Hi again!

Here is yet another fic from a non-MLer, JQ fan!  It's currently
unfinished, but I'll forward the next part as it becomes available.  If you

   A portion of Jonny Quest in Jurassic Park

	Hadji froze up against the boulder as the giant T-rex came at him; jaws
open. Hadji, trying to climb over the rock told the dinosaur right where he
was.  It ran at the boy letting out an awful wail. Behind it Jonny and Jessie
pulled up in their cruiser. Jessie grabbed the joystick on the dash board,
aimed, and fired. The grappling claw caught the end of the T-rexís tail. As
the dinosaur bent over ready to bite down on Hadjiís midsection, Jonny put
the land cruiser in reverse and slammed on the gas. The animalís teeth locked
right in front of Hadji. The dinosaur suddenly realized it was being pulled
back. Jonny yanked the steering wheel back and forth holding the
Tyrannosaurus back as it tried to force its way forward now just trying to
get away. After a short tug-of-war, the Tyrannosaurus had had enough. It
turned around whipping its tail to the right. The cruiser went with it.
Landing right-side-up, Jonny and Jessie looked up at the giant animal
wide-eyed and mouths hanging open.

ìYou know, I donít think this was a very good idea.î said Jonny.

	Suddenly, the T-rex whipped around again to the left. The cruiser flew
across the clearing; the edge of the roof hitting a tree keeping it on its
wheels. Jonny resumed pulling the t-rex back but the engine overheated and
automatically shut off. The towering dinosaur turned around and slammed its
foot down onto the cable. Both Jessie and Jonny stared at the huge foot,
realizing the advantage it had over them, then slowly looked up the great
T-rex as it turned itís head and then its body towards them. It dipped its
head and let out an ear piercing scream. Jonny looked horrified while Jessie
jumped and covered her ears. The Tyrannosaurus turned towards the jungle and
began walking. Jonny watched it go slowly picking up speed and noticed the
slack on the cable was diminishing. The slack ended, the cable pulled tight
and the whole cruiser began turning towards the T-rexís path. They started
moving. Jonny turned the wheels to the right and accidentally caused the
cruiser to hurdle at Hadji. Hadji leaped over the rock just missing the
passengerís side. Jessieís side impact airbag popped out pushing her into
Jonny(Hey, thereís time for romance anywhere!). Before Jonny could hit the
gas, the speed of the T-rex threw them into their seats and brought them,
also into the jungle. Hadji peered over the rock making sure the
Tyrannosaurus was gone. He then looked over into the jungle. He could see the
cruiserís brake lights flashing wildly in the dark and heard the occasional
horn.

 ìuhohhhh.î

	Jungle plants were smashing into the wind shield. Jonny and Jessie
didnít
have the slightest idea of what was to happen next. Jessie screamed at Jonny,


ìHIT THE BRAKES!î

ìI am! I did!î he replied.

	Suddenly, over the treetops they could make out a gigantic gray
mass. It was
a brontosaurus! The T-rex ran by the dinosaur nipping at its feet. In fear,
the huge brontosaurus jumped up on to its hind legs, it lost its balance and
began to fall back down. Jonny and Jessie could see the enormous feet coming
down at them through the sun roof. It smashed to the ground just behind them.
The quake that came afterward shook the windows of the cruiser.

ì We must be getting close to the cliffline.î said Jonny.

ìWhy?î snapped Jessie.

ìBecause now weíre in the vegetarian layer of the island.î

	Suddenly, they heard a giant crunch in front of them. The T-rex had
just
broken through a group of dead trees. All of them fell to the ground but the
tree in the middle fell to a 45 degree incline making a ramp. They could both
see that the cable went over the ramp and that they were being pulled toward
it.

ìOhhh I think weíre goiní UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!î Jonny shouted maniacally as
Jessie began to scream.

	The cruiser hit the tree and they found themselves looking at the
sky almost
completely hidden by leaves. They left the ramp. Feeling weightless and just
barely missing a pterodactyl, all they could was scream. The car hit the
ground and Jessie nearly fell to the floor. Jonny couldnít take this anymore.
He jerked the wheel to the right and the cruiser veered far out. The cable
caught the trunk of a giant tree which made the cruiser snap around like a
rubber band. The force of the car and the T-rex between one another made the
cable break and the cruiser spun out of control. Jonny turned the wheels in
the opposite direction and punched the brakes but the mud from the rain made
the ground too slick. They went around and around getting closer to the edge.
As they flew around the cable went up into the air and lodged itself between
the giant branches of a tree. It caught them and they stopped parallel to the
edge of the cliff with the driverís side just hanging over. Jonny clutched
the steering wheel and looked through the window at the water. Jessie was
turned towards him, frozen.

Jonny, still looking out the window said ì All right. slowly get out.î

	Jessie turned to open the window. Just then, the car gave way. The
passengerís side fell off the cliff. Jessie lossed her balance and stumbled
out of the cruiser. Jonny grabbed the belt of her pants and yanked her back
in.

ìThanksî she said.

ìThank me later.î He retorted.î Ok. Now, letís try it again.

	Now the cable was the only thing keeping them alive. Jonny rolled
down his
window while Jessie began to go again. Rain and mud was pouring down on them
as they strived to get on to the windshield. The cable gave way a foot. The
cruiser came down. When it stopped, Jonny fell back but grabbed the rim of
the window and pulled himself back up. Jessie, half way to standing on the
windshield flopped down onto the cruiser and began to slip off.

ìHOLD ON!î Screamed Jonny.

	Jessie grabbed the tire rim with one hand, the grille with the
other, and
put her right foot on the side view mirror. When she got back up, Jonny was
just meeting her.

Jonny glanced up the cable. ìYou firstî he said.

	Jessie began to climb the cable while Jonny pushed her up. When she
was far
up enough, he began to climb, too. The cable gave way again. Jessie held on
while Jonny lost the grip of one hand. With his upper left side dangling, he
caught eye of the jagged rocks below. Three hundred feet below them was the
Pacific Ocean. A mistake now would mean the scenic route to a watery grave.
Jonny retained the grip of his left hand again and told Jessie to keep going.
She grabbed on to a root on the edge of the cliff with one hand and then the
other. She looked down and watched Jonny come up. The cable began to give way
again, inch by inch, continuously. Both there hearts began to race. Jonny
leaped as the cruiser began to fall and grabbed the edge with both hands.

	They both looked forward and Jonny screamed ìLook out!î as the
jagged cable
flew between them.

	They watched the cruiser fall. It hit and exploded. They were both
stunned
over what had happened but that was put on hold when they heard the familiar
footsteps of their old friend. They looked forward and slowly pointed their
heads up to see the T-rex. It stood there for a moment looking at the edge,
and then let out a giant roar of victory. Jessie and Jonny cringed and put
their shoulders up as far as possible to protect their ears. The
Tyrannosaurus turned around and walked back into the jungle whipping its tail
around with the grappling claw still attached to it, knocking it into trees
like a cat trying to get a piece of tape off its tail. Jonny and Jessie
looked at each other.

Jonny spoke ì Well....that was fun. Remind me to recommend this place to
Surd.î
