Club Hopping

You decide to keep running, for some reason hiding seems like a really -bad- idea. So, ignoring the stitch in your side you force yourself to keep moving. The wind seems to be howling, you can feel every muscle screaming at you to stop, but the fear is keeping you going.

'Fight or flight' reflex your brain offers up. Funny how the human brain likes to toss up useless facts from such places as eighth grade health when you're worried about important things…like dying! Then, just to prove how truly useless a panicked brain can be, yours offers up the, 'you should have stayed home and watched Nick at Nite,' opinion. But as that's in no way helpful, you ignore it and keep moving.

As you continue to run, you pass a telephone booth. You glare at it as you race past.

You dart around the corner and almost scream in joy, no more locked storefronts and empty warehouses. You have arrived back in civilization! Two lighted buildings cry out as safe havens to your tear filled eyes. You run down the side walk and decide which building to enter.
