Michael on Maurice Benard

Newcomer Michael Saucedo knows that the most important impression is the first one - especially when dealing with a heavyweight co-star like Maurice Benard.

"I made a point of meeting him and trying to get off on the right foot," notes Saucedo. "But he's so cool that it wasn't like a chore or anything. Maurice is great, and he's a wonderful actor. There are so many great actors on the show, and I get to work with one of the great ones right off the bat. It can be intimidating but it also makes me feel good because I know that when I go up there, Maurice is bringing the goods. My only choices are to drown or try to step up."
