Louise Lombard in a interview......
'I really disapprove of the conditioning that makes women slaves to fashion. If you look at history you see that they've actually changed their bodies to suit different styles. And now, of course, people resort to surgery to turn themselves into some designer's idea of what looks good".
'I decided a long time ago that when it came to clothes it was the simpler the better for me I suppose wearing black underlines that idea. I hardly ever wear any other colour. Louise thinks that women Should dress comfortably 'It should be a woman's personality that draws your attention to her, not what she wears.'
"You might think it's easy for someone born with a model's face and figure to say this,
But Louise insists: 'There are all kinds of beauty, Fashion history proves that - one era's lovely is another era's ugly.'
History aside, her own background is very much family oriented.
Londoner Louise has three brothers and three sisters which, she feels, has kept her feet on the ground, despite her success.
'If ever I get gushy or above myself they just say, "Shut up Louise. you've had enough airtime".
That's a real leveller. At home I just get treated as the fifth youngest of a tribe - exactly what I am.'.
North London girl Louise's big break was playing the love conquest of Clive Owen's wheeler dealer Chancer in the eponymous hit thriller series.
She started chasing her Equity card at 16.
