Updates on Midnight Madness locations

I spent last summer in Los Angeles and while I was there I looked up several of the locations from Midnight Madness.

Johnie's Fat Boy Retaurant on Wilshire Blvd.

Remember in MM when Harold said, "There's a cockroach in my water!"? Well, as of the summer of '98, the real Johnie's was closed by the Board of Health due to cockroaches. No joke! The statue on top of the Johnie's sign is no longer there as well as the Fat Boy painting on the wall.

Bonaventure Hotel

If you look in the middle of the picture you can see two outside elevators side by side. The hotel is on Figuroa St. in downtown Los Angeles.

Inside the Bonaventure Hotel

The Bonaventure has tons of shops and restaurants. It's practically a mall! I had trouble finding my way around there. I would have gone to the pool but I didn't have any more money for the parking meter.

Here is where the yellow team and blue team raced to the finish line. Next to the elevators were plaques that said 'A scene from ____ was filmed here.' But of course they didn't have one from MM.

Hollywood Towers

My cousin's house in Hollywood Hills is right near by the Hollywood Tower. They've added a canopy entrance on the outside. I didn't go inside, nor did I get a picture, even though I said I was going to. There's no good parking in LA!

LAX

I didn't get to go inside, nor did I want to, but I drove around it when I dropped my dad off there. It takes at least 30 min. to drive around the airport, even at 7am! I can't remember if there are any Airport Info 530 am signs. Sorry.
