Eamonn's nephew Danny is facing serious financial difficulties as he tries to raise the money to keep his horse, Razor with him in Dublin. He decides to enter the annual beach race but before he reaches the starting line, he runs into an enemy, Brian's partner in the golf club. They have a fight and Danny comes off badly. Emma Dillon offers to race the horse for him, but she is pipped at the post by Dr Ryan - Ireland's answer to Lester Piggot!

Orla decides that the priest's house is too small for both her and Aidan so she looks for alternative accomodation. She moves temporarily into the Garda's house but when an old enemy of Ambrose's throws a brick through the window she is forced to seek an alternative. The next option is to move in with Padraig and Kevin. But, this all turns sour when she realises that, although she enjoys Padraig's company, he is reading far more into their relationship than she wants him to. Padraig is hurt when he realises that Kevin was right and he has made a fool of himself.

Ambrose is becoming obsessed with catching a recently released drug dealer whom he put in prison and who is threatening his family and friends. This means that he is spending even less time at home with Niamh and Kieran and he blames Niamh for taking on Fitzgerald's.

Sean Dillon makes yet another wrong move when he buys Danny's horse for Emma's birthday.
