The first call Liz makes is to Audrey.Audrey: (in a frantic voice) Hello!
Liz: Hi Gram, it's Elizabeth.
Audrey: Oh, Elizabeth, where are you?
Liz: I am sorry for making you worry, Gram, But I needed to be alone...with Lacey
Audrey: Are you ok?
Liz: Yes, I'm fine
Audrey: Why didn't you tell me where you were going?
Liz: Gram, I just need to be alone for a while, nothing against you I just really miss Lucky and I want some time alone with our daughter.
Audrey: When will you be back?
Liz: (pause) I don't know...soon...I'll be in touch, Gram...Oh, and Gram, can you do me a favor?
Audrey: Anything.
Liz: Can you tell Luke and Laura and Em and Nikolas for me that I am ok? I don't want them to worry.
Audrey: Ok.
Liz: I have to go...goodbye, Gram.
Audrey: Eliza...
Liz hung up the phone before Audrey could stop her. She hated lying to her, but she did not want her to be in any danger. Liz knew she was supposed to call Luke and Laura, but after talking to Audrey she was too upset and she did not think she could do that again.
Liz walked back into the bedroom and Sonny was in the rocking chair holding Lacey in his arms. She was asleep. Liz walked over to them.
Liz: She likes you.
Sonny: Well, I like her...Did you make your calls?
Liz: Yeah, just to Gram, I asked her if she would call Luke and Laura. I hated lying to her.
Sonny: I know, but she will know what is going on when the time is right.
Liz: Yeah.
Sonny: Well, this little angel is down for the count.
Sonny got up from the chair and gently laid Lacey down in her crib.
Sonny: Why don't you try to get some sleep? We have a long flight ahead of us.
Liz: Ok. I am tired.
Sonny: Go in the other room where Lucky slept last night so you can sleep. I'll look after the baby
Liz: Are you sure?
Sonny: I'm happy to do it.
Liz: Thanks.
Liz kisses Sonny on the cheek and goes into the other room and gets on the bed. She can still smell Lucky on the sheets and the pillows. She holds one of the pillows close to her and she drifts off to sleep.
