Alternate RPG:Some Like it Hot

Darien "Dare" Chiba leaned back in his chair, planted his feet in the dent on the corner of his battered desk, and rolled his eyes as he made noises of agreement into the phone. He tapped his forehead for the amusement of a co-worker before pretending to strangle himself. The pysic giggled, clamping a hand over her mouth. Darien mocked bowed then returned to his conversation. "So how many heads did the pink-spotted yellow T-rex have again? Uh-huh, five.... Are you sure?"

Michiru wlaked down the street in an extremly short skirt and revealing top. She stopped at a pay phone, amde a few calls and kept going on her way. As she walked past an office building that was being work on by construction workers..all the work stoped and she was the center of attention as she walked by. "Oh baby oh baby oh baby!" one of the workers called out. The others hooted and howled at her. She stopped looked at them and blew a kiss. They went wild.

Darien cranned his neck to see exactly what the workers across the street were going on about. The vision that stood there looked extremely familiar to him.

Michiru continued to walk down the street. She felt someone watching her from above and looked up. She took off her sunglasses and smiled at the young man hanging out the window. She smiled, winked, readjusted her glasses adn continued walking.

Darien grinned a slow, wicked grin, nodding his head to himself. *Oh, yeah, that delicious stranger from a few days ago. I wonder if she remembered?* His grin widen. *Maybe she does. So what should I do to get her attention this time?* His gaze drifted across his desk and came to rest on the red roses decorating one corner admist the piles of reports and office memos. *Prefect.* The person on the other end sqawked into his ear, breaking his pleasent thoughts. With a disgusted frown, to the delight of the still watching pysic, Darien replied, "Well, actually we prefer that such a interesting creature be mailed to us. Is it possible for you to put it in a box and mail it special delivery?... Uh-uh, we don't send photographers. ... What was that?" He winched and jerk his head away from the phone, then hung up, hearing a dail tone. "One of these days, you're going to do that and get into trouble," the pysic pointed out. "No one has caught me yet," Darien retorted absently. He wrote a quick note, impaled it on a rose, and threw it out the window. His aim, as always, was prefect, the rose landing right at her feet.

Michiru stopped at the rose. "Well well...what have we here?" she wondered and picked up the rose and the note. "I would love to see you tonight. Meet me by the docks, I know a wonderful resturant. Later beautiful!" she said as she read the note outloud. "Oh..a mystery date." she cooed to herself and smiled.

Dare watched her grin then flopped back into his seat, a wicked look in his eyes as he made plans for the coming evening. The pysic frowned and threw a piece of paper at his head. Dare winched, rubbed his head and made as if to hit her. "What am I doing wrong now?" he asked her. "We had a date later today remember?" she responded. "I remembered, but.." "I know, I know," the pysic sighed. "You want me to take a rain check." Dare raised an eyebrow. "So you're ok with it?" The pysic looked down at the Tarot cards she had dealt for herself, and nodded. "These keep telling me that my Prince is hidden under the skin of a frog." Dare's eyes widen and he raised his hands in horror. "And you thought I'm a frog?!" he said incrediously. "ME?! 'The Sexiest Man in the Office' a frog?!" "Get over yourself; you're not that handsome." Dare had to laugh as he got up and snatched his coat off the back of his chair. "That's your opinion," he mock-growled then gave her a wink and a smile, weaved around the other desks and out the door. Soon, he was on his balcony watching the sunset. For a moment, he was thinking of someone else, but he quickly buried that thought in his secret heart.

Michiru drove up to the docks. She had gone home to change into a knock out short dress. She carried the rose with her as she went into the resturant. "I'm meeting someone here. Its a blind date." she told the hostess at the front counter. She lead Michiru to the bar where she ordered an colorful drink that matched her dress.

Dare changed from his jean and flannel outfit to something more dressy before going to the resturant. For some reason, he picked the outfit that he wore when he first saw her, the black pants & shimmering gray tranlucent shirt, but instead of his raincoat, he took the leather trench. He stopped one more time to pick up a dozen roses then went to the resturant. Upon entering, he immediately waved aside the hostess and made sure to get a good table. He handed all the roses save one to her to place on it, then stalked up behind Michiru, and brushed the rose's petals across the bare skin of her shoulder and neck.

Michiru giggled softly and smiled devilishly to herself as she slowly turned around. "Oh..its you again." she said surprised adn smiled. "So i take it you're paying me back for stealing that kiss." she said mischeiviously.

Darien chuckled and handed her the rose. "Not just for a stolen kiss, beautiful," he said, just as mischievious. "But also for stealing into my waking moments," he kissed her lightly on the forehead, "and into my dreams," another kiss, this time on her nose, "and all that time in between." A third kiss on the lips before pulling away, ordering a scocth and soda before escorting her to their table. He helped her into a chair than sat down across from her, smiling wickedly. "I suppose before we go any further, I should at least know your name.. unless you want me to call you beautiful all night."

Michiru blushed slightly. "Well, I didn't know I had made that much of an impression on you. My name is Michiru." she said in a husky voice. "And who is the dashing young man who has me captive for the evning." she asked with a devillish smile.

"Darien Chiba at your service," Darien replied with a slight bow. His voice got low and husky as he added, "And I hope to have you captive for more than just a single evening."

Michiru smiled. She was enjoying this. "Oh, well, we'll see about how long you hold me captive. I normally don't like to be restrained." she said and smiled.

Darien laughed softly. "Who said anything about restaints? Though a lot could be said about a beautiful woman tied naked onto a bed.. or are you talking about a different kind of restraint?" he said, eyes glittering wickedly.

Michiru sat back and smiled. "What kind of whore do you take me for, Mr. Chiba?" she demanded. "I'll have you know I refuse to sleep with someone on the first date, and I wasn't talking about that, but the restraints of a committed relationship."

Darien raised an eyebrow, his face suddenly serious. "I don't take you for a whore and I don't date women just to get laid. I don't force myself on anyone, and I value my space too so I avoid suficating relationships. And if anything I say offends you, then either tell me or just walk out." He smiled faintly. "It wouldn't be the first time nor the last."

Michiru sat there and thought about it for a moment. "Well, just know I'm only staying cause I have nothing else better to do." she said and smiled. "And besides, its been a while since I went out with a decent guy. So tell me, what else do you do, beside tossing roses out of windows to get dates?" she asked.

Darien relaxed a little and smiled. "So now I'm decent?" he said teasenly. "Anyways, I work at spreading misinformation about the city, and when I'm not working I bake, sing karoke, and lead the office's champanion dart team to victory every week. And when I'm not doing all of that I flirt with pretty women. What do you do with you time, beautiful?"

Michiru smiled in an evil sense. "Oh the normal stuff. Drugs, sex and drinking till dawn." she said and laughed. "But seriously, I'm a student for the time being. My parents won't let me get a job, which is fine by me. They want me to study hard so I can get into a good college. But personally I would rather live life instead of being stuck in a smelly old library." she said with a sigh.

Darien shook his head a little, and said, "Well, well, well, who would of thought that you were just a school girl?" He chuckled at that and smiled wickedly. "All that studying must leave so little time for the joys of life, like sex and drugs. But seriously, college isn't too bad, if you can handle the classes that cut into the parties that go on year round. I don't think I had ever been stuck in a smelly old library for longer than a few minutes, except when finals came around."

Michiru laughed. "Oh dear of course not. not someone as handsome as you. And I must say I bet you have the perfect tan line." she said and smiled. "So what is the night life like for you?" she asked.

Darien gave her a puzzled look, ruined slightly by the grin tugging at the corners of hie mouth. "Tan line, what's that?" he replied. "I like to swim nude. As for my night life, I have lots of that. Mostly cute women, exciting parties and," *nightmares,* a traitorous voice in the back his mind filled in. "all kinds of stuff that ain't in the guide for healthy living."

"You kow, Mr. Chiba. you and I have much in common. I'm starting to understand why you threw that rose at me today. And I'm glad." she said with a smile.

Darien reached over and touched her cheek, letting the fingers slowly trail down to her lips. "So am I," he replied. "I am getting tired of trying to conform to other's ideal dates. It would be nice to just be myself with someone for a change."

Michiru blushed as her eyes followed his finger to her lips. She looked back a him, speechless to the situation. *I..I feel like...a virgin again. All nervous and gitterly.* she thought.

Darien smiled gentlly, and in a soft voice said, "You're trembling. Do I make you nervous? I like to touch people, to hold them and be near them."

Michiru found her never again. "Me, neverous, I wouldn't say that." she said and smiled. "I just feel like I've known you from somewhere before, beside in dark alleyways. Something far away, like a dream?" she said and took his hand into hers and kissed the tips of the fingers.

Darien's eye darkened, and he replied slowly, "Could possibly be. I never rule out dreams as being echoes of past lives." He smiled suddenly in wicked thought, and gently tugged to try to free his hand from her grip. "Now, now," he teased. "You don't want to ruin your meal by skipping directly to the desert, now do you?"

Michiru smiled teasingly. "Who said I was hungry?" she asked and sat back, allowing Darien to take him hand back. "So tell me..what did you have in mind after dinner?" she asked her aqua eyes flashing dangerously int eh candlelight.

Darien shrugged, smiling slightly. "Whatever the mood strikes me on doing. I feel like being spontanious. What do you have in mind?"

Michiru smiled devilishly. "Hang-gliding." she said simply.

"Interesting," Darien replied with a smile. "And do you know where to get the equipment this time of night? Or are we talking about jumping off a cliff?" Underneath the table, he slipped a foot out of his shoe and ran it along the inside of her leg.

Michiru smiled. "I know where we can get the stuff. My father's basement." she replied. She pulled her foot out of her shoe and started playing with his feet under the table.

Darien tilted his head to one side. "And your father won't mind if we borrow it, right?" he asked, his foot jerking slightly when she hit a ticklish spot. He was ticklish all over, but there were few people that knew it. "So when do you want to go? Now?"

Michiru smiled, the light catching her eye. "why not. I'll need to change of course. Can't have you looking up my dress all night. this is our first date after all." she said with a smile.

Darien spread his hands out in front of him, trying to go for the innocent look. "Who me? I don't look up dresses unless I'm invited to do so." He smiled and stood up, walking over to her and holding out his hand. "Shall we go?"

Michiru smiled. "sure thing. You're not afraid of heights are you?" she asked with a giggle.

Darien smiled down into her eyes. "No, just afraid of hitting bottom."

Michiru smiled and tapped his face lightly. "DOn't worry, just don't look down." she said with a laugh. "ready to go?" she asked holding out her hand.

"And miss the spetacular veiw?" Darien said with a laugh. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." He waved the waitress over. She appeared with the roses he gave her earlier. Darien handed over some money to pay the bill and took back the roses, only to give them to Michiru. "I was going to spring them on you as a surprise while we were eating but since we're going to your place, we might as well take them now."

Michiru blushed. "They're beautiful...thank you." she said softly. *Nobody's ever given my roses before..this is so..romantic* she thought with a smile.

"They pale in comparison to your beauty," Darien whispered, giving her a gentle kiss on her forehead. He wrapped an arm around her waist and led the way outside. Once there, he looked down at her and smiled softly. "Do you want to ride in my car or do you have one of your own?"

"I took a taxi, just so I could ride with you, just in case." she said with a smile and a slight blush.

"Ah," was Darien's comment. He led the way to his car, held the door open for her, before climbing into the driver's seat. "Where to?" he asked, starting the engine.

Michiru smiled. "Nice car. I live ont he other side of town. Jsut drive in that direction, it will give us time to get to know each other." she said playfully.

"Oh?" Darien asked playfully, giving the stick shift a squeeze before pulling out into traffic. He smiled devilishly as he shifted the car into a faster speed. "In what way? Childhood fears, family stories, or deepest, darkest fantasies?"

Michiru smiled. "Well, lets see..childhood fears would include my parents approval, but now I don't care. And deepest fanties..well...we'll just wait till fantasy becomes reality. What I want to know is, where did you learn that great rose trick. I've only seen that once before." she said.

Darien frowned, his attention on the road. For several seconds hedidn't reply, then he shrugged and said, "Not sure. I just can. I'm pretty good at throwing anything and hitting just about any target I'm aiming for. Maybe I'm just a natural at it."

Michiru smiled, pleased with the answer. She twirled a rose between her fingers and let the petals play with her chin. "Well, since you work for the paper I take it you're not in school?" she asked.

Darien shook his head. "I was in college for a coupleof monthes, but I didn't really enjoy myself. Would you believe that most of the people I went to school with thought that I was just a piece of meat? They treated me like I didn't have the brains to become a doctor, even though I aced through most of my classes. That kind of attitude really soured the whole experience for me. At least the job I got now doesn't care what I look like, even though my looks do get me into places that others can't into."

Michiru smiled understandingly. "Yeah, I know the feeling. All my life guys have just been after one thing. It took a while to get use to it, but then I slowl changed and conformed to what they wanted and found enjoyment in it. Of course, I'm in complete control of the situation." she said.

Darien nodded slowly. "Of course you must have some control over something like that. You don't want to get something weird by letting the guys you're seeing get in control. Some of them are really sick with what they consider pleasure. But don't you find that by conforming to what they want that you've lost a chance at doing what you want? Maybe you would've found you prefect mate by now, or become good at something like music. I'm not saying that is was a wrong choice, I'm just saying that sometimes there are other choices."

Michiru stopped for a moment. "well, I always wanted to learn an insturment. Maybe I'll join the Geek Club.." she said with a giggle. "OR maybe I should settle down to only one guy." she said thoughtfully. "Oh..here's my house. I'll be right back." she said.

Darien pulled to a stop and let her out, his gaze lingering on her thoughtfully as she ran inside. Then with a sigh, he turned on the radio and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Lighting up, he thought about what she said, his mind going over his own choices and what he could be now. Somehow, that picture left a lot to be desired.

Michiru returned a few minutes later wearing skin tight black pants and a low cut black shirt. She smiled at Darien as she entered the car. "Got Daddy's keys, all his equipment is on top of the mountian. He said I have to be back by morning and that we're responsible to returning the equipment after we're done." she said.

"Alright then, just point the way," Darien replied, pulling back into traffic. He took another drag and looked at her out of the corner of his eyes. "You don't mind if I smoke, do you? It'sone of my few bad habits."

"Smoke all you want, just don't push that stuff on me. we all have our ways of dealing with our problems. If smoking' yours then more power to ya!" she said with a smile.

Darien chuckled and shook his head. "Nope, I don't see any reason to ruin your lungs as well as my own. I don't smoke that much except when I'm neverous or excited. And before you ask, my other bad habits are teasing, and getting into trouble."

Michiru laughed. "So what are you, nervous or excited?" she asked with a devilsh grin.

Darien grinned and gave her a wink. "Guess, and for the right one I'll give you something good."

Michiru thought for a moment. "Well, since we're going hang gliding I'm going to guess nervous. After all I'm sure its your first time." she said.

Darien titled his head to the side and smiledmischieviously. "Nope, guess again. This time it counts."

Michiru smiled. "Excited?" she asked in a breathy voice. She was definatly liking this one. he would be sticking around for a while.

Darien pulled to a stop and smiled. "Of course. A beautiful woman, a dark, starlit night and something dangerous. Diffinately something to be excited about."

Michiru smiled devillishly. "We're almost there." she said. "You can see the entire city from up here."

"The road ends here," Darien said with a smile. "So looks like we get to walk the rest of the way." He brushed some hair off her face and leaned in close. "Any rejections for a kiss?"

Michiru smiled slyly and kissed his nose. "You'll get more at the bottom of the mountain." she said and got out of the car. She readjusted her top to show just a bit more cleavage and then headed for the small shed in front of them. She unlocked it and started to pullout equipment.

Darien groaned dramatically and got out of the car to help her. "So what's all this stuff for anyways?" he asked, looking at all the straps and buckles. "And how do you sugest we do this?"

Michiru smiled. "first, you'll need to take off that jacket. Any loose clothing could get in the way." she said and then pulled of a harness. "And then you put this on like this." she said and started deminstrating how to get into the harness and to strap yourself to the glider.

"Okay," Darien replied, slipping the jacket off. He looked at the odds and ends of the harness and tried to copy her movements. "Like this?"

Michiru smiled. "Yeah, make sure that its nice and tight..wouldn't want you falling out when you're up in the air." she said checking his straps to make sure they were tight.

"Eep," Darien said, sucking his breath. "Not too tight, beautiful. You don't want to damage me too much before we get to know each other."

"Oh was that too tight. Here let me loosen that for you." she said and started adjusting the strapes on his tighs. She let her fingers do a bit of walking to teased him a bit before letting go. "there, is that better?" she asked with an innocent smile.

Darien took a deep breath, than another, trying to push his hormones into a corner until the timing was right. It didn't do him any good to look down at her, the low cut, skin tight shirt giving him tantilizing glimspes of her lovely breats. He swallowed hard and tried to think of something different. Now was not the time for those kind of thoughts. "Yeah," he said, his pale skin showing a slight flush. "That's much better."

Michiru smiled. "Good, don't need you loosing feeling on the way down." she said with a giggle. she then proceded to get into her gear. It didn't take long. "Alright, you ready?" she asked.

"Ready and waiting," he said with a grin. "Now what do we do?"

"Oh, now comes the easy part." she said pulling down her helmet and adjusting them mike inside. "We run and jump off the cliff." she said. "You want me to go first or do you want to?"

"Ladies first," Darien replied with a smile. He tapped his helmet once to make sure it was on secure and eyed the cliff.

Michiru smiled back. She then looked off the cliff at the city below. The wind whipped through her hair gently as she picked up her glider. "Here I go." she said and ran off the cliff. The wind picked her up and let her glide off the ground. She gave an excited hoaler into the mic as she looked below her. "Come on darien!" she cried.

Darien grinned and shook his head. Charging after her, he only had a few moments of panic before he was lifted into the air. "Right behind you beautiful," he said into the mike, giving the ground one look before concentrating on steering the glider.

Michiru laughed into the mike. "Good, I was starting to think that you chickened out on me. Then I'd have to climb all the way back up that mountian and beat you to a plup." she said and laughed again. "The city looks so peaceful from up here. Hard to imagen all the crime and stuff going on right now." she muttered.

"You wouldn't," Darien replied with a chuckle. "It would ruin any chance for a second date." Shaking his head, he dared a look down at the city. "It is, isn't it. Makes you think about what ifs, don't it?"

"The What if's?" she asked back. "What do you mean?"

"Nothing really," Darien replied, gliding close to her. "Just what if there was less crime and what life would be like. That sort of thing, really."

Michiru thought on that for a moment. *There would be no need for the Senshi and I could have fun anytime I wanted. That would be heavenly* she thought with a sigh. "If there was less crime I could stay out later because no damn curfew." she replied with a laugh.

Darien's smile was apparent in his voice. "As if that stops you from going out and having a good time. The streets would be safer to walk, but I don't think there was a time on this world when there wasn't any kind of crime."

Michiru smiled. "Oh I don't have to worry about my safety. I have strong men like you to protect me." she said and laughed.

"Is that all I am to you?" he teased with a pout. "A body guard? And here I was hoping to do more than just guard you.."

Michiru smiled and laughed. "Oh don't worry, you'll get paid very well." she replied. "There's our landing spot, think you can do it?" she asked pointing over to clearing.

Darien grinned to himself, enjoying himself very much with the verbal trust and parry. Squinting at the site, he nodded his head. "Yeah, I believe so," he replied. "Ladies first, though."

Michiru smiled and went down first. Her feet touched the Earth again and she laughed as she rolled to the ground. "Alright, lover boy. Your turn." she said as she stood up and moved out of the way.

Muttering under his breath to whoever Up There was listening, Darien came in for the landing. It went without a hitch and he ended up breathless next to her. "Wow, I actually did it," he gasped, tugging on the straps to take the glider off.

Michiru smiled and layed down on the ground, staring at the stars. "Darien...do you ever think about the future?" she asked in a dreamy voice. "I come here to think all the time. There aren't many roads to get here so nobody bothers me. I like looking at the sky and wondering what I'm suppose to do here. Sounds silly, doesn't it?" she asked.

"No, not really," Darien replied, settling down next to her. He turned to look at her, his head cupped in his hand. "A lot people wonder what they are doing on this planet and why should they care. Questioning is human nature, I like to think."

Michiru smiled. "Well then, I have a question for you?" she asked batting her eyes slightly.

"Ask away," Darien replied, grinning devilishly. "I might even answer you."

Michiru looked up at Darien with her aqua eyes and smiled gently. "Would you kiss me?' she asked conningly.

Taken back for a second, Darien looked at her then slowly grinned. "If you wish, beautiful," he said, leaning close. He cupped her face with one hand and kissed her gentlly, letting her set the pace.

Michiru wrapped her arms around Darien, pulling him closer to her. She let her hands wander all over his back and finally entangled into his hair.

Deepening the kiss, Darien's hands did their own exploring, tracing lightly along her curves before pulling her closer until there was no space between them. One hand resting on her hips, the other slid along her spine to tangle in her sea-green hair.

Michiru slipped her tounge between Darien's teeth, allowing her tounge to roam the inside of his mouth. This was normally when she figured out if the person was worhty to go out on a second date. If he could kiss well and take it further.

Taken slightly by surprise, Darien froze for a moment before answering her. Twining his tongue with hers for a moment, he then started exploring her mouth with demanding strokes.

*Aggresive, I like that* Michiru thought as she pulled Darien closer to her. She held him tightly in her arms are her hands roared his back, testing each muscle with her fingernails. She broke off the kiss and started leaving a trail of kisses down his neck and worked her way over to his earlobe where she gently nibbled.

Breaking away with a gasp, Darien looked at her with heavy-lidded blue eyes. Smiling a little, he ran his fingers lightly along her sides, watching the expressions chase across her features. "I think we can find a more comfortable spot then the wet grass at my place," he said, leaning close for a light touch of his lips on hers. "If you want to continue this, that is."

Michiru giggled softly. "Continue, yes, but lets make that our second date. I wouldn't want to think you took advantage of me." she said teasingly, deeping the kiss once again.
