Standard white gloves and shirt of the Senshi. Her gold tiara has an amber stone set in the middle. Her skirt is forest green, with earth brown stripes. Also wears an earth-brown sash tied in a bow in the back. Has black hiking boots.

Crystal Powers are based off of: Earth (Nature/Plants)
Henshin Phrase: Amazon Earth Power Make-up! She crouches, folds arms inward over torso, then smoothly straightens to standing position while streching out her arms to each side and moving them into a circle, finishing with hands over head. (A major complication from using her powers: Every time she reverts from civilian to Senshi and back, Dura grows one half-inch taller.)

Powers:
Amazon Growing Surge: She grows even larger, doubling her height, and increasing her mass, strength and stamina accordingly.
Amazon Stoneback: Her entire skin turns to living stone. Phenomenonly impervious to the elements, and highly resistant to many attacks. She can still move, but is greatly slowed.
Amazon Flying Boulder: A very large, heavy rock forms between her hands, and flies at her target like a cannonball
Weapons/Equipment:
Titan Pendant: Her transformation crystal. She uses it to turn into Sailor Amazonia, and it's also used to find magical items left behind by the Duke of Titan. (see Current History)
Titan Soil: A small pouch with an ever-replenishing supply of topsoil from Titan's farms and gardens. With a toss of this onto any living plant, she can make it grow, and move according to her wishes, from reaching stuff out of her grasp, to tying down someone she can't reach, to catching someone and breaking their fall.

Past History: Dura was a smallish Earth-born girl befriended by the visiting Duke of Saturn's moon Titan. When he took her to his homeworld to show it off, he found that a spore from space had burrowed into Titan's core and leeched away the planet's life energy. His subjects and almost all the vegetation were withered and dying. When the Duke and spelunked down to the core, they brought a keg of Halatian magic powder to blast the spore. But during the big fight with it, the spore grabbed the powderkeg and ate it. Right after that, Dura dropped a torch into the spore's maw, ignited the powder, and exploded the creature into millions of pieces. The blast flooded grand amounts of energy throughout Titan, Dura taking the brunt of it. Once topside, the Duke took Dura to his palace and she rested there to heal with the rest of Titan. Fortunately, she and the rest of that moom healed very quickly, and once able, she helped with gardening and farming there. As she did, she noticed somthing incredible: with the spore's magic saturating the soil, Titan's vegetation grew quickly to four times its original size. Bumper crops abounded everywhere. And the people grew larger, too, thanks to a steady diet of the enchanted food. Titan became a world of giants as well as the Moon Kingdom's breadbasket and fruit garden: the main food exporter to the other worlds. In honor of her service and heroism, the Duke, now ten feet tall, took his over-eight-foot heroine to see Queen Serenity about making Dura a Duchess in her court... and then the Dark Kingdom attacked shortly after. But three days before that, a time-warping warrior named Chronus sent the modern day Senshi's souls into their Silver Millenium counterparts. Thus, the Moon Court got warning of the Dark Kingdom's coming ambush. With that, the Duke sent word very speedily back to Titan to send help to the warriors of the next millenium. Thanks to arrangements with Haley's minister of commerce, and sleepless nights of planning with his help, the Duke arranged for Titan to send various magical items to arrive to Earth within a thousand years' time. The Titan Pendant was one of them.

Current History:
In the twentieth century Dura was reborn in the Japanese countryside on a farm. The labor pains left her mother, Yumiko, paralyzed from the waist down and in a wheelchair ever since. Dura's father, Sho, resents his daughter for this. Due to tough economic times, they had to sell the farm and move to Tokyo. Sho opened and manages a garden shop, and his wife works on the books. Dura takes care of the housekeeping. Things are very tense between her and her father, and though he never says it outright, he blames Dura's birth for crippling his wife and upending his life. He subtly gets on her case about losing weight. While Dura loves her father, she is estranged from him. She cares dotingly for her mother, who wishes she wouldn't fuss so much over her. In Azabu Juuban High School, she was very active in sports, but wasn't in it for the fun. She's trying to lose weight, and has been eating nothing, drinking only water, and working out like crazy. Also, she's been taking ipecac syrup lately to make herself vomit whenever she has to eat and can't avoid it (such as home economics class, dinner parties, or eating in a restaurant with her folks.) On her first day at school, she had her first run in with the Dark Kingdom, and the Benefactor bequeathed her first powers of the Growing Surge and Stoneback, and the Titan Soil. During her battles, she has befriended several Senshi and others, including Ureshii (Ahou-chan). She also stopped Gurio Umino (the Dark Bug) from committing suicide, and became one of his closer friends since his deserting the Dark Kingdom. In the battle with Chronus, she received her vision of the Duke of Titan, and remembered her role and past with the Moon Kingdom. But she nearly gave it all up after the Benefactor stripped her of her power (in The Blood Lust Curse). But fortunately, the Titan Pendant returned and restored her power, along with some new ones. While she's still upset about her steadily increasing height and mass, Dura takes solace in receiving the Duke's legacy, and is ready to help find more of it to aid the Senshi's fight.

Other: Dura is currently attending Juuban High School.
