Rurouni Kenshin is about the ledgendary "hitokiri" ( assassin ) of the Meiji period.
He's name was "Hitokiri Battousai" , Battousai meaning the master of sword techniques.
After the Meiji Ishin was established, Hitokiri Battousai, a member of the Ishin shishi,
swore to his heart that he will never kill anyone again. So at the moment, he carries around
a sword that is up side down. By this, even if he "cut" someone, the blade would be on
the other side, so he would only hurt them instead of slicing them.
Rurouni Kenshin is still one of the most popular comics of the Jump series and has been
out for a few years now. The story had started from the Tsuji kiri Battousai, then
moved on to Kenshin meeting Sagara Sanosuke, then the Onmitsu Oniwa Banshuu
series, to the Raijyuuta series moving on to Kenshin meeting Saito Hajime again.
After this ( although this takes up about 1 ~ 7 of the Tanko bon ) Kenshin goes to fight
Shishio Makoto, the guy who took Kenshin's place as the Assassin after he left.
The story continues to the series now, where Kenshin meets Enishi, who is Megumi's,
(kenshin's ex-wife) brother who wants revenge on Him.
This episode concludes as Enishi finds out what Megumi really wanted
was not revenge on kenshin, but for enishi to live his own life.
The series has now ended where kenshin can now no longer use his
Hiten Mitsurugi ryuu techniques due to the over stress caused
to his body. Yahiko is now 15, and he is now the owner of kenshins
sakaba tou , Now Yahiko and Yutarou lead the way of the
Kamiya Katsushin ryuu to spread their way of sword to make
people live rather than to die.
In here I have only briefly discussed the topic, so if you want to find out more about
the comic series, I suggest you buy the series.
Its a good comic series and the guy who writes it is a mad drawer.
