SYNOPSIS
"She has a love nest at home and a
cuckoo's nest at work," read the ad for this short-lived comedy.
Paula
Russell went through two of life's great traumas on the same day, March
29th - getting married and starting a new job. The new hubby was Matt,
a young donut executive who came complete with a loud and somewhat jealous
teenage daughter named Sonia.
The job was that of producer of the soap
opera All Is Forgiven (yes, the same title as this series), providing a crew of
loony co-workers. Nicolette,
a spaced-out, syrupy transplanted Southern belle, was the head writer;
Wendell, the insecure director; Cecile, the pushy star who did everything
possible to make sure that no one usurped her status; Oliver, the talented
but unsure new member of the writing staff; Sherry, one of the production
assistants, and Lorraine, the receptionist/secretary who seemed to be eternally
preoccupied with her social life.
For
some reason, NBC repeated the premiere episode of this forgettable series as a
"special presentation" on August 23, 1986, two months after the
regular run had ended.
