Note: This story does not follow the continuim (is that a word?) of the
FY timeline. All Seishi are still alive, and Miaka and Yui are still
feuding..
Fushigi Yuugi ("Mysterious Play") is a story about a girl who acquired
the shichiseishi ("seven seihi") of Suzaku. She gained omnipotent power
and made every wish come true. The story itself is an incantation. Whomever
finishes reading it will receive its power. As soon as the page is turned,
the story will become the truth and begin....

Jesse looked around in amazement. Never before had she seen such a
huge amount of books in one place. She spotted the rest of the Quest
team near a counter, and slowly walked over, still looking around in awe.
The Quests were in Tokyo, Japan, on vacation. They were hoping to
spend at least a week without running into an old enemy...if that were
ever possible. They had decided to stop by the National Library. Well,
Jesse, Dr Quest and Hadji wanted to go. They had to drag Jonny and Race
with them.
Dr. Quest looked up from the book he was riffling through.
"Why don't you kids go and look around?" Jesse shrugged and
set off, followed not to far behind by Jonny and Hadji.
"Now don't get lost!" Race cried out in a joke-ish manner.
"Where whould we go?" Jonny asked, taking a few leaps to catch
up with Jesse and Hadji.
"I saw a stairway up near the juice machines ." Jesse said, gesturing with
a hand towards the juice machines.
"Are we allowed up there?" Hadji the ever-so-humble asked.
"Well Hadj," Jonny said, "Why would they put stairs in plain
view if they didn't want anyone there?" They were walking past the juice
machines when Jonny suddenly slipped on something and fell on his a...erm,
bottom.
"Cripes!" He said as he stood up, rubbing his back painfully. "They
shouldn't leave stuff lying around like that!!" The other two nodded as
the trio headed across the hall and up the stairs, leaving behind them
an extremely-scuffed-up silver coin*.
As they came to the top of the stairs, the trio noticed a door,
accompanied by two white signs adorned with characters**.
"Come on!" Jonny said in a whisper-like tone as he crept through
the door.
"I do not like this.." Hadji declared as he followed Jonny and Jesse
into the room.
Inside the room, they were surrounded by loads of old books. What
distracted the trio was a book that seemed to be surrounded by a red light.
"My friends, I do not beleiv that that book is supposed to be glowing!"
Before anyone could reply to Hadji, the book fell off the shelf and onto the
floor, open, and still surrounded by the red light.
"Eh heh heh.." Jonny said, slowly backing away from the book. "Hey...
Jess? Why don't you go get my dad and Race?" Jesse was gone in a flash,
leaving Jonny and Hadji with the glowing book.
Jesse was back in a minute with Dr Quest and Race. On the way, she
had told them both about the glowing book. As soon as Dr Quest entered the
room, he walked over to the book and carefully picked it up. He closed the
book, and peared at its cover. After looking at it for a moment, he said,
"Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho." Jesse quickly went over the little Japanese
she knew.
"Four Gods Sky and Earth?"
"Yes." Dr Quest flipped the book open to the first page and read.
"This is a story about a girl who acquired the seven seishi of Suzaku.
She gained omnipotent power and made every wish come true. The story itself
is an incantation, whomever finishes reding it will receive omnipotent power.
As soon as the page is turned, the story will becoe truth and begin."
"Does that mean someones gonna get sucked into the book?" Jonny
asked, peering over Dr. Quests shoulder.
"Well Jonny," He replied, flipping through the pages. "It appears
to me someone is already in here..." He flipped over two more pages. "Two,
rather."
"Whoa Doc," Race said rather doubtfully. "Your meaning to tell me
that two girls got sucked into that book?!"
"When you put it that way Race, yes. I've heard a lot of stories
about this book." He opened it up to the most current page, where there
was writing only halfway through the page. "The five Americans stood in shock
as the Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho began to glow, and pulled them into its world."
Before the Quest Team had time to blink, the book did exactly as it said,
and pulled the Quest team into it's world...
* When Yuuki Miaka (or Miaka Yuuki) visited the library with her friend, Hongo
Yui (Yui Hongo), she stopped bu the juice machine. The coin fell out of her
fingers and otno the floor. I can't recall if she ever picked it up. But
in my timeline, she didn't ^_~
** The sign on the door reads "Employees Only", the sign next to the door
reads "Internal Documents Refernce Room" or something like that..

Questions, comments, and flames are all welcome!! (Although flames will be
laughed at and immediately destroyed)
Whadya think? I've had this X-Over at mind for a while..although I'm
hoping to make more humorous than serious. This part was serious only
because I had to get the Quests pulled into the book *somehow*

"Emperor!" A guard rushed into the room where the 8 were
confrencing. "Emperor! 5 have been found a few kilometers from here,
wearing strange clothes!!" Everyone immediately jumped up, except for
one girl, who was to busy stuffing her face.
"Miaka?" Miaka looked up from her plate.
"Yeah Nuriko?"
"Are you coming?"
"In a sec..." Miaka stuffed one more roll in her mouth, then took
off after the others.
Jesse stiffled a yawn. Rubbing at her eyes, she sat up, only to
be met by a spear head.
"Eh heh heh.." She carefully prodded the others awake.
"Um, Dad? Dr Quest? Guys...."
"Don' wanna get up Jess...to tired.." Jonny turned onto his side,
but sat straight up when he felt a spear nudge his stomach.
"Hey!! Whats the big idea?!?" Jonny said, glaring at the nearest
soldier. The soldier just grunted.
"Jonny, my friend. *PLEASE* do not provoke the soldiers." Hadji
said as he adjusted his turban. The sound of horses alerted them all.
"Ah! Emperor Saihitei-sama!" The guards bowed, keeping an eye
on their prisoners. Another group of soldiers had arrived, along with
8 other people riding 6 horses. Seven dismounted, and the blue-haired
one with the hair that stuck up helped a short, pinkish-brown haired,
pigtailed boy off his horse (I mean, don't you think Chiri-chan would
need help off a horse? I mean, he's only like 4'10")
"Emperor?..." Race couldn't help but stiffle a laugh at the man
with a box-like crown on his head. The man turned towards Race and nodded.
"Hai. I am Hotohori, Emperor of the southern province, Konan."
"Konan?" Dr Quest looked puzzled. "But we were just in Toyko.."
The small boy quietly walked over to where the 5 strangers and Hotohori
were standing. Behind him was the tall girl with brown hair and a *really*
short, brown school uniform. (I'm talking short, as in as short as sailor
fuku's from SM) The little boy spoke up.
"Are you all from Miaka-san's world?" The 5 just blinked in return.
"What Chiriko means," The smiling, blue-haired munk said. "Is
did you come here like Miaka-chan did, na no da! Through the book no da."
"You mean," Jonny spoke up. "We're *IN* the book?!" All but the
girl looked confused. She looked horrified.
"Nooo!!!! Of course not! Your in ancient China.. I' Yuuki Miaka."
Miaka went to shake their hands, but fell on a rock, and landed right
in Jonny's arms (::snicker::). She stayed there a moment, only to jump
when a deep-blue haired figure was heard growling (::snicker::).
"I...I'm Jonny Quest. These are my friends Hadji and Jesse. That's
my dad, and thats Race, Jesse's dad." As he introduced everyone, they all
nodded and spit out a small hello. The little boy spoke up once again.
"I'm Ou Dou Kun, but we all go by our Seishi names. Mine's Chiriko.
That's Tasuki-san," The fiery-red haired man smiled, showing his adorable
fangs.
"Chichiri-san" The blue haired monk with the smiling face grinned
and called out "DAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
"Nuriko-san" The man with the purple hair, beauty mark under his
left eye, and feminine air (::giggle::) waved.
"Tamahome-san" The deep-blue haired man who had earlier growled
nodded his hello.
"Mitsukake-san and Tama-neko." A tall man about the size of race
smiled and the white cat on his shoulder meowed. Miaka's eyes widened.
"Are..are you the Dr. Quest who helped invent the juice machine?"
"That was a while ago..back in the 60's....." Dr Quest looked
dumbfounded as Miaka clung to his waste.
"The juice machine is the best thing!!! Ooohhhhhh!!!! Praise
you for inventing it!!!" Nuriko pried Miaka off of Dr. Quest.
"You must excuse her.. she's a little stupid."
"Crossdresser." Miaka muttered.
"Cry-baby.."
".......Crossdresser!"
"ARGH!" Nuriko cried out, and a large dust clowd surrounded them
as they began to fight.
"Please!! Please!!" Hotohori said, and the fightin ceased.
"Sorry Hotohori-sama.." The two mumbled, hanging their heads in
shame.
"Now, let us all head back to the palace and figure things out,
shall we?" Not bothering for an answer, Hotohori hopped back up on his
horse and headed off in a trot. Everyone followed, doubling up on most
of the horses.

Ano...it wasn't great...but it got all the introducing done^_~ Mind
you, There *IS* a plot...somewhere ::giggle::
All you FY Fans...did you know theres a page you can go to to find out which
seishi you were born under? I was born under Genbu's Urumiya ::drools:: he's
SOOOOO kawaii!!
To explain a few things...
Tamahome growled....beacuse he and Miaka are in love, and was obviously
PO'd at how Miaka stayed in Jonyy's arms.
Miaka called Nuriko crossdresser...because earlier on he was/is one.
After his little sister Kourin died when he was about 12, he dressed in her
clothes, thinking it would help her live.
