Series Four - Episode four

Siobhan has arranged to have the baby baptised but Brendan walks out of the rehearsals. He tells Padriag that he feels excluded from Aisling, that Siobhan is not even treating him as a friend, let alone Aisling's father. He tries to talk to the curate but Fr Aidan is having problems of his own. He is facing his first ever christening and is very nervous of making any mistakes. He enlists the help of Fr Mac and a small doll in the hope of getting the ceremony right.

Sean and Emma start to settle down in their new life in BallyK but it is not easy. Emma is finding it hard to adjust to life in a different country and she asks Sean why they are getting such hostility from people such as Padraig and Eamonn. He tells her that his father made enemies by exploiting the heavy drinkers in the neighbourhood and swindling them out of their land.

A young lad turns up on Eamonn's doorstep claiming to be his nephew. He offers to help Eamonn around the farm in return for Eamonn stabling his horse on the farm - Danny can no longer keep it in his back garden in Dublin.

Brian wants to put in a bid for the local golf course but cannot raise the capital himself. Orla offers to get an acquaintance of hers, Mickey Keeler- a lotto winner - to visit him on the course. After a rigged match Mickey agrees to put up the money for Brian's venture.

The christening goes ahead with Brendan in attendance. The new priest manages to get through the ceremony in one piece and the village celebrates in Fitzgerald's (as usual!)
