SYNOPSIS
"Why doesn't someone stand up to all
the corruption in Beverly Hills?" read the ad. Next page: "he is standing
up!" Rocky
Nelson was a short detective, a former New York City undercover cop who
moved to Beverly Hills, where he got a job with an expensive private security
service for the rich and famous, while trying to break into acting. His
police experience certainly came in handy, though it did not endear him to
either his boss, Chester Long, or Det. Hamill of the Beverly Hills Police. Rocky was supposed to guard
bejeweled poodles
and manicured lawns, not solve crimes. However, he found that his short
stature allowed him to sneak into secret places and obtain clues, simply
because nobody took such a "little guy" seriously. Kurt and Beau were two of his fellow
guards at the Patrol - all muscle and no brains - and Annie was the
slightly daffy secretary at the office. Rocky liked the job mostly for the
contact it gave him with celebrities, including client and confidant Dean Martin.
Maybe one of them would give the little guy his big break?
