Frank soon learns the truth about the Millennium Group and their desire to have control over the events following doomsday but it is too late to save his wife from a deadly plague. Following Catherine's death, Frank moved himself and Jordan back to Washington DC to consult for the FBI. He becomes a mentor to a young FBI agent named Emma Hollis. He is still troubled by the Group's involvement in his wife's death and in some of the cases they are investigating. He is eventually warned by Peter Watts that he and Jordan may be in danger and leaves his home and job for parts unknown.
