A Second Once In A Lifetime - Chapter 5

Ryan: Liz where were you?

Liz: I just went for a morning walk

Ryan: is there something wrong?

Liz: why would you think that?

Ryan: because ever since we got here you have been distant....from me

Liz: I am just upset my grandmother just died and her funeral is today......Look I am fine ok

Ryan: Ok....i'll be down stairs

Ryan left and Liz sat doen on her bed. She did not like lying to him but she could not tell him the real reason she was upset.

Later that day everyone in Port Charles gathered at Mt. Herbron Baptist Church for Audreys funeral. When Liz got there with her parents and Ryan she was floored by them memories she and Lucky had shared in that church, Their valentines day vows came back to her.

**Flashback Feb. 14, 1999**

You have my heart that's a permenate lock. Everything I am is in love with you. My mind, my soul, my body, my spirit, and that will never change. I pledge my self to you Lucky today forever.

Back to present with Liz staring off into space.

Ryan: Hey what are you thinking about?

Liz: Oh nothing (she lied again)

Just then Lucky walked up with Meg and his mother. Laura walked up to Liz and hugged her. Liz always felt like a daughter to her.

Laura: How are you?

Liz: ok i guess

Laura: I'm sorry about audrey. How long are you here?

Liz: Just for a few more days until we get grams things taken care of.

Laura: Maybe before you leave we can have lunch and catch up?

Liz: i'd like that

Laura then leaves to go into the church and Ryan and Liz are standinf accross from Lucky and Meg.

Ryan: i'm sorry we havent met. I am Ryan Mansfield, Liz's boyfriend.

Lucky was shocked to hear that. Now he knew how Liz fet this morning. Those words ripped through his heart.

Lucky: I'm Lucky Spencer..... and this is my girlfriend Meg Fantine.

Ryan: Nice to meet you. How do you know liz

Lucky: Oh well umm.....we knew each other in high school

Lucky could not believe he just said that. Niether could Liz. Liz and Lucky just staired at each other. Meg and Ryan could tell there was tension between these two who only knew each other in high school. They both knew there was something more.

Ryan: we should go in

Liz: yeah

Ryan and Liz walked away from Meg and Lucky. They went to go sit down. Meg and Lucky sat on the opposite end of the church. While sitting in that church Lucky remembered valentines day

Back to present the funeral ended everyone had left but Liz. She told her parent and Ryan she just wanted to be alone and to go home without her. Liz sat in the curch for a while and then she heard the door open. She looked up and it was Lucky.
