After months of intensive training they left. For the purpose of the mission, Magenta had been made a member of the TSA with all the rights and privileges that went with it. They had been given months of training on how to stand the Sonic Transducer and how to use the meduse function. The machine had been fitted with a Meduse function in case anything went wrong with one of the humans and they had to be brought back to Transsexual by force.
As soon as the castle left for Earth, Magenta began to miss Transsexual. Her brother couldn't comfort her, as they were around Frank. He didn't know of there relationship and Riff wanted it to stay that way.
It was only a 20 minute journey to Earth and the course was pre-planned, so nothing needed to be done. They would go to a small town called Denton in a large continent on the planet. The town was tiny and the people simple, so they shouldn't have problems. Riff and Magenta were to secure places working on the planet, as if they wouldn't have enough work taking care of Frank at the castle.
The ride seemed to take forever. She was scared and wanted nothing more than to reach out and hug Riff, but she couldn't. Finally she felt a slight shudder as the castle landed. Frank rose briskly from the chair he had been lounging in. He was wearing even less then the last time she had seen him, having replaced the short skirt with underwear. He yawned.
"You both know what to do. Get on with it."
He left the room. Riff turned to her. She realised she must have become a little pail with the fright and the feeling of travelling through space, it had made her stomach turn. He walked to her and lay his hand on her arm in a protective way. She looked into his eyes.
"I know you want to go home, but we have things to do first. Come, the faster we change and go into town the faster we will finish our mission and be able to leave this place.”
She nodded and followed him into the dressing room. The room, hidden away from the rest of the castle, was full of human clothes. Plain clothes. They had spent about a week being taught how to move among humans. How to wear their clothes, style their hair, how to walk, how to talk.
She began to brush her unruly hair back. It took some work, but she got it to lay flat against her head. She fastened it there with a clip then pulled of her short dress and replaced it with the pants and shirt Earth females wore.
She looked at herself in the mirror. She was naturally very pale, so she picked up a makeup pallet and set about darkening her skin. She massaged the powder into her face until she had a light tan. Then she slipped on the pumps provided and turned to Riff. He had applied makeup in much the same way as her. He had left his hair down and had changed into some pants similar to hers, a t-shirt and a jacket. He looked over at her. She felt very self conscious and ugly. She wasn't meant to wear those clothes or have her hair like that. She felt so ugly.
Riff wrapped his arms about her and pulled her close. She fought back tears, not wanting to have to reapply the makeup.
"Come on," he said, “let's get out of here.”
Earth gravity was greater than on Transsexual and it was daytime. Not only did she feel like the pumps were full of lead, but she had to deal with the harsh rays of the sun burning into her skin. She longed for night, when she could bath in the moon’s rays, but she knew that was a long time and a lot of hurt away.
They drove into town in some monstrosity of a machine. Riff knew how to operate it, so they were fine. They spent the entire day searching for jobs, but were unsuccessful. Finally they returned to the castle, but their war was far from over. Frank-en-Further had been here in the castle all day by himself and place was a mess. They set to cleaning up broken things and washing clothes and plates and cooking until Frank-en-Further finally left to go into town.
Once all the work was done, Magenta stumbled up to her room. She wasn't allowed to share a room with Riff, Frank might find out. She threw the window open and leaned her head out into the cool night air. The sky was clear and the moon beat down on her. She heard the door behind her open, but didn't look round.
A moment later her brother slid his arms around her waist. She smiled and leaned into the touch, feeling his breath on her neck.
"Are you already homesick?" She nodded. He picked her up and carried her to the bed. She lay there with her eyes closed. She didn't want to be here. She wanted to open her eyes and find herself on Transsexual. But she knew that could never happen.
She felt Riff lay down beside her and snuggled into his chest. She just wanted to go home.
-----
Time passed, about 3 weeks marked by the glaring brightness of the day followed by the blessed nights. Magenta had barely slept at all, fulfilling there mission through the day and spending the night looking at the moon and wishing for her home. Riff had tried to get her to sleep, but even when she slept in his arms she only managed a few hours rest. Frank-en-Further went out every night, sometimes to Denton and sometimes he went farther away. He would come back with lovers who he would throw out the morning after. It seemed no-one could hold his attention for very long.
The mission didn't interest Frank and soon he plunged back into the controversial experiments that had lost him his good reputation to start with.
Frank hated Denton, Magenta could tell. He did bring home a lot of lovers from there though. It seemed he was planning to make the whole planet ‘give themselves over to pleasure’ one at a time starting in Denton.
An evening about three weeks in Frank was bored. He didn't want to go into Denton, so he decided to send Riff and Magenta to find him a lover. Frank had announced this and Riff had retaliated immediately, saying he wouldn't do it. Then Frank threatened her. He told Riff that if he didn't have a lover he would have to get what he wanted from the women in the castle. Riff had, of course, agreed to find Frank someone rather than let him hurt her.
They had gone into town together, as she was afraid to be alone in the castle with Frank. They checked out the local high school hang out first. A lot of people were sitting around tables laughing, but they singled out a quiet girl who sat alone at a table reading. She had long red hair which fell in ringlets. She was wearing a very old fashioned dress compared to the other people in the bar and seemed to be more interested in her book then socialising.
Riff gave Magenta a look and she slipped back into the shadows. She watched him as he strode over to the quiet girl. Frank-en-Further would like this one. She was innocent. He liked persuading innocents to ‘give in to pleasure’. Maybe if he really liked her, he would be occupied long enough for she and Riff to have a little bedroom fun. Magenta didn't know what Riff said to the girl, but soon he started for the door with her behind. Magenta slipped out of the shadows as she approached and the three of them climbed in the truck together.
The girl seemed very quiet and kept fiddling with the bag she had on her lap. Riff occasionally smiled reassuringly at her. Magenta didn't want to speak to her in case she scared the girl away. Then the girl tapped her on her shoulder to get her attention. Magenta turned around.
"I'm Lousie. Who are you?" the girl asked in a high pitched voice.
"Magenta," she said, a little more sharply then she had intended. Louise bit her lip and looked out of the window again. Magenta smiled and turned back to look out. They were soon at the castle. Louise seemed in awe of it. Magenta tried not to notice the girl gaping up at the massive structure. As they pulled up, Frank was waiting. Louise looked panicked for a second. Riff quickly pulled open the door and introduced her to Frank. He smiled in that way he did and lead her away, into the castle.
Magenta sighed and collapsed back against the truck. Riff came around and stood in front of her, then stroked her face. She smiled.
"Come on, Frank should be distracted for a while, let's go to bed." A grin spread across her face as Riff led her into the house.
-----
A few hours later, Magenta stepped outside for a cigarette. She had tried to stop smoking as she knew Riff didn't like it, but she couldn't. As she went outside she found the girl... Louise?... sobbing on the step. She had seen a good number of Frank’s lovers like this, especialy the ones from Denton.
"I'm a good girl, I'm a good girl," Louise sobbed under her breath. Magenta sat down besides her and patted her back awkwardly.
"Don't worry," she said. "I lot of Frank’s lovers feel like this when they first ‘give in the pleasure’. It won’t be so bad tomorrow."
"That's not it," Lousie sobbed.
"What is it then?"
"I liked it."
-----
Soon Louise practically lived at the castle. It didn't take long for Frank to let slip about their true identities. She didn't mind. She tough it was cool. Riff gave her a Transsexual name, Columbia. Magenta explained the job problem to ‘Columbia’, hoping that as an Earthling she would be able to find an answer. Sure enough, she did. Columbia's father ran the local churches, but he was getting old and when Riff and Magenta presented themselves as parishioners from another church, he was more then happy to take them on.
Soon they found themselves wearing even drabber clothing then most humans, preaching about a god the didn't believe in, christening, marrying, burying. Magenta preferred the funerals. At least they wore black to those. Maybe it wasn't exactly Transsexual black but anything was better then nothing.
It didn't take Frank long to bore of Columbia, but that didn't keep her from hanging around the castle all the time until finally she moved in, just after her father died. She had become obsessed with dancing and seemed to use every flat surface to tap or waltz or whatever. Magenta tended to ignore her.
Frank soon began to bring back other lovers and Columbia's eye began to roam, too. They both spent most of their evenings in town and ended up getting laid. Magenta was so glad that Riff didn't go out, he stayed with her. Always.
It was a good two months before Frank found himself another permanent lover. By then Magenta had slipped into a routine. She rose early and made Frank’s breakfast, then woke Riff and Columbia. They would all dress in their drab clothes and go to work. They would spend all day working in the church and return home as evening began to set in. They would change into their own clothing and Magenta and Riff would clean up the mess Frank had made all day while Frank and Columbia would disappear. It didn't take them long to clean up. Then they had the evening to themselves. They would have sex, anywhere they felt like it. They would kiss and touch and so much more, then retire to their rooms for a good night’s sleep.
On the day that Frank found a new lover everything went as it had any other day. Frank had ordered something for one of his experiments and was expecting it delivered, so in the evening instead of going out, he waited in. This was annoying Riff as they couldn't have sex. Frank kept prowling the castle and might catch them. Magenta was a little mad too, but at least Columbia was out.
Magenta was cleaning the hall when the package arrived. Frank ran to the door to collect it. She didn't even look up. She heard Frank take a little breath, then he began talking. He was flirting with the delivery boy.
Magenta tried to ignore it. Somehow she knew, though. She knew that this was going to be another of Frank’s things. This guy would stick around for a while. After that Frank would forget him, just like Columbia.
Frank made his way out of the hall, his new lover in tow. Magenta glanced up at them, she didn't see what Frank saw in him, then her mind turned to Riff and she smiled. Riff, her brother. Now Frank was occupied she could be with him again. All thoughts of Frank’s new lover out of her head, she drifted off to find Riff. He would make everything go away.
-----
It was a week later when she remembered the delivery boy. A lot of people hung around the castle and she didn’t really care when she had been asked to cook for one more. What difference did it make to her. In fact, what brought the delivery boy back to her memory was Columbia mentioning him.
Apparently Columbia had taken quite a liking to ‘Eddie’ herself. No doubt Frank would be quite happy to have them both in his bed for a while, then when he bored of them they could still have each other.
Magenta was still horribly homesick. She spent hours crying for her flat and her job and her life. Riff tried to comfort her and sometimes he managed, but most of the time, it didn't work. She longed to bathe in the pale moonlight, to feel it's gentle rays wash over her skin. She longed to lay on her bed under the moon, resting in Riff’s arms. Everyday she was away from her home, it was like a piece of her was torn out and fed to the dogs Frank had insisted on gathering for ‘protection’.
At least she still had Riff. She would always have Riff. He had done so much for her. Every time he was out of her sight she worried though, worried about what might happen to him, that she might have to face life alone. It wasn't a pleasant thought. Now she lay sprawled on her bed. There was a big window, but Earth’s moon was so small, it barely cast enough light to see by. The window was at an odd angle and the light fell across her legs. She thought about turning over so she could see out of the window, but looking at Earth’s moon would only upset her more.
She glanced over to her clock. Riff was normally in bed with her by now. She wondered if he had gone to his own room. She hoped not. She needed him. The door slipped open. Her eyes flew to see who it was and she was relieved to see Riff stumble through the door. She reached out for him and he stumbled towards her, taking hold of her. She wrapped her arms around him, beginning to worry.
"Something terrible is happening Magenta." "What is it?" "Frank, he has been struck by inspiration. He thinks he knows the secret to life Magenta, and he's going to make a man."
She gasped. He couldn't. It was against the mission. It could ruin the reputation of everyone there. It could ruin her and her brother and for what? So he could have a fuck for a while, then thrown the new plaything out of his bed. She refused to give up everything over that.
"He can't," she whispered. She felt tears gather in her eyes. Riff reached out for her and she laid her head on his shoulder and began to cry. Everything had been good, how could things go so horribly wrong?
-----
Soon after that Frank started getting agitated. It had become apparent that Frank was not a patient man; he was also relatively incompetent. He made Riff do most of the work, preferring to lounge around all day. Riff tried, he really did. He would work all day at the church to complete the mission and spend most of the evening working for Frank.
Then Frank acquired a new ‘toy’. A horrible whip he would use to beat Riff whenever he felt the work wasn't being done fast enough. Many evenings Riff would go to her room, his back covered in red marks. She would hold him and rub ointment on his wounds and let him yell at her if he was angry or cry on her when he was desperate. She knew he needed it, she felt it to. She just wanted to go home, for things to be ok again, but for the moment she forgot about that and concerntratred on Riff.
Frank beat him cruelly. It didn't take him long to be covered in bruises from the various whippings. Sometimes, Riff would be so mad he would scream and yell at her. She would take it. He never hit her. He could never harm her. She knew he loved her, so she really didn't care that he needed someone to take out his frustration on sometimes.
The times that hurt most where the times he didn't yell. The times he almost gave up. He cried. She had never known Riff to cry in front of her before but now he did, more out of the fact there was nowhere else to do it. She hated that. She hated to see that Frank could reduce her brother to that. She held him and helped him as much as she could, because she knew if she didn't love him and help him to get through it, then when he gave up for good, she would too. She couldn't fight if he couldn't.
She knew something had to be done, but Riff owed Frank. He couldn't do anything. She knew she had to be the one to take action. One evening, when she knew Frank was busy yelling at Riff, she crept into the castle control room. It contained all the mechanics related to the Sonic Transducer and the Transit Beam, it also contained all the weapons.
Most important of all it contained the only means of contacting Transsexual. Set in the back wall, there was a small screen and keyboard. She quickly typed in her message and sent it. It would take about 2 months to travel to Transsexual and back, but when it returned, things would change for the better.
She went back to the room she shared with Riff, Frank had long ago stopped wandering through this part of the castle so they could now share a room, in a much better mood and settled in to wait. It was an hour before Riff tumbled through the door. He wasn't mad, he was depressed. She ran to him and held him but he didn't hold her back as he normally did, he stood stiff.
"My shoulders," he whispered. Quickly she turned and pulled his jacket, then his shirt off his beaten shoulders. Several new bright red scars burned across the multitude of scars that already existed. She reached out to touch them and as her fingers brushed lightly over them, Riff whimpered.
She led him to the bed and he lay down on his chest while she brought the lotion. He hissed as she ran her hands, covered in the ointment, over his new scars. She tried to be gentle, but it had to be done. That was the only way it would heal. Finally she finished applying the ointment and want and washed her hands, then she came back and dressed the wounds.
"I really need something to protect my shoulders," he whispered.
"Maybe you should wear a towel under your shirt across your shoulders. It would cushion the blows."
"That's quite a good idea," he whispered.
-----
"We’ll have to do something soon," Riff yelled.
"No, we won’t," Frank insisted. Magenta bit her lip and pressed closer to the door, listening to her brother argue with Frank.
"You know how impatient the society is. If we don't get another two samples quickly then we'll be in a lot of trouble. And I mean we Frank. You'll have to take as much blame as me, if not more.
"We already have Eddie and Columbia. If you just let Magenta and I pick out a young couple from the church all this can be over."
"Fine," Frank exclaimed. A smile flit across Magenta’s lips at the small victory for she and her brother. "Start looking, but you know I'm hosting a big get together for all the Transsexuals stationed on Earth, during which I'm planing to unveil my creation. Why not bring them up here on that night? I'm sure they'd enjoy it."
"We'll get right on it... Master."
Magenta shuddered to hear her brother refer to that man as Master, but Frank insisted on it. She knew Frank had told Riff he would hurt her if he didn't comply. He had told her that he would hurt Riff. He didn't make shallow threats and there was nothing they could do. To suffer over such a small point would be useless.
She stepped back from the door as it swung open and Frank marched out. He didn't even spare her a glance as he passed, head held high. Riff followed him. Her brother did take the time to look at her, and smiled. It was so good to see him smile. He never smiled anymore. Just yelled.
Frank turned the corner and left them. Riff smiled and leaned over her, kissing her softly on the neck. She relaxed in his embrace. It had been so long since he held her like that, whispered in her ear, stroked her hair. She missed it.
"Soon, my beautiful sister," he whispered. She nodded softly and he returned his lips to her neck.
-----
They had been looking for samples. They wanted to take a couple so they didn't have to go through the seduction twice. It wasn't easy. A lot of people came to the church, but Riff and Magenta knew they would have to pick out just the right couple or Frank would refuse to seduce them. Frank insisted on seducing the sampled. It was really not necesary but he did insist on it.
In the meantime, Riff fell back into the mood he had been in. She tried to be strong, but sometimes it was so hard. She just wanted to reach out to him and be held but couldn’t because Frank was there. She would end up having to lay in bed masturbating because they didn’t have time for for sex, as he had to work for Frank. It was driving her slowly into depression.
All the people on Earth were so different from on Transsexual, so uptight. She wanted to just hit her head on something every time she thought about the damn church or the job or the mission.
And there was still the awful sun. All through the day she hid in the shade whenever she could, but sometimes doing that was impossible. It hurt her to stand with the harsh light beating down on her. She had one small solace, one small touch she could give Riff when Frank was around. Columbia called it elbow sex. It was a kind of celebratory gesture anyone could use on Transsexual, but she and Riff had been using it more and more often. The little physical contact it gave was a relief in their current situation.
Time wore on. It had been a good two months since she had sent the message to Transsexual. Frank had sent out invitations and the party was tomorrow night. She and Riff only had that day to find a young couple and set up the necessary arrangements to get them to the castle.
She lay on her bed that night considering the long and trying time ahead. It was not going to be fun, having to work for Frank and complete the mission. Everything could go wrong. They could, and probably would, loose everything in that one day. Frank would create his creature and Riff’s reputation would be so damaged that he would never be able to find work again. Her only hope was that the response from Transsexual came through soon.
She felt a tear trace it's way down her cheek. She tried to wipe it away, but as soon as she did it ws replaced by another. Quietly she curled up into a ball and started to sob. A second later the door opened and Riff entered. He saw her crying and immediately ran to her side, pulling her close. She let him hold her, stroke her hair, whisper reassuring words in her ear. She loved it when he did this. Loved him for doing this.
"It will be all right, Magenta," he whispered. She didn't respond, just buried her head in his shoulder. She knew it wouldn't be all right; how could it possible be all right? Everything was crashing down around them!
Yet in some strange way she believed him. She trusted Riff to take care of her. If Riff said everything was going to be fine then everything was going to be fine. She let her eye lids fall shut and her sobs grew fewer and further between. A voice in the back of her head told her she should ask Riff how he was, but she was just to tired at the moment. She slipped into a restful sleep in her brother’s loving arms.
-----
When the morning came around she was feeling a lot better. She loved lying on her bed with Riff, her head rested on his chest. He was still asleep. Absent mindedly she remembered lying like that on the morning after their first night together. He moved against her in his sleep and she smiled and, snuggling closer into his chest.
She let her thoughts wander over the last night. Over the incredible sex that she and Riff had shared. She had woken through the night, a litte more in controle of herself, and Riff had decided to make her feel even better. She felt a content smile spreading across her lips.
Eventually Riff stirred. She closed her eyes and pretended to still be asleep, anything to keep them in this embrace longer. Apparently it wasn't meant to be though, for as soon as Riff was awake he took her shoulder and shook then gently until she woke up.
"Come along, Magenta," he said, amused by her sleepy face. "We have much to do for Frank’s party tonight."
She nodded and rolled out of the bed, grabbing her Earth clothing from a chair in the corner. She dressed and Riff did the same on his side of the room, then they did their did there makeup, taking pains to make themselves look like plain, average Earthlings. When they came down into the hall, Columbia was already there, wearing the same drab clothes but with a giant grin on her face.
On the way to the church, Magenta resigned herself to listening to Columbia's insane chatter about what she and her lovers had done last night. Most of the time she didn't mind the girl, sometimes she even felt sorry for pulling her into this, but when Columbia was in such a happy mood, Magenta couldn't stand to be around the younger woman.
They went through morning preparations as any other day, setting out the flowers. Magenta checked the files. A wedding this morning. The Hapshat-Munro wedding. She absent mindedly wondered if they could find a couple there who might spark Frank’s interest. They would have to.
The wedding service went by like any other. Magenta wished she would never have to witness another marriage ceremony as long as she lived. She could never have one, so why should these people?
After the wedding Magenta and Riff stepped outside to watch the family. They rushed around, grinning and hugging. She silently scanned the crowd for a likely couple. She found what she was looking for in the form of some of the ‘happy couples’ friends. A girl with blond hair jumping up and down in a very naive and happy way. Magetna shared a secretive glance with Riff and he nodded.
It seemed luck was on their side when a man joined her. Then he asked her to marry him. Magenta could hardly believe it. It was just what they were looking for. And the couple planned to make a journey that evening. All the better.
-----
That evening, after their duties were done, they returned to the castle. Riff had to go straight back out again to make plans to bring the couple they had spotted at the church to the castle that evening. The rest would be up to Frank.
Most of her evening was consumed with party preperations. She had to cook and clean and wash. Columbia helped a little, but Frank didn't even think about lifting a finger. He was in the lab finishing up. Why would a master scientist like him want to help with pitiful little housekeeping chores? They were her job.
Riff came back soon and they snuck of together to bed. After a few stollen kisses, in all the right places, they changed into their Transsexual clothes. Sometimes Magenta felt silly in the maid’s outfit, but she had dealt with if for as long as she could remember.
The guests were arriving. Magenta could hear them. Columbia was probably having a great time meeting and greeting. She had become somewhat subdued when she came home and found Eddie gone, but the work had helped her take her mind of it and now the thrill of being in the company of so many Transsexuals was distracting her. She left Riff to finish dressing and crept down to the control room. She didn't expect to find anything. What were the odds that now, on the last possible day, word would come through.
She was shocked to find it there, waiting for her. A message from the TSA. They disapproved of what Frank was doing. Affective immediately the mission was being controlled by Riff Raff, who had permission to use all force necessary to apprehend Frank and his creation and beam the castle back to Transsexual.
She almost burst into tears. She grabbed a print out of the message and ran back up to their room. He was there, staring out of the window.
"Riff."
"Yes, my beautiful sister?"
"look at this," she cried, holding out the message. He took the paper from her hand and read it, then looked up at her, his eyes shining.
"Is this real?"
"Yes, I contacted the TSA when you first told me about Frank’s plan. I knew you could not so I took matters into my own hands."
"Magenta, you are wonderful," he exclaimed, sweeping her up into his arms. She laughed as he swung her around, then set her down, kissing her softly.
"Can we stop this now?"
"Oh my love, not just yet. Frank has his party. Most of his guests do not know that his plans go against the mission statement. We must wait until the party is over, then we will go home, home to our beloved Transsexual."
Her heart fluttered. They were going home. Soon they would be back in their apartment, their bed. She would work one job and so would he and they would spend their nights together and no-one could stop them. They would not have to take care of anyone but themselves. It was almost too good to be true.
Nothing could stop it now though. No-one could shatter their dreams. Imagine how happy the TSA would be when they returned with all their data and their three samples.
They heard the door ring. Reluctantly, Riff released her from his embrace. She smiled up at him and he returned the look lovingly.
"I will have to go and answer the door. We cannot let Frank know anything is different."
"Of course," she whispered. He left and a few minutes later she followed, just knowing things would start to go there way now.
-----
A few hours later Magenta stood in the lab, cleaning. Normally this was the type of thing that she hated, but today she loved everything. Riff walked up to her and held her gaze for a moment, then looked over to Rocky. She knew what her brother wanted to do, but it might get them in trouble with Frank so he was asking her first. She nodded, then watched admiringly as he walked up to the bed.
He woke the creature and chased it, scaring it into breaking it’s chains and running. She felt a laugh rising in her as it tried to run off down the lift shaft. Then Riff looked up at her and she met his gaze. It was a gaze with so much more intensity then anything she had ever seen before.
They touched fingers, hands, elbows, then he threw his arm around her and began to kiss her neck. She gasped and let him pull her close. He kissed her intensely then his hands began to slide down, under her skirt.
He took her right there, in the lab. She could hardly believe it. Before they had always been so careful and now, he was making love to her with total abandon on the bed Frank had made for him and Rocky. When they finished Riff dressed quickly. She was so shocked he pretty much had to dress her. Once they were both fully dressed he pulled her into another quick embrace.
"There's a lot we have to do," he whispered. "I have to go sort some things out. Why don't you go get changed?"
She nodded and wandered up to their room, but suddenly found it very empty and abandoned it in preference of spending time with Columbia. She sought the younger woman out in her room. Coulmbia’s room was chaotic and something of a child's room, matching the young woman's age.
Columbia was sprawled out on a couch in the middle of the room. Magenta had known Columbia would be depressed as she had seen Frank kill Eddie. Absent mindedly Magenta wondered what Eddie had been doing in the deep freeze. She didn't know a lot of the things that went on in the castle. She was sure Riff knew exactly what had happened. He tried to protect her from the worst of it by not telling her, it also gave her plausible deniability if the TSA ever caught hold of it.
She had heard some things though, something about Eddie and Frank having a fight. She would have to ask Riff about it later.
She went up and gave Columbia a hug. Columbia returned it, crying on Magenta’s shoulder. Magenta patted the girl’s back. When they had come back from the church that day, Columbia had locked herself in the bathroom for about 1/2 an hour. When she came out her beautiful long hair had all been cut of. Magenta didn’t know why. Maybe it had something to do with the fight between Frank and Eddie?
"Calm down, Columbia," she whispered, stroking her friend’s back. Columbia just started crying harder. Magenta must have sat there holding her for at least 20 minutes before Columbia pulled herself together.
Once Columbia seemed a bit more collected, Magenta sent her to wash her face. Magenta relaxed back on the couch and turned on the monitor of the lab. As Columbia returned, she saw Janet entering the lab...
-----
Magenta wandered into the kitchen. The show on the monitor was over.Well actually it had just started, but she had no real desire to see the girl have sex with the creature. Riff was standing in the kitchen. He met her eyes as she entered.
"What's for dinner?" she found herself asking.
"Eddie," Riff replied. For a second Magenta was worried about Columbia, then she realised this was undoubtably one of Frank’s ways of getting back at his lover.
"I’m going down to the lab to ‘help’ Frank find Rocky. You'll have to come in about 10 minutes and announce dinner. It should be ready. I’ll help you prepare it then."
She nodded. Riff left. For a second she just stood there. She should have stopped Eddie from dying. There was no point in keeping any of them now. Without two male and two female specimens, the mission would still be branded a failure. It wouldn't even be a partial success.
But soon the feeling passed. She knew it would soon be over, and whether their mission was a success or not, they would return to Transsexual, her beloved Transsexual. What she wouldn't give just to stand in the beautiful pale light of the moons of Transsexual once more, to know she was safe and not to have to feel the light of the damn sun ever again.
She went about preparations as arranged, knowing that soon everything would change.

She and Riff went back to their room holding hands. It was almost over for Frank. He had just Medused them all. She knew full well when he reversed the machine they would all be under his thrall, ready to give themselves over to pleasure.
Riff led her slowly up the stairs into their room. Frank was busy preparing the floor show. All they had to do was burst in and take him into custody. And now with Dr. Scott there, they had there mission quota again.
"We’re really going home, aren't we?" she whispered. He smiled and nodded. She felt an absurd grin spread over her features.
"Soon, my beloved sister, soon we can lay once more in the light of our beautiful Transsexual. You are so wonderful, my sister. Thank you my love, you have helped me and soon we'll be back home again."
"That is all I've ever wanted," she whispered.
She pulled their TSA uniforms out of the closet. Really, they were strange and ugly things, but they had to wear them when dealing with official TSA business. She felt Riff’s hands on her back as he gently stripped her. She sighed as his hands caressed her naked flesh, and they used the time they had to get ready very well.

Magenta stood at the castle window watching the Earth recede below her. She imagined for a moment she could almost see Brad, Janet, and Dr. Scott sprawled out, but the feeling soon left her. Riff had let them go, since he had been forced to kill Columbia there was really no point having the others, their mission was a failure. Suddenly she felt words come to her and began to sing.
"Science fiction, double feature
Frank has built and
Lost his creature
Darkness had conquered Brad and Janet
The servants gone to
A distant planet
Oh, ohhhhhhhh, oh
At the late night,
double feature, picture show
I want to go
Oh, ohhhhhhhhh, oh
To the late night
Double feature, picture show."
