BACKROUND:  The date is May of 2000.  Liz is a senior in high school along
with Emily and Juan.  Liz and Nikolas are just friends.  Lucky has been gone
for over a year.

CHAPTER 1

Kelly's is closed and Liz is sitting at a table refilling the sugar jars.  He
mind is wondering and she does not realize that the sugar is overflowing.
Just then there is a knock on the door and Liz snaps out of her trance to see
the sugar all over the table and the floor.

Liz:  Damn it! (She looks up at the door to see Emily)  Hang on I'll be right
there.  (she runs to unlock the door)  Sorry I spilled sugar everywhere.

Em:  thats ok, here let me help you clean it up.

Liz:  thanks

They both have the sugar cleaned up in no time and then sit down at the table.

Liz:  So what are you doing here so late?

Em:  Oh well I wanted to talk to you about something.

Liz:  Ok whats up?

Em:  (smiling) Ok well it's May of our senior year and you know what that
means right?

Liz:  What?

Em: (shocked)  What do you mean what?  Did you forget?

Liz:  Em am I missing something?

Em:  Liz.....our prom, it's in two weeks

Liz:  (sad look) Right, I did not really forget.  I have just been trying not
to think about it.

Em:  Becuase of Lucky?

Liz:  (a single tear fell down her cheek)  I always dreamed about going to
the prom with Lucky.  We talked about it a few times.  It was something we
were looking forward to doing together, it being our first formal together.
I....I think I am going to skip it Em.

Em:  Oh Liz....you cant miss your own prom.  I know it might be hard, but if
I ever knew one thing about Lucky its that he never wanted to see anyone in
pain especially because of him.  I think he would want you to go and besides
you promised we  would double date and pick out our dresses together

Liz:  Em that was before.....things are different now.

Em:  Yeah things are different.  Lucky is gone and I know you still love him
and miss him.  I miss him to, but you're still here and he would not want you
to stop living your life.

Liz:  Em....

Em:  Pleeeeeeaaaaaase

Liz:  Dont beg Em, its not becoming of you.  (takes a deep breath) Ok fine,
but I am only doing this for you.

Em:  you'll go?

Liz:  Yeah I'll go

Em:  (gets up from the table and hugs Liz)  Oh Liz you are the best and you
wont regreat this.

Liz:  Yeah well you remeber that I am the best.  But Em there is just one
problem.

Em:  What?

Liz:  I dont have a date.

Em:  Why dont you ask Nikolas.  I am sure he would love to take you and
besides I dont think he has ever been to a prom.

Liz:  Yeah I guess I could ask Nikolas.

Em:  Great!  How about tomorrow afternoon we go dress shopping?

Liz:  Ok umm why dont you meet me here around 1PM

Em:  see you them

Emily leaves Kelly's and Liz locks the door behind her.  She goes back over
to the table and as she gazes at her ring she wonders what she just got
herself into

CHAPTER 2

The next morning Liz called Nikolas and asked him to meet her at Kelly's.
Nikolas was already there waiting for Liz when she showed up.

Liz:  Hey, sorry I'm late

Nik:  That's ok, so what did you want to ask me?

Liz:  Well Emily is holding me to a promise that I made over a year ago.  Our
senior prom is coming up in two weeks and I promised Em we would double date.
 I was wondering if you would lke to go with me....... as my date?.

Nik:  I am assuming you dont really want to go.

Liz:  Not really.  Lucky and I ....always talked about going together.  I was
just kind of hoping I could sleep through it, but Emily remeinded me of my
promise and she wont let me off the hook.  So...will you go with me?

Nik:  Sure, I would love to go with you.

Liz:  Thanks Nikolas.

About an hour later Emily and Liz went dress shopping.

Liz:  So where should we go first?

Em:  Lets start off big, lets go to Whyndams.

Liz's heart samk as soon as that word left Emily's lips.  She tried to fight
back her tears.

Liz:  Whyndams?

Em:  Yeah is that Okay?

Liz:  yeah sure.

Liz and Em arrived at Whyndams and headed straight for the formal dress
department.  The same sales lady that helped Liz pick out her Valentine's day
dress was still there.

Estella:  What can I help you with today.

Em:  Umm we're looking for prom dresses

Estella:  Okay this way (looking at Liz)  Hey I remember you,  You were here
umm god it must have been over a year ago.  You were with your boyfriend and
he was buying you a dress for a special occassion right?

Liz was shocked and Emily could have hit herself, how could she forget that
this is where Lucky took Liz for her dress.

Liz:  Umm thats right.

Estella:  So how was that special occasion?

Liz:  Very nice

Estella:  You know when I first saw you two I could see how much in love you
were.  Is her here with you today?

Em:  Umm could you please just show us to the dresses?

Estella:  Oh yeah sure....this way.

The girls followed Estella to the dresses and then Estella went to help other
customers.

Em:  Liz I am so sorry.  I cant believe I forgot about this place.  Why
didn't you remeind me?  We could have gone somewhere else.

Liz:  Em, I'm fine really.  Now lets find a dress

After about an hour Liz and Emily both found dresses.  Emily's was a full
length strapless silver dress and Liz's dress was pale peach with a fitted
bodice that has thin shoulder straps.  The skirt part flaired out and feel to
her ankles.  The girls then found shoes and bags.  After they were all done
Emily drove Liz home.

Em: you sure you're ok?

Liz;  Yeah I'm fine.  I'll see you tomorrow at school.

Liz got out of the car and went into her house.  Once in her bedroom Liz hung
her dress up in her closet and then laid down on her bed clutching Lucky's
shirt as she sobbed.

CHAPTER 3  ~two days before the prom~

~at a bus station~
Announcer:  Last boarding call for bus #325 to Port Charles New York

A young man about 18 years old wearing a long over coat, a hat, and
sunglasses baorded the bus.  He sat at the back of the bus so no one would
notice him.  A few hours later the bus arrived in Port Charles.  The man got
off the bus and found himslef on the docks.  He took off his sunglasses and
was flooded with memries of the town, his family, and the love of his life.
How he wanted to hold her again.  He quickly realized that he needed to get
help.  He made his way to Luke's club.  Once at the club which was closed he
put his sunglasses back on and knocked on the office door.

Luke:  yeah come in ( The man entered the office)  Can I help you

Man:  Dad?

Luke froze at the sound of his voice.  It cant be

Luke:  Lucky?

Lucky:  yeah dad it's me. (he took his hat and sunglasses off and staired at
his father)

Luke:  Oh my god, is it reall you cowboy?

Lucky:  In the flesh

Without words the two men ran into each other's arms and held each other
never wanting to let go.  Finally they pulled apart.

Luke:  How is this possible?  You're supposed to be dead.

Lucky:  I'll explain everything.

Lucky told Luke everything about the fire and Fasion.  He told him about thre
last year of his life and all that Fasion has done.  Lucky told Luke how he
managed to escape and how Fasion was dead.  He was killed accidently by one
of his own men.

Luke:  I cant belive all you went through.

Lucky:  Dad how is everyone?  Mom and Elizabeth?

Luke:  Your mother is okay, she is srating to get her life back together but
she misses you.  Liz on the other hand is still in complete devestation over
losing you.  She says she is ok but I can see she is not.  You know the
senior prom is in two days.

Lucky:  yeah I know and I have an idea.

Lucky informed Luke of his idea and then Luke called Laura, Emily, and
Nikolas and asked them to come to his office.  Laura was the first to arrive
and she and Lucky shared a tearful reunion and then shortly after that Emily
and Nikolas arrived.  Emily was so happy to see her best frined alive and
Nikolas could not believe he was seeing his brother.  The two brothers hugged
and tears feel from their eyes.

Lucky and Luke let the three of them in on Lucky's plan and Emily and Nikolas
were more than willing to help.

Lucky:  Ok so go on with your plans for the prom as planned and I'll handle
the rest.  Elizabeth is going to get the prom she always dreamed of.

CHAPTER 4 ~prom night~

It is the morning of the prom and Lucky was home in his parents house
thinking about later that night.  It was killing him knowing he has been back
for two days and he has not been able to see Elizabeth.  As he is thinking
Luke walks into the room.

Luke:  Hey cowboy thinking about tonight?

Lucky:  Yeah.....I guess I am just really nervous

Luke:  Why?  Aren't you excited to see Liz again?

Lucky:  Are you kidding?  That is all I dreamed about for the last year.
it's the only thing that kept me going.

Luke:  Then what is the problem son?

Lucky:  I...I just dont want to scare her and I guess I am not sure if she
still loves me.

Luke:  Lucky the girl loves you, she never stopped.  She has not been herself
since....well you know.  Trust me you have nothing to worry about.

Lucky:  Thanks dad....I'm going to go upstairs and call Nikolas to make sure
everything is set for tonight.

Lucky dashes up the stairs to his room and calls Nikolas.  Everything is
going according to plan.

CHAPTER 5

Liz is in her room sitting at her vanity doing her make up.  She has her
radio on and she almost pokes herself in the eye with the masczara wand when
she hears the song come over the airways.

Liz could feel all her hard work on her make up fade away as she started to
cry.  Black tears streamed down her face.

Liz had here face in her hands and she was crying uncontrolably.

As soon as the song ended, Liz abruptly turned her radio off and went to sit
on her bed.

Liz:  Lucky..... oh Lucky (still crying)  I need you so much.  I need to come
back to me and wrap your arms around me and tell me everything is going to be
alright.  I need you to love me again.  I miss you so much Lucky.  I miss you
and I love you.

After a few minutes Liz regained her composure and went into her bathroom to
wash her face.  She then reapplied her make up and styled her hair.  She then
walked over to her closet and pulled out the Whyndams bag and took out her
dress.  She gasped when she realized she had grapped the wrong bag and she
was holding her Valentine's day dress.  She felt the tears coming to her eyes
again, but faught them because she did want to do her make up again for the
third time.  She then heard a knock on her bedroom door.  She quicly put the
dress back in the closet and opend her door.  it was Emily.

Liz:  Wow!... you look amazing.

Em:  Thanks, I cant believe you are not ready yet.

Liz:  Yeah sorry....I got sidetracked.  I was just about to get dressed.

Em: Ok Nikolas and Juan are downstairs so I'll meet you down there

Liz:  Ok I'll be there in a few minutes.

Emily left the room and Liz went back to her closet this time taking out the
correct dress.  Liz removed her robe and slipped into her dress.  She then
walked over to her mirror and let a small smile escape her lips.  She grabbed
her purse and went downstairs.

When she got downstairs Emily,Juan, and Nikolas were all talking with Audrey.
 Liz half expected Lucky to be down there waiting for her.  Liz cleared her
throat to let them know she was there.

Nik:  Wow!  Liz you look Beautiful

Audrey:  yes she does.

Nik:  Here these are for you.  (He hands her a boquet of flowers)

Liz:  Thanks they are beautiful

Audrey:  Ok picture time

Liz:  Oh Gram please no pictures.

Audrey:  Just one with all of you please

Liz agreed and the four of them went to stand infornt of the fireplace.  The
guys in the back and the girls infront of them.  Liz mamaged to smile a
little still wishing Lucky was there  After that they all went outside and
got into the limo.

CHAPTER 6

About 20 minutes later they arrived at the Port Charles Hotel where the prom
was being held.  Emily on Juan's arm walked infront of Liz and Nikolas.  They
entered the ball room and it was decorated with balloons and streamers.  Over
the DJ there was a huge banner that read
                                     Port Charles High School
                                              Class of 2000
                                              Senior Prom

The four of them found their table and Emily and Juan hit the dance floor as
Liz and Nik stayed at the table.

Nik:  Are you okay?

Liz:  Yeah I'm fine.

An hour and a half had passed and Liz and Nik were still sitting at the
table.  At this time Lucky arrived at the hotel dresses in a tux.  He peaked
in the ball room and saw Elizabeth for the first time in over a year.  She
looked so sad but yet so beautiful.  Lucky managed to get Nikolas' attention
letting him know he was there.  Nikolas nodded to Lucky.

Lucky then made his way up to where the DJ was to make a request being
careful not to let Elizabeth spot him.  Nikolas and knew that was his cue.

Nik:  Hey Liz, do you want to dance?

Liz:  (looking at him)  Sure

Nik takes Liz's hand and takes her over to the dance floor as the muisc
starts,  Liz knows the song, she danced to it with Lucky.  before she could
turn away Nik has his arms around her and they start dancing.

Liz rests her head on Nikolas' shoulder and can feel the tears filling her
eyes.  She closes her eyes and can see her and Lucky dancing to this song in
hs room.

Will you still love me tomorrow

Lucky makes his way to the dance floor as he sees the stunned faces of his
classmates as he makes his way to Liz and Nikolas.  Liz still has her eyes
closed and Lucky taps Nik on the shoulder.  Nik then lets go of Liz.  She is
surprized that is he let go so abruptly.  She opens her eyes and finds
herself stairing into a set of deep blue eyes she never thought she would see
again.  She cant move but manages to say his name in a low tone of voice.

Liz:  Lucky?

Lucky:  Shh dont talk,..... just dance with me

Lucky wraps his arms around Liz's waist and she quickly wraps her arms
tightly around his neck.  They begin to move to the music.

Tonight with words unspoken

At this time Liz and Lucky are the only ones dancing.  Everyone else is
surronding them looking on in conplete shock.  Emily, Juan, and Nikolas are
all standing with smiles on the faces.  It was a sight to see

Will you still love me tomorrow

The song fades out and Liz and Lucky just stand in the middle of the dance
floor not moving just holding each other.  Both are crying and then finally
Lucky speaks.

Lucky:  Elizabeth.....you're choaking me

Liz:  (losens her grip and lets out a little laugh)  Oh I'm sorry.....
Lucky, are you really here?

Lucky:  Yeah I'm here baby.  Why dont we go somewhere where we can talk.

Liz nods and the walk off the dance floor.  The entire ball room fills with
the sounds of clapping and cheering as Liz and Lucky walk off.

Em: (tears in her eyes)  Oh that was so beautiful

Nik:  Yes it was,  but now I dont have a date. (he laughs)
