Chapter 3

'I can't believe he said that! Do you believe him? I can't believe he did any of that I can't believe I even LIKED that jerk'' Lucy said pacing around the bedroom.

''Lu......Lucy.......Lucy will you just..........'' Kevin attempted to get a word in edgewise. ''LUCY WILL YOU PLEASE LISTEN TO ME?'' Kevin screamed maybe a little louder then he wanted to. Well it must've worked because Lucy immediately stopped talking.

''Well Doc a simple be quiet would've done fine'' Lucy said as Kevin let out an exasperated sigh.

''Lucy, listen to me In no way am I trying to make an excuse for what Scott did or said or anything but before you keep bashing him just think about he must've felt.'' Kevin said showing some sympathy for what Scott was going through.

''I can't believe you just said that Doc! I mean Scott just walked right in here accusing me of sleeping with you....''

''But you did Lucy. Now Scott is feeling used.''Kevin didn't like the guy but hey he deserved a little compassion right?

''But I wasn't using Scott! I love him but not the way I love you. I mean I love him in that best pal sorta way and then there's you and I love you in that whole heart and soul sorta way and......and WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE SO COMPLICATED?!?!'' Lucy asked falling next to Kevin onto the bed.

''Because Love is complicated'' Kevin said brushing a few loose pieces of hair away from her face before drowning her in a deep kiss.

''Well one part of it that isn't so complicated.....at least I know that I love you and that you love me and I want to spend the rest of my life in your arms'' Lucy said laying her head on Kevin's chest.

''Sounds like a plan to me'' Kevin answered kissing the top of her head.

''I guess I should hurry down to the firehouse and get my things before Scott gets back then I have to go see if I can find a room at the Port Charles Hotel...'' Lucy rambled.

''Why don't you stay here?''

''Here? Wow Doc moving a little fast don't you think?'' Lucy hesitated.

''Well I've really missed you here and I wasn't the one who asked you to leave in the first place so what do you say?'' Kevin asked.

''I say you have an ulterior motive'' Lucy said suspicously.

''Okay, fine you got me. The truth is I would feel safer if you were here with me.'' Kevin admitted.

''Why?''

''Lucy I have to admit I don't trust Ryan'' Kevin explained.

''Ryan? Why not?'' Lucy asked even though she knew why. He locked Kevin up somewhere for a year and stole his life. Yet little miss Evie was able to let him walk around free to reek havoc on the town once again. Lucy had to admitted it. She was having the same feelings also

''I just have this feeling that Ryan is up to something. I think this might be all a game. To make everyone think he's the big bad killer turned good. I would just feel a lot better if I knew you were here with me'' Kevin reasoned.

''Alright maybe it would be safer'' Lucy agreed wrapping her arms around Kevin as they both began to make love just once more.

''........then I went to the lighthouse and Lucy was hiding in the bathroom. I found out she wanted to go back with her ex Kevin Collins. We said a few words to each other then I stormed out and then I came here'' Scott finished his life story.

''Wait did you say Kevin Collins? Isn't he Ryan Chamberlin's twin brother? '' Sydney asked.

''Yeah why do you know him'' Scott answered.

''You could say that. Could you excuse me?'' Sydney asked. Scott nodded and she took out her cell phone and walked towards the bathrooms.

''Ryan? It's Sydney. I don't want to go through with it. No of course not. Please Ryan Don't Please. Okay, Okay I'll do it. Just please don't hurt him'' Sydney hung up the phone and held back the tears. How did she get messed up with Ryan? She couldn't even completely remember. She sat down next to Scott at the table.

''So what about your life story? How did you end up in Port Charles?'' Scott inquired.

''You could say I got mixed up with the wrong type of people'' Sydney explained looking out the window at the darkened rain clouds.

''Like who?''

''It doesn't matter. Look it's raining'' Sydney said in awe of the falling rain.

''Yeah so?''

''Isn't it so beautiful? It can make things grow and bring new life yet it can bring so much destruction. C'mon'' Sydney said taking Scott's hand and walking him out to the docks. Scott wondered what she was doing. He never saw someone so amazed by rain before.

I was thinking that I might fly today
Just to disprove all the things that you say
It doesn't take a talent to be mean
Birds can crash things that aren't seen
Please be careful with me I'm sensitive and I'd like to stay
that way

Sydney ran up to the edge of the docks in the pouring rain and spun around. The raindrops hid her falling tears and the pounding rain stopped her thoughts.

Scott watched Sydney spin around in the rain. He thought she was nuts but there was something else about her. Something that couldn't keep him away. He never remembered feeling this way.

I was thinking that it might do some good
if we robbed the cynics and took all their food
They way what they believe will have taken place
And we can give it to people who have some faith
Please be careful with me I'm sensitive and I'd like to stay
that way

She could feel his eyes on her. He must think I'm nuts. Sydney laughed to herself. She had only known him for an hour and she already couldn't keep him out of her thoughts. May be this was it.

I have this theory that if we're told we're bad
Then thats the only idea we'll ever have
But maybe if we're surrounded in beauty
One day well will become what we see
Cause anyone can start a conflict it's harder yet to disregard it
I rather see the world from another angle
We are everyday angels be careful with me cause i'd like to stay that way

Scott walked up to Sydney in the rain. He got drenched but he really didn't care he picked her up and spun her around they both giggled has her tears washed away.

''Bruce We'll be flying back today. Do you know what do do? Okay. Don't worry Ms. Wright will definatily be going along with our plan. Okay. See you then. Bye'' Ryan hung up his cell-phone. Eve walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around him.

''I hate to leave. Please can't we stay one more week?'' Eve begged.

''Now honey I just want to get back to Port Charles and start our new life together'' Ryan lied then picked up her suitcase and left the hotel. Of course i cant promise that your life will last that long he thought

Chapter 4

"That was absolutely amazing" Lucy said resting her head against Kevin's bare chest.

"Absolutely" Kevin repeated bringing Lucy's lips close to his taking time to breath in everything about her that he had missed for the past year when her cell phone began to ring.

"Oh!!! That darn phone!!" Lucy exclaimed answering it more then annoyed.

"HELLO?!?!"

"Lucy, Hey girl it's Felicia! How's everything in Port Charles?" Felicia voice came through on the other side.

"Felicia!! Oh everything's just great" Lucy answered looking at Kevin. Kevin sat upright remembering how Felicia and Mac jetted off with the girls to Texas after learning Ryan was back in town.

"I tried calling the firehouse but there wasn't an answer, then I tried Jacks but still nothing.... Where are you?"

"Oh girl you're never ever in a million years going to guess where I am this very second" Lucy said watching Kevin walk into the bathroom & start the shower.

"Well.....Spill it!" Felicia answered through the static from the cell phone.

"The lighthouse with my wonderful Doc and....."

"Hold it Luce no offence but are you totally sure It's Kevin? I mean now there's two of him in Port Charles again" Felicia explained cutting Lucy off.

"Felicia! Of course I'm sure it's him! Besides Ryan and Evie are in Timbucktu or where ever on their honeymoon" Lucy said a little hurt at the suggestion that she didn't even know her own doc.

"Luce, you couldn't tell before. Maybe it's all a cover-up with Ryan and he's really there with you but Kevin is locked away some where and...."

"Hold it Give me a sec okay?" Lucy asked.

"But Luce...It's just that.... Luce?" All Felicia could hear was the sound of something like the shower running. Lucy popped her head into the bathroom, opened the shower curtain and there stood Kevin confused at whatever Lucy was up to she inspected his WHOLE body and then left.

"What In the world was that about?!?!?!" Kevin asked aloud as he continued to shower.

"Oh yeah Flea that's definatily him" Lucy giggled.

"You didn't just?" Felicia asked realizing it was Lucy she was talking about "Oh My G-d you did! And over the phone!"

"Hey you asked!" Lucy answered still giggling.

"That's horrible! Poor Kevin!" Felicia began to giggle also "Wait now that's not the reason I called Mac is starting to miss his Job and I think the girls are getting homesick so we're coming back"

"Do you think it's safe?" Lucy asked remembering the confersation her and Kevin had before.

"We've dealt with Ryan before and I think he's done with me."

"But Felicia......."

"If he would've wanted me he could've had me. Remember he was here for a year I'm just saying maybe he has changed. Or at least gotten a new love intrust." Felicia said eager to return to Port Charles.

"Okay well I guess you better get going and start getting packed up" Lucy answered not wanting to argue.

"Actually we already are. We're coming home on a flight today"

"Oh gee thanks! Don't even bother to call your bestest gal pal!" Lucy said.

"Okay Lucy your right I better go" Felicia said rolling her eyes and hanging up the phone.

Lucy hung up her cell phone. She just couldn't help shake this worried feeling she'd been getting about Ryan.

"Doc, We need to talk. I think Ryan is up to something" Lucy called out towards the bathroom knowing she would have to tell him her feelings.

"I better be getting home. I have a lot to explain to my daughter" Scott said not wanting to let go of the moment.

"Yes you do. Well I guess this is it" Sydney answered putting a hand through her soaking wet hair.

"I guess so"

"Bye" Sydney tried to get out of there as fast as possible.

"Wait a second! I want to see you again." Scott said stepping in front of Sydney blocking her path.

"I told you I'm always on the move. You don't want to get messed up with a girl like me. You have better things comin' for ya Sailor" Pure fear wrapped around Sydney. It was happening again like it always had.

"Syd, Listen to me I don't know what it is about you that drives me wild, all I know is that there's something about you that can't keep me away"

"How do you know that? We've only known each other for 3 hours! You don't know a thing about me or my past or even what I'm about! I could be a serial-killer for all you know! " Sydney told Scott who was still standing in her way.

"No. I have let every women I have ever loved walk out of my life I am not about to do that with you" Scott said grabbing her arm.

"LOVE?!?! LOVE?!?! Scott you don't KNOW me!" Sydney screamed back. She didn't want to admit it to herself but she felt it too. She wanted to be with him. But she couldn't drag another person into this mess she called her life.

"Sydney look me in the eye and say you can't feel something between us"

Sydney looked straight into his deep longing brown eyes. She wanted him so bad it hurt. Her father's voice came into her head No Syd! No don't do this to yourself again. Your not worth it. Your scum. You don't deserve to anyone but scum She finally answered. "No Scott I'm sorry" Then she walked away leaving Scott's heart broken once again.

Ryan boarded the plane he had a small bottle of Synide hidden in his jean pocket. Damn he wished Eve didn't make him where those jeans. He hated denim.

"Hey stud" Eve said patting the seat next to her.

Oh great another plane ride from h3ll Ryan thought to himself. It's amazing they even let us on a plane again! Oh boy here we go he thought when Eve started nibbling his ear. He wanted to use the synide right then but he knew the timing had to be just perfect for it all to go to plan. When Eve left to go "freshen up" Ryan pulled the wrinkled old picture of Felicia out of his pocket "Don't worry love we'll be together soon"

"We need to talk" Lucy said walking into the bathroom where Kevin had just finished his shower.

"Don't you ever knock?!?" Kevin asked quickly wrapping a towel around his waist.

"Oh brother It's not like it's anything I haven't seen it before!"Lucy said rolling her eyes. "But that's not the point doc, we need to get some things straight"

"I totally agree Lucy but could you at least wait until I'm dressed before we delve into our deep relationship issues?" Kevin asked walking back into the bedroom beginning to get dressed.

"Relationship issues?!? I was talking about Ryan and his little two timing whore of a wife"

"Yes relationship issues, Lucy and I really wish you would stop calling Eve that" Kevin answered buttoning his shirt.

"What relationship issues? After last night I mean I thought me and you.....I thought we were back together" Lucy asked trying to hid the slight fear in her voice.

"We are Lucy I love you so much and last night was wonderful but having sex doesn't solve everything. I mean you did lie to me and you did get engaged to Scott....."

"But I didn't lie to YOU It was Ryan" Lucy said her voice still a little shaky.

"You didn't know that. Your intentions were still to lie to me" Kevin answered has calmly has he could. It still hurt him that Lucy didn't tell him and Ryan apart and that she went back to Scott.

"No, doc I am so sorry about that you have to believe me. I just didn't want to see you get hurt..." Lucy trailed off.

"I know okay why don't we go downstairs get something to eat and we'll talk about everything that had happened when I was gone, that sound okay?" Kevin comforted Lucy knowing she had not meant to hurt him. He raised his hand wiping the few tears falling down her cheek.

"Okay... but what about Ryan?"

"We can figure out what to do about him too" Kevin said taking her hand in his.

"Alright I have to go stop by Scott's first to pick a few things up" Lucy nodded.

"Okay so what do you want for breakfast?"

"Breakfast? How long has it been since you cooked?" Lucy asked.

"Who said anything about cooking? I was going to order from Kelly's!" Kevin answered shooting a smile at Lucy.

"Oh well then I'll have whatever your having. I better go Flea said that no one answered at the firehouse so maybe I'll be lucky and Scott will still be gone. I really don't want to deal with him right now" Lucy answered wanting to hold off that "talk" with Kevin just a while longer.

"I'll be anxiously awaiting your return..... Then we can talk" Kevin said watching Lucy leave he shook his head knowing Lucy was just avoiding talking to him. "Oh boy this is going to be great" he said aloud dialing the number for Kelly's realizing Ryan had taken it off his speed dial.

Lucy hurried through the firehouse gathering some of her clothes and other items stuffing them into an old suitcase praying to god Scott wouldn't come home.

"Siggy! Siggy! This is no time to play games Siggy! SIGMUND COE COLLINS GET YOUR FEATHERY LITTLE BOOTY OUT HERE THIS SECOND!" Lucy called running back up the steps. She walked back down carrying Sigmund in her arms. "C'mon Siggy we're going back home" Sigmund quacked not understanding a word she was saying.

"Yep Siggy that's right me and daddy are back together. And I know he misses you yes he does. Even better me and you are moving back to the lighthouse. You get to go back to all your little ducky friends at the duck pond and everything's going to be back to the way it was and....."

"What's going back to the way it was Lucy?" Serena asked entering the house holding Scott's hand.

Sydney entered the motel room making sure the door was locked behind her. Suddenly she felt someone grab her from behind she gasped and the man put his hand tightly around her mouth.

"Shut Up! Do you want to ruin the whole plan?" The man asked.

"Get off me! What plan?" Sydney responded pulling his hand off her mouth and facing him.

"Don't tell me Ryan didn't tell you the rest of the plan!" Bruce said aggravated. Why did he always have to do the hard work when Ryan got to fly off to god knows where with that doctor chick? Bruce sighed Eve Lambert what a women he thought to himself.

"Listen I hate to interrupt this little fantisy but what are you talking about Ryan?" Sydney asked confused.

"Don't tell me Ryan didn't tell you that either! I'm not Ryan I'm Bruce"

"Bruce hold up! I thought Ryan's twin's name was Kevin?" Sydney walked into the next small room. "Yep see I have the info right here Kevin Collins......"

"I know! Im the other brother!" Bruce could tell this chick wasn't the brightest crayon in the box.

"Other Brother! How many of you are there?!?!" Sydney was completely startled.

"Oh there's me, Kevin, Ryan, Tryon, Devon...."

"Wait a second? Tryon & Devon? Are they involved with this too?" Sydney asked.

"No they're real-estate agents out of Kentucky. I tell you a little secret..." Bruce continued whispering "we think they're adopted" Sydney just nodded and wondered how in the world she got messed up with these characters. "So What's this big plan?"

"Come, I'll explain it to you in the car" Bruce said leading Sydney out to the car.

Ryan pulled out the small glass container full of synide now was the time. He would get rid of Eve finally. He grinned at the thought of him and Felicia finally being able to live in peace. White picket fence, the American dream sort of thing..... of course he might have to tie her to the chair. Oh his Felicia was so quirky always trying to escape from him. He was just about to poor the synide into Eve's drink when she finally came back.

"Ryan, what are you doing?"
