Here's more of my filk opus, and finally one that isn't from the Gilbert
and Sullivan canon. It's a dark, twisted look into the complex mind of
a madman...OK, fine, it's another "Bohemian Rhapsody" filk. Enjoy! (And
forgive the crumminess of the operatic section.)
DUKAT:
Is this the real life
Or a delusion?
Why don't you say what you think of me, Benjamin?
Tell me the truth,
'Cause that I won't be denied,
(Or should I commit
Justifiable homicide?
And the voices come, voices go,
Some say yes, some say no...)
Why don't you tell me -- what do you really think of me,
Of me?
Damar just shot Ziyal,
When she told me she would stay,
Then Damar blew her away,
But although he fired the shot,
Ben Sisko was the one who forced his hand.
Sisko, oooh,
He's the one to blame,
Without him I would rule the Alpha Quadrant
And Bajor, and Bajor,
Just like old times again.
Inside a holding cell,
The doctors tell me I'm
Getting better all the time.
They're taking me away,
Gonna lock me up and throw away the key.
Sisko, oooh,
Tell me what you think --
You probably agree with Major Kira.
[Dukat's delusions of Weyoun, Damar, and Kira appear.]
I see a little silhouetto of Weyoun...
WEYOUN:
Gul Dukat, Gul Dukat,
You had better kill Sisko!
Screaming like a madman -- think he'd still respect you then?
DUKAT:
Captain Sisko, Captain Sisko,
Captain Sisko, Captain Sisko,
Captain Sisko, Benjamin,
I want to know-oh-oh-oh...
I was a soldier, doing what they told me.
DAMAR:
You are the man who'll lead us to glory!
Don't let him ruin your great victory!
DUKAT:
Voices come, voices go!
Will you let me know?
KIRA:
No, Elmo! No, he will not let you know!
DUKAT:
Let me know!
KIRA:
No, Elmo!
WEYOUN and DAMAR:
Don't ever let him go!
DUKAT:
Let me know!
KIRA:
No, Elmo! He will not let you know!
DUKAT:
Let me know!
WEYOUN and DAMAR:
Never let him go!
DUKAT (over the preceding):
Captain Sisko, will you ever let me know?
WEYOUN, DAMAR, and KIRA:
No, no, no, no, no, no, no!
DUKAT:
Captain Sisko, Captain Sisko--
KIRA:
He's defeated you, you know!
He's going back, and they all are gonna laugh at you, at you, at
yoooouuuu!
DUKAT:
You thought you could betray me and say that you've won?
Well, you'll soon see the carnage has barely begun!
Oh Benjamin, can't do this to me Benjamin,
Just gotta wipe out, just gotta wipe out all Bajor.
They thought they had problems?
Wait until they see
They've not seen the last,
They've not seen the last of me...
Bajor is dead now...

Killing care and grief of heart
Fall asleep, or, hearing, die."
