EARTH'S ORBITAL SPACEDOCK, 2372
The Enterprise-E was still under construction. Its new Captain, James
Kirk, was checking out the holodeck, in the company of Commander Data.
They were joined by Reg Barclay.
"Data, have they're been any malfunctions on the new holodeck?"
"No, Reg. It has performed without incident."
"Good to hear. I wanted this one to go right, so badly. If there are no
flubs, I just might get posted here again."
All three then walked off the holodeck. Barclay turned and looked at
Kirk.
"Oh, this will never do."
Bodily, Reg grabbed and threw a stunned Jim Kirk back onto the
holodeck.
"Boy, Data! That Kirk hologram nearly de-rezzed itself. Lucky for it I
was here."
Data stared at his Captain's jumbled form. The returned hero did not
look happy at all.
"Reg...about that posting...."
