"No Paul don't open that....door!"
EPISODE SEVEN
Solo, Richard and Paul had walked down dozens of corridors and checked what seemed liked hundreds of rooms, searching for the rogue time machine or the missing Timbo, when they had come accross a RED door - Reader do you recall way back in episode two (yes i know it was a long time ago for those of you suffering from senile dementia!) when Solo was warned by Flacco not to open the RED door? well, yep, you guessed it The minute Solo mentioned this warning, Paul accused her of being chicken and opened the door.
Slowly Solo, Paul and Richard peeked around the edge of
the door and peered cautiously into the darkened interior.
Paul looked down at Solo crouched below him
? He was getting a thrill out of not being the shortest
one on board the titanic II anymore.
Solo could feel Paul's gaze but refused to turn her head
and look up at him. I hate tall people, she thought to herself, though
Paul was shorter than the average guy he was still taller than her and
quite frankly that was too tall in her opinion.
Paul looked back into the enormous dark cavern that stretched
out ahead of them. He couldn't see anything wrong. Suddenly he stood upright
and knocked his head against Richard's chin.
"Ouch!" he cried and pushed Richard back.
"Ouch!" Richard cried as he crashed into the wall behind
him. Richard rubbed his chin and Paul rubbed the top of his head.
"Shhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" Solo cried, still crouching at the
door.
"Well, it looks fine to me." Paul said loudly and stomped
through the door. knocking Solo to her knees in the process.
"Paul, wait, don't go in there!" she cried out but naturally
the stubbon prat ignored her.
Richard leaned over and helped her back up. "We'd better
go after him!" he said in a stage whisper.
"Yeah, i guess you're right. Lets not get split up."
and with Richard following close behind her, Solo led the way into the
room.
"Paul?" Solo called quietly a few minutes later.
"Paul?" Richard called quietly a few minutes after that.
But Paul had disappeared.
"i've got a bad feeling about this." Solo muttered. As
they moved into the room it grew steadily darker.
"You scared Rich?" Solo asked
"Nope...You?" Richard asked his voice breaking under
the strain.
"Nope." Solo replied.
The two had stopped walking and now they just stared
at one another.
*****
Paul stomped further into the dark cavern. Scaredycats!
he thought. How were they going to find this stupid machine if those two
didn't check every room. Paul tripped over something and landed flat on
his face.
"Ouch!" he cried out loudly.
"what the F...?" it had become too dark to see clearly
- when had that happened? Paul swallowed hard and felt around on his hands
and knees...what had he tripped over?
He ran his hands over a large warm immobile mass. he
felt material, a thick belt, sew-on badges, metallic "Ouch, S hit!" Paul
yanked his finger back and started sucking on it. he tasted blood. He had
stuck his finger on a metallic badge that hadn't been clasped properly.
What had he tripped over? Suddenly a light flashed on over his shoulder
and Paul found himself staring at a body lying in front of him. The body
was lying on it's side away from him, so he couldn't see whose body it
belonged to.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" Paul screamed.
Then he realised that to be able to see the body, someone
had to be standing behind him holding a torch. Quickly Paul spun around.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!" he screamed again before the
cricket bat the man standing behind him was holding aloft swung down and
connected with his temple.
For Paul everything suddenly went dark again...but this
time it wasn't because the lights had gone out, and he crumpled to the
floor.
The flashlight switched off.
*****
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
Solo and Richard froze...
"That was Paul!" they both said at once adn ran in the
direction of the scream. After they had taken four steps, Solo grabbed
Richard's arm and pulled him to a stop.
"Wait...why are we running down a pitch dark corridor
towards a scream?"
"This can only be the work of Extra terrestrial beings...this
is a typical encounter experience where the two abductees are trapped in
a cold cavern, with no light and the fact that they have been split up
from their other companions...Not everything is as it appears to be...We
are not alone in here Solo, the truth is in here - we just have to know
where to look for it...Remember, in this kind of situation, we can trust
no one - espically the government. During my many investigations on board
the Titanic II. I have come to the conclusion, that there are things that
can not be explained and in the case of Tim and Paul, should not be explained.
One of these unexplainable phenomena is the fact that no matter how many
rimes it has been done before, no matter how bloody obvious it is not to
do it. hero's in stories still walk into a dark room without turning on
the lights or waiting for help to arrive."
"no Richard...I can't accept your wild theory. there
has to be a scientfic and logical explanation for this phenomena." Solo
objected. "But we don't have time to find a lightswitch or wait for help
- so we are the help, so stop pontificating and lets go."
Solo started down the dark corridor again. "you see Richard,
all ready we have prevented the obvious from happening be being aware that
it is trying to catch us out. Because we know and are aware of it's attempts,
we can take steps to prevent it from happening to us - by taying together
for example and not getting split up so what ever got Tim and Paul can't
get us one by one, don't you think Rich?"
Solo looked around.
"Rich?"
Solo stopped walking.
"Rich?"
Solo looked back down the dark corridor.
"Richard?"
She paused... "oh Shit!"
Then she heard heavy footsteps come up behind her. She
spun around.
"Who's there?"
The only answer she got was a lump of the forehead as
the cricket bat connected with her skull.
Solo crumpled to the ground.
Now honestly, who in thier right minds walk into a dark
cavern with no light and no help?
What will happen to solo?
What has happened to Richard?
What happened to Paul?
Where the hell is Tim?
Does anyone really give a shit?
