Reclaiming Forever - Epilogue

by: Rebekah

"The next morning Mommy started planning your new murals and then she made you go shopping with her for your new clothes." Six year old Lorenzo Steven Spencer says quickly.

Not to be outdone, Leslie Elizabeth Spencer said, "And she moved in on Christmas right after the wedding". She may be two years younger but she knew the story as well as her brother.

Lucky and Elizabeth look at their children and then at each other. They remember their shock when Audrey gave consent for them to be married. Of course she couldn't resist the Spencer charm or deny her Granddaughter's happiness. They smile at the memory of their first months as husband and wife. The little room above Kelly's was their haven from the world. Elizabeth's murals had made the place feel like home even before she moved in officially. She had spent many nights there just because she couldn't sleep without Lucky holding her. Then after the wedding when she had moved in it was wonderful.

"It was the best wedding ever and NSYNC did perform, like Grandpa promised. That’s how you became friends with them."

That’s right sweetie. Lucky says. Then Elizabeth continues the story…

It was perfect; there were candles and white roses everywhere. Everyone cried, but

But they were the happy kind, like the ones you cried the first time in the church, on Valentine's Day or when daddy sings your song.

Exactly.

Lucky and Elizabeth both remember the joyful tears they cried on their wedding day. They also remember making love for the first time on their wedding night, how perfect it was, how sacred. Then spending Christmas with his family, they didn't need a honeymoon, just each other. After the holidays they had spent a few days at the cabin though so they could be truly alone.

Then a few months later we moved to New York so your mommy could go to art school.

And your daddy took some music composition classes and started writing songs with JC.

And everyone still wants your paintings and daddy's songs because they

are the best, the best there is.

But you didn't stay in New York you moved back to Port Charles after you graduated and had us.

And spent the last six years trying to get you to go to bed on time.

Do we have to? Lorenzo and Les ask together.

Yes, it's late and you need your rest, both of you.

Ok, goodnight

Goodnight

Dreams of Gold

We love you.

With that the children crawl out of their parent's bed and walk out of their parent's room and into their own rooms. They know mommy and daddy will be there soon to hug and kiss them goodnight and tuck them in. As they leave Lucky pulls Elizabeth into his arms and says…

I can't believe they've heard that story a million times and it's still their favorite.

I can because they know it's our favorite too. It's our happy ending.

No baby, it's our happy beginning.

Lucky kisses is wife and starts to deepen it before he hears "Daddy." They pull apart and get out of bed. Lucky wraps his arm around her waist as they walk to their children's rooms knowing they'll want to hear the story again, the story of their parents reclaimed forever.

THE END
