EPISODE 11

Written by Solo

   * Four heroes - (Well, Tim had already been separated from our trio.)
   * Three tunnels
   * A choice - A decision made
   * Each hero was now alone...alone down a dark corridor.  Three boys
from the future and a girl from the present.
   * Their prize - A time machine that seems as illusive as a size 10
waistline.
   * Who shall we follow first...
- The tall, vain one?
- The short, aggressive one?
- The guitarist?
- Or Solo?

   {Reader vote - Tim 8, Paul 22, Solo 14, Richard 2.  Richard has it.
Well I never said which way I was counting! <G>}

We join Richard, who chose the right corridor...No not the right
corridor but the right hand corridor. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Anyway we find him huddled against the wall.
"I'm not scared, I'm not scared." he muttered over and over again.
Suddenly a flash of white caught his eye.
"Smuffy?" he whispered...no it couldn't be - Smuffy was dead.  Tim
cooked him for dinner one night.  The flash of white caught his eye
again.  "Smuffy?  Smuffy?" Quickly Richard stood up and followed the
small white shape down the dark rock-lined corridor.

"This man is eighteen years old.... So we can't show you his - brains
(well, he does have brains it's just that at that age they are situated
in his...)"
Tim walked along a corridor not dissimilar to the ones Paul, Solo and
Richard were wandering up at this very moment.  He too, was searching
for the time machine.
"This man is Christopher Skase...So we can't his - passport.  Hmmmm
that was a good one.  This man is Christopher Skase...So we can't show
you his - medical certificate."
Tim paused, chuckled to himself and walked on.  "This man is the
President of the United States...So we can't show you his - monogamy."
Tim wandered further up the corridor.  Suddenly something caught his
eye.  It was a very good-looking man.  After a few minutes he realised
he was looking into a mirror.  The corridor around him suddenly lit up.
The corridor was lined with mirrors... "Yes!"

*****

"Pretty ballerina, Pretty ballerina." Paul sang as he skipped up the
long corridor.  He stopped as he came upon a large roadsign.
It read 'No Skipping for 20 Meters'
Paul stared in horror at the sign.  He then stepped around it and
skipped on... A few meters later he stopped again.  In front of him was
a dead end.  There appeared to be no way through.
Huh? Paul thought, then he turned to the left.  There was what
appeared to be a black cylinder poking out of the wall.  It looked for
all the world like the nose of a camera.
   A camera?
Suddenly, a spotlight glared down on him from somewhere above.  He
looked down and discovered that he was standing in the middle of a very
big, yellow spot.
Something about this very big, yellow spot felt familiar somehow.
Suddenly the wall in front of him faded and he found himself standing
before a large, mostly female audience.  Glancing behind, he realised
that the other wall had also disappeared and now three desks were
positioned behind him.
Next to the camera, was a large-print teleprompter.   Paul stared
down the lens of the camera and grinned cheekily.  His eyes twinkled.
In his hands was a pile of newspaper clippings.
The crowd roared and Paul found himself starting to speak.

*****

Solo wandered up the corridor.  She had been walking for only five
minutes when she came to a large solid wood door.  There were no door
handles.  Solo shrugged and knocked loudly on the door.
A small flap at her feet swung open and Flacco stuck his balding head
out.
"Yip!  Oh, it's about time you got here.... I've been waiting for
AGES!  I just got upto twenty-one years of AGE when you knocked."
The flap swung closed and a few seconds later, the large door split
down the middle and then slowly swung open.
Solo entered the small room beyond.
Against one wall was a small computer screen, below it were three
largish CD-Rom drives.  In front of the screen was a coloured keyboard.
Next to the keyboard was a large BLUE button.  A large digital clock sat
beside the screen.
A sign above the computer screen read 'Time Machine - DO NOT TOUCH'

Well, Solo has found the Time machine...But
            Can she fix it?
Will Richard find the Smuffy look alike?
Will Tim ever leave the corridor of Mirrors?
Will Paul stay with the GNW audience or will
He throw it all in to help Solo?
And why didn't Flacco take Solo to where the
Time Machine was in the first place
And save the rest of us from 8
          episodes that have gotten us
          absolutely nowhere???

STAY TUNED...
