"Hi, my name's Reg."
"Hi, Reg."
"I'm a holodeck addict."
Sympathy and encouragement from all around.
"I've been real for three weeks now."
A smattering of applause.
Barclay smiled. "Thanks. I'm... I'm still taking things one day at a
time, but I'm coping better every day. I really value your support,
all of you. I couldn't do it on my own."
This support group was amazingly helpful. Barclay sometimes wondered
whether this was the right approach; but anything that made him feel
this good must be right.
He checked the time. Lunch with Hope in five minutes.
