Her hair clung to her face as she walked
into
her class, her
first day
of school and she was late getting to school
peroid,
arriving after
lunch,
and halfway into her class. Top off the fact
she
didn't have an
umbrella
with her and the rain that started to downpour
had
soaked clear
through
her
uniform and you could say she wasn't having a
very
nice day.
She walked solomely up to the teacher and
started to speak in
English,
until she remembered where she was and changed
to
her Japanese,
"Gomen for
my tardiness, sir. I'm new here, Jennifer
Satterlee."
From his seat in the far back corner
Jeremy
merely glanced up as
the
new
student arrived. She seemed oddly familiar to
him
and it didn't take
long
for him to recognize that the entire male
population
of the room was
glued
on her body and her drenched school uniform.
He simply turned back to his book he was
reading, *Poor girl,
what a
first day.*
(ooc--sorry I couldn't come up with anything
better.)
Minako watched the new girl apologize to
the
teacher, her pen
sticking
out of her mouth. She remembered those days when
she
was late for
almost
every single class, but she had never showed up
soaking wet. Shrugging
Minako
returned to doodling in her notebook, making a
mental
note to introduce
herself after class.
"What are you staring at, ecchi?" grinned
Jakurin, smacking the
back of
Blake's head. He twisted around in his seat and
smirked. "If you must
know, a chest. Something you don't have."
Jakurin Kitsune pounded her new found
Knight
into the desk with a
pan-dimensional rubber hammer, beet red. "I
don't
want to hear any
smack
talk about my bust in this game! Got it!?" she
hissed.
Blake Ketsumi's body twiched for a few
seconds.
"H-Hai..."
Jakurin: *glares at the author* "That goes for
you,
too!"
Author: *noting the size of the hammer*
"H-hai..."
All the fooling aside, Jakurin waved to the
new
girl, booting
Blake
onto the floor. "Hey, free seat!" she yelled,
grinning like a Cheshire
cat.
Michiru sat in class staring out the window.
Things
were bad..things were very bad. And she couldn't
take
much more of it. Stress showed in her eyes and
even
in her face as she had finally given up the
make-up
to
hide it. Nights were long and restless. And she
didn't have any answers to any questions floating
in
her mind.
Jennifer's didn't fail to notice the offered
seat, but instead
simply
sinked to one of the open seats in the back of
the
room, trying to
isolate
herself from everyone else she could, especially
considering the state
of
her uniform. She slid into the seat merely
opened
her book, allowing
the
teacher to continue his lesson.
Jeremy's gaze shifted up from his book, this
time
resting on
Michiru and
sighed silently to himself, *Wonder what's got
her
so
wound up
lately?*
Jakurin felt the cold shoulder as the new
girl
blew past. Rubbing
some
IcyHot on her numb body part (*ahem*), she tried
paying attention by
slouching in her chair and sticking pencils and
other
assorted objects
in
one ear and out the other.
Blake was comptemplating how in the heck to
get
Michiru to pose
for him
without letting Jakurin know. His sketch book
already had various
doodles
of Michiru in a jester's costme(something he had
grown to love), and
sighed
as he peeked at. Although Jaku-chan was cute and
sweet down under,...
ah
well. He'd have to grow a few feet, clean up his
make-up, and knock
off her
current boyfriend in order to really get her to
notice him aside from
fighting evil. His silly crush would have to
remain
it.
Jakurin booted Blake in the behind. He
yelped
and shouted,
"WHAT!?"
"The teacher called you up to the board,
doofus!" she shot back.
Some classmates giggled, as Blake blushed,
shuffling out of his
seat
and up to the board. Hs black-eyed stare quickly
shut them up... but
after
a few moments, he growled in frustration. The
question was too hard!
"I can't put it into words on a stupid
board!"
he said angrily,
shoving his hands into his pockets.
The teacher asked for a show of hands to
see
who could answer
the
question.
Dunican sat beside Minako and finally noticed the
new
girl that came
into
class late. He glanced to Minako and to the new
girl
and then watched
her
for a moment and then looked back to Minako
again.
*Even Minako or I
was
never this late. Of course when I started here I
was
late everyday,*
he
thought.
Dunican reached over and gave Minako one of his
notes
with a small
note at
the bottom. ~Maybe after school we can introduce
ourselves to the new
comer
and see if can help her adjust here.~ Read the
note.
Minako just nodded over to Dunican, grinning
as
she returned to her
doodle. Her little figure took the form as the
teacher
with dragon
characteristics about to bite off Blake's head. With
a
glance back at
Jennifer it suddenly dawned on her she had the same
last name as
Jeremy, who
was only a few seats away from her.
Michiru looked up at the clock. It just dragged on
and on. *damn I wish I was anywhere but
here...alright, take that back..I wish I was
anywhere
but here AND in battle.* she thought rubbing her arm
from the previous battle. It still stung, but not
much she could do about it now.
"Psssst, Michiru!" hissed Jakurin across the
aisles as Blake
shuffled
back to his seat. "Whatcha doing for lunch?
Blake's
taking me down a
nice
Chinese resteraunt."
"I am?!"
Jakurin grinned. "You should be able to
handle
it,
Mr.I'm-Loaded-For-Bear-Thanks-D.A.R.E."
Blake shook his head, but he had to grin.
Jakurin was as much
of a
moocher as he was, until he told her about Bob-o's
trust money. "Yare,
yare, chinese is fine," he said, waving his hand.
Michiru smiled slightly. "You too go have fun. I'm
really not that hungry right now." she said with a
sad
sigh.
"Since when are you not hungry?" asked
Jakurin,
but the school
bell
cut her off. Good thing, too; the teacher was about
to come over and
hand
her a detention for talking in class yet _again._
Jakurin hovered (not literally! ;] ) next to
Michiru's desk, as
Blake
wandered over. "Come on, think of all the pepper
chicken! We could
make a
go at it! Free chicken for everyone!" she yelled,
with a beaming
smile.
Blake slouched, embarrassed, but not worried.
He
knew he wasn't
as
cute as Dunican, and Jakurin could only scarf so
much.
Jennifer rose calmly from her seat and quickly
slipped out of the
classroom, angling her way quickly through the
crowds
of students
rushing
back in forth to get to the bathroom. She knew once
she got there she
could
hide at least until her clothes dried out some, at
least enough so that
she
wasn't afraid of being raped.
She moved quickly but as she started to slip
into
the safety of
the
restroom a large, rough hand gripped her shoulder
and
threw her against
a
locker. Her eyes quickly regained their focus as
she
saw a man,
standing at
her height staring at her, "So you like being a
little
tease, bitch?"
All Jennifer could do was shake her head no as
he
smiled crudly,
"We'll
see how well you like it."
"Or not," an even monotoned voice came from the
side. Jennifer's
eyes
darted quickly to see a man standing taller than her
in a school
uniform
with his eyes locked on the other boys. The boy was
missing his left
eye
and his face was a collage of scars running across
it.
He dark black
back
pack was flung over his shoulder casually, with a
black gloved left
hand
gripping it. His blue eye spoke only of confidence
he
must have felt.
Jennifer's assailant smirked and let her go,
instead his fist
flying at
the boy that had stepped to her defense.
Jeremy let the fist connect and his head tilted
back at the blow,
but
no blood was drawn. Instead Jeremy let his back
pack
drop to the
ground as
a fist connected with his stomach. When the next
blow
came though
Jeremy's
gloved hand launched at lightning speed and
precision,
perfected with
centuries of training, and grasped his assailant's
fist.
In one fluid motion his attacker was on his
back
in the middle of
the
floor and Jeremy's foot flew to the boy's neck as he
spoke in his ever
calm,
emotionless monotone, "It is one matter to mildly
give
new students a
hard
time and quite another to assault and threaten them.
See to it that
you
remember."
With that he brought his foot away from the
neck
just as he heard
the
principal approach from the side shaking his head,
"Playing hall
monitor
again I see Mr. Satterlee."
Jeremy merely shrugged and picked up his bag as
the principal
sighed,
"Come with me please."
As her savior walked by Jennifer spoke up,
"Gomen," and in return
only
recieve a slight nod. Then the realization hit her,
the principal had
just
called her savior Mr. Satterlee, the same last name
as
her and her
father.
Her eyes trailed the boy, *Could my father of
had
another child
without
my mother? I can't believe he'd do that, but this
is
kinda spooky all
the
same.*
(ooc--sorry for being so long, just felt like
typing)
(^^; Don't we all!!!)
"Whoa," said the Illusional Twins, watching
the
scene from the
classroom door.
"I feel bad for her," said Jakurin suddenly.
"Someone should
have
told her that you don't REALLY have to wear the
uniform."
"I dunno, Jaku. I think it looks fine on
her."
Jakurin turned around and smacked a censor
bar
to Blake's eyes.
"Ecchi," she said, pulling off the large wrap she
was
wearing.
Underneath,
her black sleeveless top showed off her bare white
arms, and her
platform
boots clicked as she made her way over to the girl.
Blake was trying
to
pull the bar off, crashing into a locker.
Jakurin winced as she looked at her friend,
then marched over.
"Here. Keep it until you're not as see-through,"
she
joked, placing it
around the girl's shoulders. "It'll cover most of
you," she noted,
glad
that the ends at least went over her backside.
"I'm Jakurin Kitsune," she said with a
grin,
offering her
hand.
"You're.... Jessica, Jessie? Jennie!!"
Michiru watched the conferntation and smiled. There
was hope for him after all. She approached Jarukin
and the new girl. "You alright there? The school
is
getting over run with gangs and such, making it hard
on us normal kids. Jeremy seems to take everyone
into
consideration and protects the little ones around
here. I'm Michiru Kaioh (msp?), Senior Class.
Welcome to hell."
" Please Michiru, lets not try to scare Jennifer
too much on her
first
day here," Minako said, batting the struggling Blake
out of the way to
make
it to the trio. " Hey, I'm Minako Aino," she said
cheerfully, smiling.
Dunican had watched from where Minako was before she
moved over to
Jennifer.
Following he looked at the others. He shook his head.
"My name is
Dunican
Kedakai," he said to Jennifer with a smile.
Jennifer glanced about the entire group, somewhat
flustered on the
fact
that they all knew her name. She turned blue eyes
towards the Jakurin,
"Thank you for the wrap. It's a pleasure to meet all
of you. And
Jakurin,
please don't call me Jennie."
Her mind was still on her mysterious savior
though, "If the
problem's so
out of control the administration can't handle it why
did the principal
cart
him off then. If does this on a regular basis and
with the way he
moves you
think they'd be grateful for his help in a silent sort
of way?"
Jeremy sat a position of attention in the chair
across from the
principal's desk, a chair he was well use to sitting
in. In a typical
weak
he'd visit it about a dozen times. The principal
pulled out the file
on
Jeremy which he kept in his desk drawer most of the
time and sighed at
the
thickness of it and pulled out yet another incident
report.
"You realize, Jeremy, that this is starting to
get slightly
annoying
seeing you so many times a week."
The young man merely nodded his head as the
principal continued,
"And
you do realize that if this continues I'll have to
expel you."
Jeremy gawked at the comment silently in his
mind, never breaking
his
cool exterior. Jeremy wasn't stupid and he wasn't
about to be taken as
being such either and answered the principal with his
cool monotone,
"If
that was the case you would have expelled me the first
month I was
here.
Rather you admit it or not you and faculty of Juuban
all appreciate the
work
that I do here to control the violence and the
statistics don't lie
that the
number of displinary actions involving violence,
excluding myself, has
dropped by half since I arrived. Don't play me for a
fool, sir, we
both
know you can't afford to expel me and lose the
sembelence of control I
have
managed to bring."
The slightly balding man merely shook his head,
"That is what you
believe, and unfortunatly is true. Yet I have a
dilemia of my own, the
parents of the trouble makers are starting to raise a
ruckus and that's
why
you realize you'll most likely be spending the rest of
your high school
life
in detention."
Again only a nod was returned, "If that is how it
is judged."
He shook his head, "Go and enjoy your lunch,
Jeremy."
As the boy got out of his chair to leave the
principal continued,
"And
please try to avoid coming down here for the rest of
the day."
