Memories Revisited - Chapter 20

Lucky stood in his dressing room across the hall from Liz with Luke, Nikolas, and Dylan. Nikolas was Lucky's best man and Lucky was so nervous. "You have the rings man?"

"For the tenth time in 20 minutes, yes I have the rings, Lucky relax."

"I'm sorry I know I should be calm, I am marring Elizabeth after all."

"Exactly cowboy." Said Luke.

"It's just I am so scared, I mean my marriage with Pam failed and I just want to make this right, Elizabeth has been threw so much."

"Cowboy, your marriage with Pam ended because you were not in love with her, but I know and so do you that you love Liz with all your heart."

"I know I do. Okay relax."

Lucky stood in front of the mirror as Nikolas pinned on his boutonniere. "There you go, you look good bro."

"Thanks."

Dylan walked over to Lucky and tugged on his jacket. Lucky bent down to Dylan's level. "What's up champ?"

"Thank you for saving us."

"Oh Dylan come here." Lucky sat up on the chair and picked Dylan up to sit on his lap. "You, your mommy, Gabby, and Lauren are everything to me. I love you all and I will do everything in my power to keep us safe and warm because after today we are going to be a family."

"A real family with no yelling and no hitting?"

"I promise you we WILL be a real family with none of that."

"Lucky?"

"Yeah champ"

"Is it okay if I call you daddy?"

Tears formed in Lucky's eyes as well as Luke's and Nikolas'. "I would like that very much son."

"Well then I guess that means I'm your grandpa." Luke took the little boy from Lucky's lap and out him on his shoulders. Dylan laughed as well as Luke.

Nikolas walked over to Lucky. "Congratulations man."

"Thanks, now what do you say we get me married?"

"Yayyyyy" Dylan cheered. "Marry my mommy now."

"You got it, Dad you want to go get Elizabeth and we'll meet you at the altar?"

"Absolutely cowboy."

Lucky, Nikolas, and Dylan left the room and headed to the church to greet the guests and await the arrival of the bride.

Luke walked across the hall opened the door to Liz's dressing room and smiled when he saw all the women looking in the mirror. "So sorry to interrupt this womanly moment, but there is a wedding to be had."

All of the woman turned around to look at Luke. Laura walked over to him and kissed him on the cheek. "How's Lucky doing."

"He's anxious for his bride."

Liz smiled at Luke. "Well let's not keep him waiting." She walked over to Luke and took a hold of his arm. "Lead the way."

"You got it Darlin'."
