The next day, Liz got up and got dressed. She knew she had to tell someone. She chose to tell someone who had been with her other than Lucky every step of the way, since day one. Liz made her way to GH and found Bobbie.Liz: Hi, Bobbie.
Bobbie: Well, hi, Liz.
Liz: Can we go somewhere and talk?
Bobbie: Sure.
Liz and Bobbie went into Monica's office. She was in surgery, so Bobbie knew they would be ok to use her office and they would not be bothered.
Bobbie: What's up?
Liz: Dr. Long called yesterday with my results.
Bobbie: Oh.
Liz: They were negative.
Bobbie: Liz, that is so wonderful.
Bobbie hugs Liz.
Liz: Telling me that I was HIV negative was not all Dr. Long had to tell me.
Bobbie: What else?
Liz: This is so hard.....Bobbie, Dr. Long told me that...I'm pregnant...with Lucky's child.
Bobbie was stunned.
Bobbie: Oh, sweetheart.
Bobbie wrapped her arms around Liz and held her as Liz cried in her arms.
Liz: I have not been feeling well and it dawned on me when the nurse asked if I could be pregnant. Bobbie, we were only together once.
Bobbie: Well, Liz, once is all it takes.
Liz: I know, and I could understand that if we did not use protection, but we did. Lucky wore a condom.
Bobbie: Contraceptives are not always 100% effective, and because you were not on birth control it made the chances of you getting pregnant higher. How do you feel about this?
Liz: I am so confused, but I know this baby is part of Lucky. We created this life together. It's all I have left of him. (crying)
Bobbie: Elizabeth, I know how you felt about Lucky. But you're only 16--can you see yourself raising a child?
Liz: I don't know, but I know I have to. This baby is mine and Lucky's. I am keeping this child, Bobbie.
Bobbie: Have you told your grandmother?
Liz: No, I don't know how. Emily is the only one who knows. I have to tell Luke and Laura. Bobbie, how do I do that?
Bobbie: You'll know how. Look, Liz, anything you need I'm here. I will help you and support you in any way I can.
Liz: Thanks.
Bobbie: Well, you are are carrying my great niece or nephew.
Liz and Bobbie said goodbye, and Liz went home to wait for her grandmother to come home. Liz knew she had to tell her.
