Author's Note: Hewwo! *chuckles* This is Sonic's younger and cuter..
[Sonic] KELLY! [Kelly] *giggles* ..sister! -BACK TO REALITY- Hey
all! This is Kelly, a devoted fan of Robert Brown and Francis
Tolbert (Hey guys! If you're reading this!). Their disclaimer and
Author's Note seemed like a sensible idea, so I am using it too. Not
stealing it, merely honoring the idea. Umm, I do hope you enjoy my
stories, they are original, or as original as I can make them, and not
as long as Robert and Francis', but I'm working on that. Oh yes, if
you're wondering, I was one of the two people Sonic's sister was
named after. *nodnod*
Anyway, all characters that belong to myself, are marked
with triple caret signs (^^^), like Robert and Francis do with
Isabela and Lydia, who are mine as well. I like how things are moving
along with their stories, and I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of Story
#28. Prasing them enough? Hardly. They are wonderful and creative
writers who I am glad I met. E-mail met, actually. Well, enjoy the
story, and I'll be bringing you my series soon enough. I just need
to get this one out. It will help everyone understand the series
better, call it a icebreaker. Sayanora!

Antoine was a fox, a normal fox with normal feelings.
For mostof his adolescent life, he had lived in Knothole, and
had been named a coward by a lot of his friends, and he knew
he was one, only because he had no one to protect. Not even Sally.
His "so-called" Princess. He loved her, but only as a friend. He
knew Sonic loved her the way she deserved. He was glad she had
someone like that. He wondered what it would be like when she
ascended to the throne, with Sonic as their King. But Antoine
never felt complete, never felt whole. Not anymore.. not without
HER. He let out a heavy, burdened sigh, he didn't even hear the
door open, or the icy wind blast as it was forced shut. It was
winter, just around the time of year he left, they were pulled
apart, this time of year always makes him recall...
"ANT!" Sonic screamed for about the fifth time, pulling
him out of his daze. Antoine jumped and blinked, then he sighed
as he saw Sonic, what did he want?
"Yo Ant," Sonic said as he tapped his foot, his
impatience was beginning to show. "Sal wants us all in the
War Room."
"So?" Antoine asked as simply as the word flowed from
his lips. Sonic's eyes widened a bit at his response.
"Ant, what's up?" Sonic knew Antoine was devoted, to
anything and everything Sally told him to do or told him about.
"Eet eez winter, Sonic." Anotine replied, Sonic
rolled his eyes. Antoine's always afraid he'll get plowed down
with a few snowballs.
"Ant, no one'll hit ya with a snowball." Sonic tried to
sound reassuring, but by the sharpness of his tone, it was easily
seen he was becoming agitated.
"Eet eez not zat, Sonic. I seem to be remembering a
upsetting time about zis time." Antoine sighed as he watched the
floor. Sonic's attention was grabbed at this.
"Alright, Ant. Now this is serious. What's up?" Sonic
asked, he had no choice but to pry, and he knew Sally would be
getting agitated if she had to wait any longer.
"A long time ago, just before we got here, I met someone..
her name was Gypsy. Even if we were young.. we knew we were meant
for one another.. when we left.. eet was winter, and we never got
to say goodbye.." Antoine's voice was chocked with emotion, and
right now, Sonic actually felt sympathetic for Antoine.
"Ant, I'm sorry. I know I'd feel terrible if somethin'
like that happened to me and Sal. Stay here, Ant. I'll tell Sal
you're not feelin' up to the meetin'." Sonic said as Antoine simply
nodded, his eyes flooding with tears, as the wind blasted into the
room, it made the tears glisten, and they actually shattered as they
fell to the floor, and with a hard slamming of the door, there was
silence.

In a cave, not too far from Knothole, a good few miles to
be exact, there lived the family of the Laurets. Or what could be
condoned so. Gypsy Lauret, a lovely chestnut and creme colored
mouse with soft violet eyes and lovely golden blonde hair. Her
brother, Gregory, who was chestnut, and had black hair, along with
blue eyes. Her father, Andrew, had creme color fur, chestnut hair
and blue eyes. Gypsy resembled her mother, who was sad to say
Roboticized and now dead. The toxic waste her robotic covering had
made, killed her.
Gypsy kept on recalling the fox who had ruptured her
thoughts from day one, Antoine. She was of age now, and she could
leave if she wanted, she sighed. She didn't want to abandon her
family, however. She wanted to see if he was still alive, however.
She'd love him even if he was roboticized. Love had no boundaries,
and as he decision became clear, she approached her father.
"Father?" She bade softly, he was setting the table for
lunch, Gregory was playing outside.
"Yes, Gypsy?" He said as he looked up to her. He seemed
so fragile, she didn't know if she could do this. Looking her
father square in the eyes, she was not going to hold back
anything.
"Father, I want to find Antoine." She stood there, not
moving, as her father froze, and he stood to face her.
"What?" His voice has a dark, icy edge to it.
"It's been eight long years, father. I'm of age where I
can fend on my own. You and Gregory--" She begins, but is cut off
by her father.
"You DEGRATE. How dare you think of yourself at this
time in your life. You would just up and leave us like this?" His
voice is a angry snarl. Gypsy grew more scared.
"No, I thought this through very--"
"GET OUT!! YOU ARE NO DAUGHTER OF MINE IF YOU WOULD DO
THIS AND CONSIDER IT REASONABLE!! GET OUT, YOU GODDAMNED DEGRATE!!"
He swore at her and raised his hand to slap her, but she moved in
time, grabbing her bag, tears flooding her eyes, hazing her view as
she ran from the Cave, hot tears stinging and shutting down her
thoughts as she made her way far from that cave. Her brother only
watched as his dad came out of the cave, fuming, boiling with rage.
His breathing quick and tempered. Gregory looked up timidly at his
dad, moments later, his father spoke sternly.
	"Do you want lunch?"
	"Yes."
	"It's ready, come inside."
	"Dad?"
	"Yes?"
"Where did Gypsy go?" A long pause.
	"Home."
Gregory was confused, but he shrugged and went inside,
following his father, who just before he disappeared into the
darkness of the cave, sighed, shook his head, and walked slowly
inside.

Bunnie was teaching Antoine some more Kung-Fu in her
Dojo, but Antoine wasn't paying that much attention. She
sighed as Antoine missed the Robotnik dummy again.
"Sugarfox, ya'll is not payin' any 'ttention tonight.
What's corrupted you?" Bunnie asked, her southern accent
obvious. Antoine sighs.
"Could we be doing zis some other night, Bunnie?"
Antoine murmured softly.
"Sure thang, sugarfox." Bunnie said, a look of
concern upon her face as he walked out. Tails flew in as
Antoine left, he looked to Bunnie, the look of concern still
upon her face.
	"Bunnie? What's wrong?" Tails asked.
"Somethan's wrong with sugarfox. It's really bad."
Bunnie said softly as they both stood there, a bit perplexed.
Sally sighed as Nicole continued to beep, she awaited
Nicole's answer to her question.
"Chances of that within your lifetime are slim to
none, Sally." Nicole said as Sally closed her. Rotor and Dulcy
watched her walk back to her hut, her head hung slightly.
"Slim to none?" Dulcy asked, her voice so very
disbelieving.
"...chances of her becoming Queen. We have GOT to
change that." Rotor said, determined. Dulcy only nodded, the
shock on both their faces equal.

Snively tapped the control board, reading what it said
as Robotnik entered the room, in his large green sitting chair,
watching the monitors.
"Snively!" He barked. Snively looked to Robotnik.
	"Yes, sir?"
"Have you found them yet?" Robotnik snarled.
"Yes, yes sir. The SWATbots chased them out of Robotropolis."
Snively was almost proud of his answer.
"WHAT?!" Robotnik screeched angrily, he glared his red
eyes on Snively.
	"But sir--"
"YOU BUMBULING IDIOT! YOU LET THEM ESCAPE! IF THEY HAVE
IT, WE'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO ASSURE ALL ROBOTICIZED CITIZENS REMAIN SO!"
Robotnik growled as Snively just shook in fear. He swallowed as he
called all the SWATbots in to check them.

Knuckles sighs as he finds two unconscious figures close
to Knothole, looking them over, he knew who they were, suddenly,
he heard SWATbots laser fire and looked behind him, seeing a mouse
running for her life as she made her way through the forest.
"GET DOWN! GET DOWN!" Gypsy called to Knuckles as he and
she jumped out of the way as the hoover units shot at them and
they fell into a pile of leaves. They were well covered and the
SWATbots soon left, the hoover units humming off into the distance.
Gypsy winced as she recalled the shot that got her in the arm.
Knuckles looked to her.
"I saw you coming," He said as he stood, taking her by
the good arm and helping her up. "But thank you for trying to
save my life, it was obvious they would try to take me down as
well." Knuckles smiled a bit as he looked to the two on the ground.
One of them had sand-colored fur, and a mass of raven hair, her
eyes were green. The other had golden fur, a mass of the same color
hair, and his eyes were blue.
"Who are they?" Gypsy asked as she for a moment, forgot
about the pain in her arm.
"D'Coolette." Was all Knuckles muttered, then he looked
to Gypsy.
"We'd better have that looked at. Oh, I suppose it would
be nice of me if you knew my name. It's Knuckles Enchida." Knuckles
said as Gypsy nodded.
"We'd better get them checked too. I'm Gypsy Lauret." Gypsy
said as Knuckles walked over, picking up the female fox, she moaned
in pain as he did so.
"Well, too bad proper introductions couldn't be arranged.
About twenty meters ahead is a hut. We'll put them in there. The
occupants shall more than merely oblige." Knuckles spoke as Gypsy
picked up the male, he released the same moan of pain, and she
carried him, following Knuckles. When they arrived, Knuckles kicked
the door open, surprising Sally, Bunnie, and Rosie as they carried
the two injured foxes in, Gypsy was slower, due to her arm.
As soon as Knuckles laid the female down, he helped Gypsy
with the male and had her sit down in a nearby chair. Rosie walked
over to Gypsy.
"What happened child?" She asked softly.
"Those two... were unconscious... when we found them...
I... got... attacked... by SWATbots..." Gypsy bit down on her lip,
as the pain caught up with her.
"Presumingly, these two were attacked in the same nature."
Knuckles said as he watched Gypsy.
"I could have been harmed myself, but thanks to Gypsy here,
I wasn't." Knuckles added.
"Rosie can you...?" Sally began, but she saw Rosie's eyes
had tears in them.
	"Rosie-gal, you alright?" Bunnie asked.
"Yes, I'm fine," She murmured softly, wiping her eyes.
"I just was thinking of someone who could do this better than I."
Rosie whispered as she began to heal Gypsy, when she was done, she
looked at the scar it left, and she then looked to the other two.
"Who are they?" She asked quietly.
"I do believe they are General Pierre D'Coolette and his
wife, Lysette." Knuckles said simply, looking to Sally.
"Wait a second... did you say... D'Coolette? As in..."
Sally began, her eyes went to the door.
"...my parents?" Antoine asked in shock, Gypsy's head
flew up as she heard that familiar voice. Her eyes must be
decieving her.
"Ant...oine?" She could barely speak his name, too in
shock, Antoine turned on his heels to look to the one who spoke
his name. His eyes widened even more.
"Gypsy... I thought for sure you were..." He was going
to say "dead", but he was far too in shock, he just stood there
as Rosie healed his parents as best she could. Gypsy AND his
parents here? This was surely a dream. Moaning in pain once more,
Antoine's mother awoke.
"...Pierre?" She asked softly, looking around, nothing
was familiar, her french accent sounding confused.
"Easy Lysette, he's right next to you." Rosie said
softly as she put a hand on her shoulder.
"You're safe now... Mother." Antoine said as Lysette's
eyes widened at the word. She looked to the fox who spoke it.
"Antoine? My son...Antoine?" She whispered softly as
tears flooded her eyes, she tried to stand to hug him, but her
body was stiff. Antoine moved to her and hugged him.
"Pierre... wake up." Lysette called softly as he
awakened slowly, his reaction to seeing Antoine the same as
Lysette's, and they all hugged. Knuckles then approached once
more.
"I hate to intrude, but this is important. You two have
the chip, correct?" Knuckles asked. Pierre shook his head.
"It was blasted out of my hands and into a million
pieces." Pierre sighed as everyone looked to them in confusion.
"The chip that allows us to reverse the mind-control
Robotnik has on citizens that have been Roboticized." Pierre said,
they all sighed, realizing it had now been destroyed. Antoine
walked over to Gypsy, who could only do one thing: she kissed him
full on the lips.
Moments later, it was broken. The silence in the hut was
frightening. Gypsy was the first to speak.
"I came back. I missed you too much, Antoine. It took me
a might too long to realize this. I even lost my family for you.
My father disowned me even. He called me a degrate." She whispered.
"Gypsy... you did this... for me?"
"I love you, Antoine." Gypsy's eyes were shining with
the purest and truest love, love for him alone.
"You know I feel the same... oh Gypsy... will you marry me?"
Antoine asked, it shocked them all, even himself.
"...no." Gypsy whispered, but before anyone could protest,
she continued.
"I do love you that much, Antoine. But we've been apart
eight long years. I think we should take the time to make up for
whatever time we lost. Then, we'll see about getting married."
Gypsy smiled. Everyone seemed to think this was a fine idea.
"Mother, father... this is Gypsy. My love." Antoine
smiled and kissed her cheek softly.
"It's lovely to meet you, Gypsy." They both said and
smiled, and as they all talked and met, Antoine felt a undying
devotion flare in his heart that told him things were going to
be different.
