Seventeen members of Delta Pi registered to participate in the 1998 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to be held on Saturday, October 17th at NorthPark Center in Dallas. Several members who could not actually run or walk in the event made a donation to help the cause. Having participated in the past, as well as this year, our chapter will make this an annual project.
Delta Kappa Gamma / Rotary Literacy Project
Delta Pi will work with another organization, possibly Richardson Retired Teachers, to assist local schools in achieving maximum literacy. Details for this have yet to be established.
School / Delta Pi Partnership
Several of our members teach in at-risk areas in the Dallas community. We will ask these members to ascertain specific needs of the classes in their schools and sponsor those classes.
