Lady Gaia gazed at Bentrais with loving, but worried eyes.
"Dearest, you are never alone. You will always have me at your side.
Maybe it is best
for you to use the help of the Senshi. Their goal is very common
to
the
goal you have set," she said softly to him.
Minako blinked, looking at the price tag to the shirt she
held in
her
hand. *I know I need some new clothes, but at this price?* she
thought, hanging the shirt back up. All of the other girls in
the
store
carried around large shopping bags full of the over-priced
clothes, but Minako walked out empty handed. Avoiding a large
clique
from
her school coming her way, Minako continued through the mall.
Niwanochi Yuri knelt down in front of her main flower bed,
which was
in
her front yard. Taking her watering can in hand she began to
water her
roses. It was a nice day, perfect for gardening. Her cat
Kin came up
to
her rubbing against her knee. Yuri smiled and stroked her gently.
Tashande dodged people as he moved through the crowded
mall. His
wallet
was full from his recent paycheck and he really could use something
to
spend
it on. He sighed as he walked, his mind wandering. Suddenly he
smacked
straight into a young woman.
The Benefactor sat in his darkened domain. Turning
in his chair he
looked at the mirror as it came to life and started to show scenes
of different place of Tokyo. "I sense them. They are out
there," he
said
to himself.
Minako yelped as she fell back on her butt, almost knocking
another
person over. Looking up at the black haired man, she blushed
a deep
shade
of red and scrambled to her feet. "Gomen, I wasn't watching where
I
was
going...." she mumbled, looking down at the floor.
"My bad," Tashande said as he helped her up. He gave her
a pat on
the
shoulder and kept going.
Minako winced in embarrassment at the pat. *Way to lower
your social
status one notch lower...* she thought, quickly stalking off in the
other
direction, blocking out the laughing she heard behind her.
Bentaris glazed at Gaia, "What Senshi. Without the
Moon Princess
there
are no Senshi, they'll never be awakened leaving us alone to defend
this
planet."
Kagestu stepped out of the wedding shop with his sketch
pad in his
hand.
His new job was to make an ice sculpture of a dolphin riding on a wave.
He
decided to head to the park for some inspiration, sitting down on the
bench
he began to sketch some ideas.
Gaia lowered her eyes from Bentaris. "But the Benefactor
said he
was
going to try and revive the Senshi... maybe we should try and help
him," she
suggested.
The Benefactor suddenly stood out of his chair and walked
over to
the
viewing mirror. "I feel it," he said and the picture showed the
mall. "I can feel one in here. Where are you?"
Bentaris glanced at Gaia. "I am sorry beloved, you
may do as you
wish,
but I do not trust him. I won't help him do something that may
turn
against
and be a greater threat than our enemies."
Gaia shook her head. "No, if you think he is a threat,
I'll just
stay
here and see what happens." she said softly and turned from him
and headed for her chambers.
Ami parked her little car and got out, opening the back
door she
rummaged
through the mess back there and sighed. Pulling out her ballet
bag she
headed for the studio. She entered the studio and looked around
she
headed
back for the lockers to change. She emerged in a baby blue leotard
with a
short transparent-like skirt just because she was so conservative,
and
she
walked toward the floor to start a stretch.
Lady Gaia looked around her chambers and sighed.
"So much darkness.
Sometimes I yearn to be in the light again. But its too dangerous for
me
now," she thought aloud and sighed as she sat and gazed into her
viewing
globe, watching a park of happy children.
The Benefactor's mirror started to change scenes very fast
now as he
started to search for the Senshi that he needed. Using his ability
to
read
people's energy, he began his search. "Soon... very soon."
Ami walked out onto the floor her blue ballet slippers
laced around
her
calves. She started with some simple turns and then turned to
leaps
and
worked through her warm up. She continued to get more vigorous
with
her
work out and continued for three hours before she pulled on a pair
of
pants
and got in her car to drive home.
A man with long reddish hair smiled at Ami as she walked
to her car.
"Hi
there, I saw you dancing from one of the windows and I must say that
you are
extremely talented. I run a studio down town and would love for
you to
come
down and show my students some of what you know. Here's my card.
Call
me
any time," he said, turned and walked off. The card said, Maxfield
Stanton,
dance instructor at Midnight Dance Studios.
Minako trotted out of the mall, sighing. It had been
another lousy
day,
and now it was time to go home. *Can't get any worse....* she
thought,
flopping down tiredly onto the bus stop bench, waiting for her bus
back
to
her apartment.
Ami stopped and took the card from the man. "Well
thank you. I
think.
I may stop by sometime in the near future." She smiled her
thanks and blushed. *Wow what a hottie...* She got into
her car and
started the engine. *Me an extremely talented dancer? It
surely
sounds nice....* She smiled and continued home.
The Benefactor smiled as his mirror showed him four people.
"There
they
are. I feel powers from all of them. It is time," he said
and
smiled. Walking over to his desk he sat down then placing his
hands
together they started to glow and suddenly the four people, Yuri,
Kagetsu,
Ami, and Minako, disappeared from where they were.
Ami suddenly had the feeling she was no longer in her car
driving
she was
getting more of a feeling of floating through the air. *What
is going
on?!*
Yuri looked around, she wasn't anywhere she recognized.
She seemed
to
travel and she wasn't alone. "What's going on?" She asked them.
Kagetsu looked at the girl. "I have no idea," he replied.
Bentaris stared at his globe. "Flickering of energy,
as if beings
of
Earth are being transported to another realm."
Minako glanced around at the other people, recalling only
the blue
haired
girl. *She goes to Juuban,* she thought ideally, rather
surprised at the surroundings. "Errrr, me either. One minute
I'm at
the
mall and then next, poof, I'm here," Minako said quickly.
The Benefactor looked up at the four young people in front
of him. A
slow
smile came to his face as he got up. "Welcome to my chambers,
young
ones,"
he said. "I know you have many questions. And I know one
of them is
who I
am. But that is not important now. My name is the Benefactor
and I
have
chosen you because you hold a power that is needed," he explained.
As Ami hit the ground her whole body was jarred and her
head jerked
forward flipping her hair. She moaned and rubbed her back.
"I have
had
softer landings doing Capezio leaps in ballet class." She looked
up at
the
odd man in front of her. "Umm question, is this going to interfere
with my
dancing and school work; if so, lemme go now." She looked up
sternly
then
softening and shutting up to listen to what he had to say.
The Benefactor looked at Ami. "That is a question I can't
answer.
That
depends on our enemy, when they attack and when they move and I don't
know
when they do that," he explained. "But there is a reason I picked
you
four.
You all have powers that can help the Earth. Protect it
from the
Negaverse and a long time enemy of mine," he said. "I can't fight this
enemy. I can only give power to the people I feel have the power,"
explained
the Benefactor.
Kagetsu decided to ask a question next. "I'm all for protecting
the
earth
and all but how will we receive these powers?" he asked.
Ami sat and pondered, *If I accept, my dream of becoming
a
professional
dancer is shattered, and yet how can I refuse...* She
looked up at the person standing before them who had answered her
question,
"I will accept this responsibility and sacrifice my dreams to do so."
The Benefactor looked to Kagetsu. "I will you give
the means to do
so,"
he said and looked over to Ami. "You may not need to sacrifice
your
dreams.
Just because you are undertaking a new adventure doesn't mean
you
have to
let go of your dreams." With that said he opened both his hands
and
made 3
pens appear. He then looked over to Minako. "Do you need one?
Sailor
Venus?" he asked.
Ami shrugged. *Not possible, you cannot dance professionally
and be
a
super hero on the side. Oh well.* She looked up at the
Benefactor,
waiting
for instructions.
"I am for it as well, it makes sense. Ever since
I was little I've
been
able to help things grow. I now see it was for a purpose," Yuri
commented.
Minako shook her head, hesitantly pulling out a henshin
pen in her
pocket. She didn't want to believe it, but obviously this guy
knew
a lot more things then she already did. Sighing, she toyed with
her
henshin
pen. "I guess no use denying it anymore..."
Ami sighed as she watched Mina pulled out a small pen.
She looked
to the
Benefactor who was also holding pens.
The Benefactor threw out his arm and the pens went to their
rightful
person. "Take these magic devices and use them to save the
Earth. You are needed," he said and teleported them back to earth.
