1. When does it come on?
It used to be on Sundays at 8:30 eastern on FOX and then later on Mondays at 8:00 p.m. eastern. Now it comes on Tuesdays at 8-9:00 p.m. eastern. On 2/1/00 it will air on Mondays at 8-9:00 p.m. temporarily.
2. What year does it take place in? It took place in 1976 in the beginning but it is now 1977. It won't be '78 until the ending of season two according to Topher Grace.
3. Why is it called That 70's Show?
They couldn't get the rights to songs like 'Hooked on a Feelin' (and lots of other famous 70's song titles) I hear. They just started calling it That '70s Show and then kept the title.
4. Who is in it? Topher Grace - Eric Forman
Laura Prepon - Donna Pinciotti
Mila Kunis - Jackie Burkhardt
Ashton Kutcher - Michael Kelso
Danny Masterson - Steve Hyde
Wilmer Valderrama - Fez
Kurtwood Smith - Red Forman
Debra Jo Rupp - Kitty Forman
Don Stark - Bob Pinciotti
Tanya Roberts - Midge Pinciotti
Lisa Robin Kelly - Laurie Forman
Check the Episode Guide for guest star credits.
5. How old are they? Grace - 21
Prepon - 19
Kunis - 16
Kutcher - 21
Masterson - 23
Valderrama - 19
Lisa Robin Kelly - 23
6. Who does the show? Bonnie and Terry Turner, Carsey-Werner, and Caryn Mandabach.Terry Hughes and David Trainer have directed
7. Where is it filmed? In Los Angeles, California.
8. Where does it take pace? Point Place, Wisconsin. Point Place is fictional.
9. Where is Fez from? Like anyone cares...
10. Who does the theme song? It's written by Big Star and was remade for the show three times. Once for the first season, again for the theme song single and now it's done by Cheap Trick. For more info, go to the Theme Song section of this website.
11. When do they stop filming? They began filming new episodes July 30th and are well into the storylines for the new season besides already having filmed new shows that haven't aired yet. The second season will stop filming in March I think.
12. How many episodes have aired so far? 25 original ones for season one. Thirteen have aired for season 2 so far.
13. Why were the actors casted? They saw Topher Grace in a play and asked him to audition. It's pretty obvious really. Tons of girls auditioned for Donna but when they saw Laura Prepon on tape they decided she was the girl for the part.
Ashton Kutcher was seen in the hallway of a studio when going to an auditon for NBC's Wind on Water. They told him he wasn't funny so he went with That '70s Show. Good move. Danny Masterson already knew the creators from his stint on Roseanne.
14. What is the show's demographic? 18-49. But they are really popular with every demographic now. They were originally aiming for 12-17 but 18-49 year olds were their audience for the first season. According to the Washington Post, you have to be 30.5 or younger or you are too old to watch T7S. Soo stupid.
15. Is it realistic to the actual 70's? I wasn't alive then but not everyone is going to relate. No one has the same experiences as everyone else and I know that I don't relate to the new teen movies and TV of today. So I don't consider Clueless realistic compared to my own life just as Eric and co. don't relate to the Brady Bunch.
16. Are there any other fansites? Yup. Check the links page and you'll find some great sites. My favorites are That 70's Page of Grooviness, The One & Only Eric & Fez site, Eric Forman's Basement, Liquid Candy, The That '70s Show Transcript Domain, Fatso Burger, Eric & Donna, and the Eric and Buddy 'Shippers page.

If you ask for autographs, you'll get a picture with printed autographs on the back. It looks like this.
That's almost as great as a rubber stamped signature.Or, if you won't be too embarrassed Tiger Beat will forward your letter to the cast.

18. How popular is the show? It's doing very well now and is even #1 on Tuesday nights. The season premiere did horribly but of course it would if you don't promote the move at all and still leave it on it's old night as well. For the first season.. The first show had 12.6 million viewers, more than even The Simpsons, it's original lead-in. They ranked 49 overall for the 98-99 season. Some critics made the show out as a flop but it's the only non-animated new FOX show to succeed. The fanbase is pretty strong too. Well, the fanbase for the cast is really strong. The cast gets far more attention than the show does. The show actually gets almost no press and it's almost always only the cast which I find infuriating.
19. What happened to Bob's hair? He got a perm in it.
20. What bands have they played on the show? Check out the songs section of this site.
21. Has the show been canceled? No, it's now back on the air and 25 episodes were ordered for season 2.
22. When does the show come back on the air? It's back on the air now.
23. Who plays Laurie Forman? That would be Lisa Robin Kelly. She will be a regular cast member in season two. Check out Tales From a Kewpie Doll : The Laurie Forman Tribute that is on this site.
24. Where can I buy merchandise on the show? For stuff like T-shirts and caps, go here or here. If you are looking for the theme song or autographed pictures, Ebay sometimes has stuff for auction.
25. Was that Laura Prepon in the Semisonic music video? Yeah, I think so. I was told that the band said it wasn't her but then later they told someone else it was. The Lovely Laura Prepon page has pictures from the video that look like her so I guess it was.
26. Why didn't the "new" episodes pick up where 'A New Hope' left off? They are not actually new episodes just unaired episodes. They were filmed and meant to air at an earlier date but didn't for several reasons. Hyde will still be living at the Forman's. A New Hope was carried on into Hyde Moves In sorta but it's really hard to tell.
27. In what order were the episodes filmed? For Season One the order is :
Pilot
Eric's Birthday
Streaking
Battle of the Sexists
Sunday, Bloody , Sunday
Eric's Burger Job
The Keg
Drive-In
That Disco Episode
Thanksgiving
Career Day

28. When will we see Hyde's dad? I honestly have no idea. In the TV Guide chat with Danny Masterson last month, he said that he would probably make an appearance sometime in the future. He also said they tried to get Gary Oldman for the part. That would be cool but I think they should get Gary Sinise for the part. Gary Cole would be awesome too.
Laurie Metcalf would be the ideal Kelso mom in my humble opinion.29. Where can I find fanfic?
